The entire forum is in panic mode since zain's interview was released where he requests fans to watch the show on tv and not online. If zain has given this interview right now, it means that he is aware that the show is in danger due to the channel heavily scrutinising the shows ratings.
The problem is that the channel and cv's don't actually know the reason for the low ratings or why the show struggles so much to attract solid viewership, and they instead just make changes according to what they THINK is the reason for the ratings being low. Instead of giving the channel and cv's the change to wrongly guess the reason for why the shows ratings are average, why can't we just collectively come up with a brief list of at least three changes the channel/ cv's need to bring to the show to improve the show and then pass the message on to them by making sure that the same message is repeatedly passed on to them by as many of the fans as possible? This way they will understand what the majority of fans want to see instead of themselves guessing and making horrid changes that ruin the show more? To explain the four options I have created:
1)Fun family moments/ comedy/ romance balanced with drama?:
If we look at ekta's shows like kundali bhagya, the shows aren't stuffed with negativity and drama every week, but instead the viewers get to see some drama mixed with comedy, light-hearted family moments and romance. This is especially true if they have a dramatic track going on that is dragged for a while. They won't just have episodes upon weeks of just showing negativity and the couple separated, but they will show the leads's romance, nok jhok as well as fun family moments too, and sometimes they show one or two whole episodes dedicated to positive scenes with romance and comedy. Then you have NK which jumps from showing three months of endless negativity where the villains are given tons of screen space, and straight into another negative track or mission of the leads where again we get limited positive scenes of the lead's romance and family moments/ comedy. You can't overdose the show with back-to-back negativity and drama and expect the viewers to not get bored.
2)Negative characters shouldn't occupy too much screen space?
Since the juhi track up until this current avneil seperation/ jail track, the leads joint scenes as well as scenes with other supporting characters are heavily decreased in favour of showing excessive amount of villain plotting, the villains making the lead's lives miserable, and ultimately making us feel like the villains are the leads of the show, as they occupy too much screen space.
3)Don't overdose show with missions and negative tracks?
The leads are constantly out and about, back-to-back on a mission against the villains, and then when the mission is over, the show gets straight into the negative and dramatic emotional tracks. We want some positivity and happiness in the show too.
4)Lighthearted and feel-good tracks balanced with negative?
Instead of having back-to back overdramatic and negative tracks, sometimes we should have some funny and light-hearted tracks that are lead and family oriented. These kind of tracks are a breath of fresh air when you get used to seeing too much drama in the show.
