He may understand the difference later on but initially I doubt he will

He is and have given bela any chances to come clean about whatever that is bothering her but she hasn't due to many reasons

Hope he at least listens to bela before coming to a judgment and gets hurt himself and bela in the process

What is she waiting for ..

I thought she would tell truth in last episode but did not do ...now vish vik bela need not even stay in sehgal house ..so why she delaying

Varuni I might say that u somewhere caught a point i want to explain here Bela treated the crown as a family property because if u talk of an orthodox system of monarchy the throne Nd crown is the property of the ruling family it is always either the firstborn child of a monarch or the closest relative to which the throne goes in case the current ruler dies or vacates the throne the only way of transfer of crown to outside of the family is through conquest the way Vikrant or Vishakha wanted to acquire it

Mahir is blindly trusting Bela nd he is lucky that bela has no wrong intentions though he trusted Bela when she was trying to kill him I can say he has been more lucky than bela has been but will he be this lucky in the future. As the episode r going forward the chances that anyone other than sumitra will be Vikrant mother so the person he trusts the most in the world his mother will be the one betraying him and u know atleast for sometime Mahir would trust his mother. Maybe his father may have something to do with this plot as well.

A very nice topic u brought into discussion, unfortunately we never know...only time tells us who is real and who is fake but because of that we can't just stop trusting people. How would we live if we do not trust anyone

I honestly tried to forget about this post after reading and liking it!,but I couldn't, it kept poking at my heart.

Sometimes through your posts and replies I feel like you are so innocent and I just want to protect you from everything bitter! I see my younger self in you.

Everyone in the world is different and has very different morals.

We can only trust people and define our own values, that, is in our control.
How people treat our trust and values, that is not in our hands and will never be.

Now just because couple of people betrayed us, like bela was betrayed initially, we just can't stop being nice and believing in people again.
If we do that, we loose the essence of who we are. We cannot change because of few bad experiences, yes, we can become alert and keep an eye out for red flags, we can become little guarded but we cannot stop believing in people.

There is always a risk before trusting people, there is always a chance of heart break. Before proceeding we need to decide whether this person is worth taking the risk of being heart broken!
If not you will never get to know!

Keerthija, first of all, nice post. Well put.

Now coming back to your question. You need to remember that this is a serial and that too a finite one and it is set in a fictional world. Here no one does anything for fun. Everything happens for a reason because they cannot afford to waste their precious episodes on frivolous things. Even if Mahir holds Bella's hand it will be for a reason. On the other hand the daily soaps have infinite number of episodes to waste so they can show n number of filler episodes. Jamini, Shaan, Vik, Vish were all out there to get Bella. Vik and Vish were the people she trusted the most and they betrayed her. Now Juhi is doing the same thing.

I am not saying what they show is fictional. In real life also there are chances that you will be betrayed by your best friend or your boyfriend will cheat on you. But we must remember that not everyone is out there to hurt you.

I firmly believe that Karma is a bitch and what goes around comes around. People say that you will have to suffer in your next life if you commit sins in this one. I beg to differ. Just like you can't leave a hotel without settling your account, you cannot leave this world without settling your account of good deeds v/s your bad deeds.

As Fibby said, you cannot stop trusting people just because someone betrayed you. Your trusting someone is your good karma and them betraying you is their bad karma. Just because you were betrayed by someone you don't set out to avenge that betrayal. Rest be assured that their life take care of them. They will pay for hurting you. Even if you don't get to see them suffer they will suffer.

Wanting to see someone suffer is a bad karma in itself. Never fall prey to that.

I know that is not very comforting but I have trick which i use. Look at it this way. Each person comes in your life for a specific purpose. If someone betrays you then think that maybe that person was in your life just to show what betrayal feels like and move on.

I believe in looking at things with an empowering context rather than one that makes you feel powerless.

So someone betraying you could be looked upon as

He/she taught me a life lesson instead of saying he/she betrayed me.

Learning means going ahead in life. Whereas betrayal is bitterness that makes you revisit those memories over and over again.

I hope I did not sound so preachy. I just thought that you are so young and innocent that maybe this little trick will help you in remaining innocent.

It actually depends on the monarchy itself. Most of the monarchies in the world applied either salic law or semi salic law. In which in the salic law only male and descendants of the male royal family members can inherit the throne. In semi salic law only male descendants can inherit the throne and in case the male descendants of the male line have been exhausted then male from the female line can inherit the throne. In ancient times it is actually the most common form of monarchy itself. The second most popular form of monarchy is male preference primogeniture in which male child of the monarch will take precedence of the female children of the monarch despite the birth of order. It is only starting in the year of 2000s did many European monarchies started adopting equal primogeniture where the firstborn despite being a male or a female have equal right to the throne.

The throne have always run amongst the royal family and usually pass down from one royal family member to another royal family member. If Bella wanted to abdicate the throne to the next in line it is actually within her rights to do so. And even though Vish is the best friend and advisor to Bella, at the end of the day she is not the monarch. The monarch, the crown and the throne at the end of the day is being decided upon by the monarch and not the advisors.

We as the viewers know that Bella loves Mahir. She will not do any dhoka to Mahir and that she will gladly sacrifice herself for Mahir's sake. But, Mahir has nothing but his blind trust to Bella. He trusted Bella now, but he also trusted Bella even when Bella hated Mahir and thought that Mahir was Vikrant's killer and she was trying to kill Mahir again and again. Mahir did not know the fact that Bella was trying to kill him. But, if she had succeeded in her quest of killing Mahir at one point in the past. Despite the blind trust then Bella would have done dhoka to Mahir.

I think the only fact that she is still hiding the truth to Mahir is because she cannot bear to lose Mahir at any cost and she wants to spend her life with Mahir. When she first decided that she wants to tell Mahir about her feelings and her truth, she said that Mahir most probably will not accept the fact that she came to the Sehgal house to avenge her old lover and kill Mahir's closest friends and younger brother. But then her feelings from that point had grown and evolved. Now she cannot live without her Mahir and at the back of her mind despite being assured by Mahir multiple times she always thinks that Mahir will not be able to accept her if he comes to know the truth about her past, her real identity and who she is.

But the Bella has the moral responsibility to at least check whether the next candidate is actually even wort it or not. She can't simply hand over the crown by having a conversation about it in the middle of the night. Abdication has its own repercussions and needs to be done thoughtfully. Especially in turbulent times for the kingdom. Bella is facing internal threats from Vik and his mother. On top of that Giddhs are an external threat. in such times she can't and shouldn't simply pass on the crown just because her younger sister demanded it. As a queen her first priority should be towards her people and not towards her sister's whims and fancies. Just like she always keeps her people before Mahir she needs to do the same with her sister as well.
