Shootout track was just to make Megha realize the importance of Mohan. Don't you guys see any difference in her post this shootout? I can clearly see it when she cried while trying to be stern with Mohan...

Remarriage track was getting build up slowly and slowly with that letter...Agar shootout nahi hota toh Megha saaf shaadi ke liye maana kar deti no matter what happens! But now post the shootout, Megha knows that she's getting drawn to Mohan and hence she needs to get away from him...
