The twitter fandom has asked for an extension because they don't want a rushed reunion..because with the way the show is going now if it ends on 18 May we will see a rushed reunion with a lollipop family hug on the last episode ..so it make sense ..if there's a 3 month extension ..we can get Avneil reunion slowly...they can get together now probably for Mowgli ...because some spoilers say that Neil will get custody but Mowgli won't want to leave his mother ( we know this is true...he'll never leave his mom) ...so Avni has to go with him to Khanna Mansion...Mitali gets out of the ordinary picture and Avni and Neil rediscover their love ...because Prakashs truth is not going to come out in the bear future...only Avni knows about it and she will never hurt Prakash...and Neil will only forgive her wholly once he knows about Prakash ...so that will take time ...so the 3 months extension makes sense ..because even in today's shooting looks like the custody case is still on because Mowgli is still with Avni
