I wont say there was anything necessarily wrong with the episode, it was just, like you said, underwhelming. And all the more for one so hyped! Underwhelming in execution, pace, and content.

I can imagine why Kunal himself was tweeting about the "action" because that's all the episode seemed to show - too much of dragged chase scenes. The last scene - again like you said - is not lost upon me entirely in terms of the symbolism. Not just that they run into each other at a marriage, but the Rangrez making a comeback in completing the circle of one chasing the other with that kind of urgency! But that's EXACTLY what! I expected myself to be on the edge of the seat watching this episode - if for nothing in the plot of gang chase, then at least, at the VERY least, out of anticipation from Megha's POV, out of that flooding belief in Mohan in the last moment - but honestly? I just felt a disconnect!

Exactly! They DRAGGED...and the last scene...good god, I love Rangrez but I honestly expected to feel MORE impact at the moment it's played...was it supposed to be a high? Seriously in the middle of ALL THAT we should feel all "Aww Mohan you're so HAPPY to see her that you forgot that you're surrounded by GUNDE chasing you?"😕😆...I'm sorry but I just disconnected there...I couldn't connect.

And umm yeah since they didn't really show ANYTHING much of Megha's subsequent reaction, I felt even more disappointed...cuz that is the main thing to look forward to in the fallout of this, nahin? What MEGHA says or does? Lekin sab kuch they've postponed till monday and no hint in precap also...so my excitement had deffo come down now...anticipation bhi kam ho gayi hai...like "I'll watch it whenever it comes to be" kinda thing...hmmm

OMG What an episode

Was it a filler? absolutely but I am glad they built up the tension, the danger - it mde the last scene even more dramatic for me

a few funny moments though

he came in to fix a fuse when all that was missing was a bulb😆😆 these have to be the dumbest thugs ever

loved to see the chase. it looked natural.

I have to say though that Monu was walking around like he was at a science exhibition😆😆😆 not in a mafia adda with all the drug dealers within 10 m of him😆😆😆 from any given angle

he sniffed the stuff like he was sniffing icing sugar on a cupcake😆

but his tapori electrician dialogues were so monu😃 adorable - the last circuit also got fixed before the epi ended😃 chalo our Monu is Electrician No. 1.

the last scene - liked it much. there are a lot of reasons I can give as to why he did not see this big dark thug walking at him with a pistol but that aside

oh boy we were somewhere in honolulu in our mind until we got zapped by gun powder

loved his body moments as he got shot - loses body momentum and weight on the side he got shot and then the second shot transfers weight. the pain followed by shock at what happened.

last time I saw someone getting shot this well was Irrfan Khan in Yeh Saali Zindagi😃

I am glad htey built it up well.

while I would have liked to see some post shot scenes today I think I want to enjoy it leisurely as it builds up in all its Mohan love glory next week. friends, family and all.

from precap I hear Nanhi saying that guru told her that monu's mom has taken him to the hospital. it makes sense that she would her it from guru and not her mom as her mom things she and Jiji bua are out and is probably too wrapped up in attending to Mohan at the hospital

very curious. she is first on the scene and though he is rushed to emerg because it is a gun shot wound they typically do not do surgery without consent of spouse or parents. wonder what rishta she gives to get him admitted and processed? obviously mommy dearest will need to come and relieve her permanently from her duties.

Megha's first husband died. Mohan is head over heels in love and totally ready to commit - he gets fatally shot! Megha's love definitely isn't looking lucky from any typical POV - and I'm not talking about Indu or anyone else - I'm talking about MEGHA herself coming to counter conclusions - realizing her feelings perhaps, but weighing her guilt in bringing Mohan to such harm higher? Technically, Mohan may have survived the shots but for Megha's distraction. Megha COULD imagine herself as that kind of wrong distraction in Mohan's life, and yet take the story another way, despite ALL the other things falling in place for MM, including Megha realizing her feelings...

Hmmm that's my worry too based on how the whole shooting went down today...Mohan DID get distracted cuz of MEGHA only and that is why he ended up getting shot...so I'm wary that Megha is going to start thinking of herself as some kind of CURSE on the lives of the men she loves and who love her...ummm but that's just so DEPRESSING


As for the interview...lol on a second read yeah Kunal actually himself says that shaadi is a ways away...so who knows kya hoga...I'm just saying ki somehow given that Jeeji-Papaji were again discussing the marriage issue today and then they will suddenly get this news about Mohan and all focus shifting to Mohan...it could be that they pick Mohan as the prospective groom too...pata nahin...

I keep asking myself...the writers want to draw this story out somehow, right? So WHAT way will they take in that regard is what keeps me guessing...so speculations toh endless hain but as of now Friday was just...I wanted to FEEL more for this moment but I didn't...maybe I will on Monday...but pata nahin.


And yes, I SO badly want a vid of that interview for the way Kunal's talking about Ashnoor...dude it's SO unfair that we don't have a vid interview of these two together yet

I guess you're living upto your ID, and I to mine 😆 But honestly, for all the intention that was underneath the scenes, that I did very much comprehend technically, I felt so little of the episode. It just came and went for me - in the passing, no trace of lingering!

I will say this though. Mohan's transition from alert high to this sublime transcending was well done by Kunal. Again, I lost my connect, because the scene itself dragged too long for me. For all odd reasons (including that this was Friday and we have TWO days of nothing next!!!) I couldn't stop staring at the progress bar of the video and dread it was going to freeze at that - and it did. Sigh. I guess the fact that we knew there were going to be gun shots, didn't really allow an excitement to build in me for the event itself, and that there was technically nothing else to the episode content wise, sealed the episode as effectively null. I could just have seen the promo, the last 5 minutes at max - and moved on with the show. Did I need the remaining 15 minutes of shaandaar Friday to stay in the loop and feel the connect? Sadly not.

@bold: Word...I think it was the drag that did me in too...I kept waiting ki SOMETHING more will happen than all we anyways know but it just went on and on with Mohan smiling loopily at her, the song playing and then BAM gunshot.

Usually I feel like SAVORING an NBT epi...today, not so much😕

It's my coloring...lol...it makes red look pinkish😆...he was wearing a sort of deep red color ka caravat.

Dude, you do need to catch up...this Monday had a fab VS scene that I did upload...scene 18 I think it was...and today's I'm yet to upload but it was fab too...such PERSONALITY this guy has...and today's scene just had LOVELYYY nuances😍
