I was in the washroom freshing up when I heard the doorbell.I had reached from the college and decided to take a shower before meeting HIM.I heard Suhani opening the door.I had finished the shower when I heard HIS voice.Yes,It was HIS voice.I don't know why but my heart was jumping with joy while hearing his voice.It was a "Hiii." Might be to Suhani. I silently stood in the washroom to hear more.I heard him saying, "I'm Mahir,and your new neighbour,in 902" We were in 901. "Oh,Nice to meet you." It was Suhani. "Please come in".He must have come in and would have have sat on the sofa."Tea or Coffee" "No,Thanks." The usual hospitality. For the next few seconds,it was silence. "So your name is" "Oh,I'm sorry,forgot to introduce myself,I'm Suhani.I am studying third year M.B.A in St.Xavier's College." Suhani and I were in different colleges. "Um...So are you alone here" What,He just asked Suhani is she alone. He must be hoping that I must be living here. Oh,Seriously. What if he just asked her because he didn't get anything else to ask. Oh,Bela,You are keeping your hopes very high. Anyway,I waited for Suhani's reply. "No,I'm sharing this apartment with my friend,Bela.""Oh,That's great."His tone conveyed that he was very happy. "What's she doing" He asked. Wait,WHAT!!! Was he having interest in me??? I felt like dancing. Fortunately,I was in the bathroom.I danced,literally. "Excuse me,I will come now." Suhani came into my room.
MAHIRMy happiness had no bounds when I heard that Bela lives in my opposite apartment. Yes,She is here. I was about to ask more about her when Suhani excused herself and went into one of the rooms. I decided to explore her living room. There were a lot of photos of her and Suhani. There she was smiling looking at me in one of the photo. She really looked a lot more cute when she smiles. And that smile was meant for me. I would soon make the owner of that smile mine. I was immersed in her smile when heared someone clearing her throat. It was Suhani. She caught me red handed while enjoying Bela's beauty. "Um,sorry,I was just" I couldn't come up with anything. I was bad at lying. And I really hate people who lie ."So,what were you telling" "What? Sorry?" I was confused. "No,before I went" "Oh that...That was...Let me remember" I clearly remember what was it,but she must not think I'm into it. "Yes,I got it.What's she doing?" "Who?" This Suhani was driving me nuts. "Bela" I replied. Her face showed an expression that I wasn't sure of. "She is studying B.A English final year." "Is she single?" I decided to be straight forward. I wasn't getting what I wanted and this was going forever. She was taken aback by this sudden question. "Actually..." I was waiting. " No,she isn't." "WHAT" I was yelling. "No way" "It was love at first sight" Suhani explained. "They got married in a month and it has been two years since." I got all the information I needed.
