Please no rotten tomatoes for the small part. I just wanted to portray a happy Khanna family, their bonding and their life.
This is how I always imagined AvNeil after marriage, engaging in banters, enjoying and stealing moments.❤️
AvNeil OS- The Circus!
Neil returned from work so see his family, immersed in the kitchen. Avni worked only in the mornings, afternoon she would be back home, before her naughty, mischievous kid would be back from school. Shweta had told Avni not to worry for Vansh, but Avni didn't want to burden her ageing parents in law. Shweta and Prakash were wonderful grandparents, they loved Vansh beyond anything, pampered him and even sometimes scolded him when he was wrong. But Avni always felt that it was their time to relax, take the much-needed rest and be comfortable in their old age.
Avni saw her mother in the kitchen making laddoos, Vansh's favourite. Avni hugged her from back.
Shweta: "Ye lo, tum bhi khaa lo... as she fed her a morsel to taste.
Avni: "Bahut acha hai...par maine aapse kaha na...aap kyun itna kaam karti hai?
Shweta: "Yeh kaam thodi hota hai...Vansh ko bahut pasand hai..."
Avni: "Okay...as you say. Yeh shaitaan aya ki nai?
Shweta: "Haan, kapde badal raha hai...phir pure ghar main kudega aur daudega...
Avni: "Jayiye, aur thoda aaram kijiye...shaam hote hi aapko aur pareshan karega...
Shweta left the kitchen, leaving all the unfinished chores for Avni to complete. Neil who was listening to this entire conversation, had a huge grin on his face. How much did the woman he loved, cared for him, his kids and his mother.
Avni: "Kya soch rahe ho? Aaj itni jaldi kaise...kaam nahi hai...ya phir meri yaad aagayi? she questioned him raising an eyebrow.
Neil: "Tum kitna khayal rakhti ho sab ka...khaas karke meri maa ka...
Avni smacked him hard.
Avni: "Tumhaari maa...meri kuch nai hai...
Listening to their banters, Shweta walked in the living room to see them running behind each others.
Shweta: "Tum logon ke bache hai abhi, aur tum log bachon ki tarah ladh rahe ho...
Avni: "Maa, ye keh raha hai ki aap sirf uski maa hai...ab main maroongi nai to kya karoongi...
Shweta twisted his ear, and the poor guy winced in pain.
Neil: "Acha maaf karde...kya maa tu har baat uski side leti hai...
Shweta: "Chup kar...kitna tang karta hai usko..."
Neil: "Ajeeb family hai meri...koi meri side pe nai hai..."
Shweta smacked him and left the husband and wife to their chores and their usual banters.
Avni: "Ab to batao, itni jadli kyun aaye ho?"
Neil: "Aaj Vansha ka circus jaane ka plan hai...aap chalengi?"
Avni: "Why not? Par ek minute, ye plan kab bana?"
Neil: "Surprise tha...Vansh bahut zid kar raha tha...main aur kya karta?"
Avni: "Vansh ko bighad ke rakhoge...weekdays pe ye sab..."
Avni was about to say something, but Vansh attacked Neil and was screaming and excited. Avni smiled, seeing their bundle of joy enjoying the moments of life, with the man who mattered, his father. Neil, the name that mattered to her, her lover, her best friend, her husband and the father to her kid. Neil helped Vansh in the car, as Avni was busy packing some drinks and snacks for these three.
As Neil, Avni and their kid drove away, Shweta waved them a good bye. Shweta was content. Her son had found the right girl, whose love was like a devotion. Her son had wonderful children. What else could a mother ask for? She retired for the night.
Neil and Avni came late night, picking up Vansh in their arms, the kid fast asleep. The kid enjoyed, enjoyed every moment, they laughed, played and shopped too. As Avni tucked her kid in, kissing them a good night, Neil engulfed her. Avni silently thanked her God. As they took steps back towards their room, destiny smiled at its two beautiful children laughing in happiness.
