@Hope - Hola there! And really?! I guess you're living upto your ID, and I to mine 😆 But honestly, for all the intention that was underneath the scenes, that I did very much comprehend technically, I felt so little of the episode. It just came and went for me - in the passing, no trace of lingering!
I will say this though. Mohan's transition from alert high to this sublime transcending was well done by Kunal. Again, I lost my connect, because the scene itself dragged too long for me. For all odd reasons (including that this was Friday and we have TWO days of nothing next!!!) I couldn't stop staring at the progress bar of the video and dread it was going to freeze at that - and it did. Sigh. I guess the fact that we knew there were going to be gun shots, didn't really allow an excitement to build in me for the event itself, and that there was technically nothing else to the episode content wise, sealed the episode as effectively null. I could just have seen the promo, the last 5 minutes at max - and moved on with the show. Did I need the remaining 15 minutes of shaandaar Friday to stay in the loop and feel the connect? Sadly not.
so the things with action epis is that no analysis is possible as there is no dramatic emotions to analyze - it is what it is but if I were to look at the last few minutes that was very dramatic
what struck me beside the wonderful acting was the look on Megha and Mohan's face
Megha was shocked - like she was reliving her worst nightmare - Amar's death is still fresh in her mind - that one she already knew the outcome - this one was unexpected. first she reacts in sheer mind numbing shock and then she freezes. I was watching that scene. she froze. she stood there like a deer in headlights. I don't think she ever thought she would see Mohan - cocky self assured always getting out of all messes by the skin of his teeth - breached so badly so suddenly and right in front of her eyes. she looked overwhelmed and helpless to me in that instant.
Mohan's reactions were a lot more intense. the shot took him by panful surprise/ shock. bewildered he looks at her. in that moment, she is his focal point, his mainstay. he has not stumbled and fallen because he is holding her as his focal point and the shot ends there.
That was so poignant for me. a blink of any eye and he looks straight at her. not at the shooter. not at anything else not even at the ground considering that gravity would typically be playing hell with his body movement at that moment. he looks at her. the minute that connection breaks he will fall. it was for a small second but that look felt powerful to me.
don't know how they will play it next monday to finish the scene... could be the cop he had dialled shows up and kills the bad guy or could be the bad guy runs away. latter would surprise me but what would surprise me more is if some bad guy who decided to shoot Mohan in front of so many witnesses turns tail and runs without trying to take down Megha too
