At one time this show made it to Top 5, and was consistently in Top 10 in the first 6 months after leap! The story was fresh, fast-paced. It was about revenge, but it had romance and intensity and action as well.
Leads were charming and the male lead was super hot, had swag, but was a gentleman. A REAL man, not some MCP snob with a bad attitude and always fooled by Vamps. The female lead had attitude, but not the sort of attitude which is just all talk and no real action. She didn't talk that much, but she had more action in her. She had character, but she was still goal oriented and not beyond choosing the wrong method to achieve the right aim. In fact, this heroine was grey, and the hero was more a White Knight!
This show had the formula "Down pat". I used to say AvNeil's love story was simply YUM! Because it was. Up until they dragged Choohi drama too much. Even now AvNeil are a DREAM to watch, at least for me. But the story surrounding them is dripping with negativity and sometimes illogical drama. But still this show is 100 times better than most crap shows. However, the TRP winning formula for this show was their "Point of difference" and the CV's should have continued to keep that, instead of trying to inject Typical formulas into this show.
It was never typical and that is what worked for it!
