Part 3-
After exchanging numbers with Neil, she was oh so tired of his constant messaging, but also slightly endeared, it seemed no matter how hard she tried to ignore him, her heart still raced everytime she recieved a new message.
He was new and different and everything she needed right now to make her forget Shaurya and the pain he had given her.
Her phone rang by her side, she couldn't help the small smile that made its way to her lips as she read Neil's name.
"Hello"
"In a week today, Shaurya is hosting a party that he has invited my friend to so we are gonna go and"
"No" Avni replied sternly "No, I dont want to face him"
Neil sighed "Listen Avni, he hurt you and the only way he will get away with this is if you let him, he broke your heart and you need to show him you've moved on"
Avni thought for a second "Fine, but how am I going to do that"
Neil smirked "We have a week, allow me to train you in the art of making someone jealous"

Avni looked through the different dresses in the shop "No, no"
Neil banged his head against the wall "Pick something please" he begged
Avni scowled at him, she turned back around to see a man shoving a dress in a bag that he hadnt paid for, he casually walked out of the shop
"Hey, stop, thief"
Neil looked up to see Avni running after the man and ran quickly after her
Avni ran through the busy streets and down an alley way, she looked around quickly unable to find him when Neil joined her
"Leave it, he's gone, lets go"
"Uh uh uh, not so fast"
Avni and Neil's eyes widened as they saw the man holding a gun toward them.
Neil grabbed Avni's hand and ran forward with her, knocking the man over they ran towards the woods
"Neil, I cant run any more, im out of breath"
Neil rolled his eyes "We dont have time for you to be out of breath, what was the need to chase him, can't you mind your own business"
He looked behind him to see five men chasing them now
He tugged at her hand and ran up the hill, he pulled her through the trees and then down another hill
"Do you even know where we are going"
Neil glared back at her "No, but thats not our biggest problem right now"
Neil pushed Avni up against a tree, covering her mouth with his hand, he looked around, Avni looked up at him.
She wasnt used to being so close to Neil, she took the time to really look at him.
His jawline was sharp, his stubble gave him a matured look. His eyes were a dark chocolate brown, slightly hypnotising if you gazed in them for to long. His arms were quite muscular, not to the point they were to muscular, just the right amount.
His cologne was intoxicating, making her slightly heady.
Neil looked down at her "Finished looking at me" he whispered, smirking
Avni looked down at his hand on her mouth and he quickly removed it.
"I wasnt looking at you"
Neil chuckled "Then what were you doing"
Avni smiled "Well I just figured, to get away from those men, I dont need to run faster than them, I just need to run faster than you" she shoved him back, turned and ran quickly through the forest
Neil's jaw dropped before he came to his senses and ran after her
Neil caught up with Avni, waved and ran straight past her making her huff loudly.
To busy focusing on Neil running, her sandal got caught on a twig and she flew forward.
Neil stopped, turned slowly, looked down at Avni and then up at the men quickly approaching.
He ran toward Avni, picked her up and continued to run.
Avni looked up, shocked
"Why save me"
Neil carried on looking forward "Think of me as your knight in shining armour"
Neil put Avni down and looked around, his hands on his hips breathless
"Isnt there like a haunted cottage or something with water supply and clothes"
Avni raised her brow "You watch to many films"
Neil put his hand on his chest "Tv shows actually"
Avni shook her head "We won't find a cottage like that, this is a deserted woodland area, what are you hoping for"
Neil leaned forward "What happens when the hero and heroine find the cottage in the woods" he winked
Avni swore under her breath "If my ankle didnt hurt so much, I would hit you"
Neil smirked "Ooh tough love, I like it"
Avni grabbed a twig and threw it as his head
"Then I bet you loved that" she crossed her arms and looked away
