"Neil are you even moving " Avni called from far infront
Neil rolled his eyes "Some people dont have the energy you have, stop complaining"
Avni stopped, turning back to face him "You are literally the most aggravating"
"Handsome man you've ever seen" he interrupted
Avni shook her head "I hate you, you know that right"
Neil raised his brow "Oh don't lie, ive seen you looking at me like you want to rip my clothes off"

"Only so I can strangle you with them" she pointed out
Neil pointed to a car "Oh wow, look how lucky are we"
Avni grabbed his wrist "We're in the middle of a forest, I dont think we should just trust that car is safe"
Neil ignored her protests and dragged her forward "Come on"
Neil pulled the car open, spotting the car keys on the seat he picked them up and showed them to Avni
"How lucky are we"
"Neil, put them down, I dont think this isnt a good idea, there's a reason this car has been deserted with its keys in the midst of a forest"

"You know what Avni, you need to be a risk taker like me"
"Oh yeah, says the person who was to scared to chase a theif"
Neil gasped "I wasnt scared, I was just smart, now get in"
Avni got in the car and waited for Neil to start it
"Do you even know where you're going"
Neil smiled "Nope, but if we don't know where we are going, we can't get lost"
Avni rolled her eyes "That doesnt even make sense"

Neil tried to see through the muddy window, Avni let out a scream as the car jolted and started to rock, she wound her window down, peering out "Oh my god, we're on a cliff"
Neil pushed his foot down on the brake, pulling the handbrake up he turned the engine off "Dont make any sudden movements"
Avni sighed angrily "You know I was just thinking it was a good idea to start dancing now, of course im not going to make any sudden movements, idiot"

Neil closed his eyes "Phir bhi dil hai hindustani" he whispered
Avni raised her brow "Is it really time to sing now"
"Hey" Neil replied, offended "The song makes me feel strong, so if you dont mind"
"My god" Avni replied, frustrated "take your seat belt off and make sure the doors are unlocked"
The car rocked again making Avni grab Neil's hand
"Ah see who's scared now" he joked
"This isnt funny, we wouldn't be in this situation if you didnt think it was a good idea to get in this car"

Neil ignored her comment "In 3, open your door and climb out slowly okay"
Avni nodded and Neil began to count "1,2,3"
They both opened their doors and climbed out, hands first
Avni screamed as her foot slipped when she got out making her roll to the edge of the cliff, teetering on the end
Neil ran over, grabbing her hand, he pulled her up "Is your ankle still playing up"
She nodded, squeezing her eyes shut tightly in pain
Neil picked her up "I see a road, so I will just carry you"
Avni didnt have the energy to refuse so didnt put up a fight

"Oh and by the way, we wouldnt have been in any of these situations if you didnt run after the thief"
"Oh excuse me for being a good citizen"
Neil threw his head back, groaning "My back aches"
"Good" she looked away, trying to hide her smile, throughout this whole time, she hadn't thought of Shaurya in ages now, Neil was a good distraction for sure
Neil cheered as he spotted a bench "Finally, a break"
He put her down on the floor, then led on the bench "Excuse me" Avni shouted

"You're excused"
Avni tried to stand up to give Neil a piece of her mind but ended up falling on top of him, he grabbed her waist as her head hit his chin hard
"Ouch"
Avni buried her face in his chest and let out a laugh
Neil looked down at her shoulders shaking and couldnt help but smile at her laughing
He began to tickle her sides, making her move around "Neil stop" she cried with laughter
"Neil stop" he mimicked, laughing along with her

"Urgh, young kids and their PDA these days" a man muttered
His wife hit his arm with her bag "They're in love" she hissed
Neil pulled back, making space for Avni to sit down
"Uh actually we're"
Neil wrapped his arm around her waist, tugging her closer "Yes, we're in love and we're stuck here, is there anyway you can help us get home" Neil batted his eyelashes
Avni glared "Why lie"
"Because they are more likely to help" he whispered

"Im Anjali and this is Ram, we can give you a ride in the morning, but for tonight you can stay with us"
Neil stood up "Thank you so much"
Ram looked away unhappily as they all walked back to the house.
"So this is the house, we only have one spare room, so you'll have to stay together" Anjali smiled
Avni grimaced and Neil just chuckled

After both showering and changing into clothes they borrowed, they both got into bed
Avni leant on her elbow "This is the line, don't cross it"
Neil saluted "Yes Sir, anything else"
"Yes, dont snore or ill suffocate you with a pillow"
"Were you a criminal in a past life because you're so violent" Neil replied, closing his eyes
Avni tugged at the blanket
"Oh my, how much of this blanket do you need" she growled
"Well if you didnt have these pillows here, we wouldn't have this problem, you know what"

Neil threw the pillows on the floor and tugged her to him "Now we both have blanket"
"But"
"Shh, I want to sleep" he closed his eyes
Avni looked up at Neil, she gulped at the proximity, trying to calm her racing heart as she closed her eyes
