@Hope - Hola there! And really?! I guess you're living upto your ID, and I to mine 😆 But honestly, for all the intention that was underneath the scenes, that I did very much comprehend technically, I felt so little of the episode. It just came and went for me - in the passing, no trace of lingering!

I will say this though. Mohan's transition from alert high to this sublime transcending was well done by Kunal. Again, I lost my connect, because the scene itself dragged too long for me. For all odd reasons (including that this was Friday and we have TWO days of nothing next!!!) I couldn't stop staring at the progress bar of the video and dread it was going to freeze at that - and it did. Sigh. I guess the fact that we knew there were going to be gun shots, didn't really allow an excitement to build in me for the event itself, and that there was technically nothing else to the episode content wise, sealed the episode as effectively null. I could just have seen the promo, the last 5 minutes at max - and moved on with the show. Did I need the remaining 15 minutes of shaandaar Friday to stay in the loop and feel the connect? Sadly not.

so the things with action epis is that no analysis is possible as there is no dramatic emotions to analyze - it is what it is but if I were to look at the last few minutes that was very dramatic

what struck me beside the wonderful acting was the look on Megha and Mohan's face

Megha was shocked - like she was reliving her worst nightmare - Amar's death is still fresh in her mind - that one she already knew the outcome - this one was unexpected. first she reacts in sheer mind numbing shock and then she freezes. I was watching that scene. she froze. she stood there like a deer in headlights. I don't think she ever thought she would see Mohan - cocky self assured always getting out of all messes by the skin of his teeth - breached so badly so suddenly and right in front of her eyes. she looked overwhelmed and helpless to me in that instant.

Mohan's reactions were a lot more intense. the shot took him by panful surprise/ shock. bewildered he looks at her. in that moment, she is his focal point, his mainstay. he has not stumbled and fallen because he is holding her as his focal point and the shot ends there.
That was so poignant for me. a blink of any eye and he looks straight at her. not at the shooter. not at anything else not even at the ground considering that gravity would typically be playing hell with his body movement at that moment. he looks at her. the minute that connection breaks he will fall. it was for a small second but that look felt powerful to me.

don't know how they will play it next monday to finish the scene... could be the cop he had dialled shows up and kills the bad guy or could be the bad guy runs away. latter would surprise me but what would surprise me more is if some bad guy who decided to shoot Mohan in front of so many witnesses turns tail and runs without trying to take down Megha too

Since I disagree with that bit in bold, I guess we share dissent over a fundamental premise 😊 As for the last 5 minutes - We're at least partially on the same page. Perhaps I was too jaded by the first 15 minutes to be in complete awe of the playout. Perhaps, they were a tad anti climatic in execution. Not the actors though, they were all the saving grace there was to the episode and the final scene esp. Anyway - yes, 5 minutes out of 20 amounting to partial something is definitely an underwhelming Friday for me. And the build up, which really agreed with you, got on the other side of me 🤓 Action sequences need an appropriate pace. Not overwhelmingly fast for the eye to even catch the motion. Not translated to x0.25 of original filming to over emphasize the subtleties. NBT was the latter for me yesterday. Too much focus and repeatedly, on the obvious. Too little of the subtlety typical of them. Not to forget - all the lame add ons.

Nah. Action, even in a drama which is not action based, deserves better writing if nothing else. And I would be okay to not connect with sharp plotting - if I could still connect with the characters. What you infer from the final 5 minutes is definitely what was intended - but not what was fully established in the execution itself - which was choppy and still-slow at once. When my fave hero gets shot fatally, and twice, I want to feel the jolt that his lady on scene does! And I didn't. I was too occupied waiting for them to move on. And the reason for that lies in the first 15 minutes which were spent going nowhere fast and furious! If I'd felt the pace there... I would have hooted for a cliffhanger like this on a Friday close!

@ Monday - so randomly during the episode, everytime they focused on that pocket camera - I assumed he was shot at the heart to destroy the device. But surprisingly, it seemed to have remained unharmed. I'm guessing since the evidence is very much intact, the report still goes in. But that would hardly form focus. Bad guys can flee or be caught - again, I doubt that shall be the focus. We're likely in for more of MM. The only reason I can imagine their ending on the note they did, leaving no further cue in the precap either, is that they were saving some vintage MM with drastic progression for the next week. Which - repeating yet again - would be fair enough. If I'd have found sitting through 20 minutes of Friday something to go on with! Khair - nothing to undo about that. So Monday it is now! I'm positive what they have up their sleeves for MM will outdo expectations. But Friday for me served an unnecessary disconnect!

ps: Nur - the videos kept giving me an error for a while, so I took a break and got back just to check again. It's working now - will drop you a note soon! *goes off excited to catch Mr. Enigma with a red cravat's confession to Missy jabbargattu runs a mile a second* ☺️ 😆

*raises hand* I would like to say that I honestly didn't FEEL Aakanksha's acting in the last 5 minutes...the POWER of the moment that it should hit her like a ton of bricks that Mohan has just been SHOT for god's sake...didn't come through to me.

Kunal was excellent in the actual shooting bit but the smiling and Rangrez before that in a rare moment DIDN'T connect for me...maybe cuz like I said I couldn't stop myself from headdesking over how DUMB it all started to look by that point as it was stretched out.

That said, I think I get Hope's point regarding the actual DIRECTION of the action sequence...it was actually good...the chase and all...they used good camera angles also to build it up and stuff...that's not really as much of a problem for me as much as the fact that the last 5 minutes should have been a HIGH for me...which it WASN'T...I HOPE the EMOTIONAL connect is better done on Monday.

@Jzee: Eee watch watch! I just watched the epi on TV again in the evening and loved the scene even more😍

Jzee, seen this?

https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/na-bole-tum-na-maine-kuch-kaha-season-2/3025297/new-edited-promo-for-13th-june

It's going EXACTLY as we all predicted😆...the signs were all there...

I always said that this gunshot is just a stop along the way to the remarriage track...just a catalyst to MAKE Megha agree for remarriage in order to push herself out of Mohan's reach.

Aur ab Mohan dulhe dhundega Megha ke liye😆

Ok i am slightly disappointed they could have handled it better and scene where mohan enters the hideout was amateurish and really if they were unable to write such kind of scene they could have just got mohan shot on the bike but anyway apart from that it was a good one as megha still maha confused while buildup to marriage continues in the house and even the final shootout scene was good as they wanted to show mohan all blinded by love and oblivious to dangers and by that way justify the song tere ishq main jaan se gaye was nicely done but still crime reporter could have been more aware but he was all blinded by love

Just did 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 I'm... erm. How do you say that? In mode ineffable?! Wow - I knew it was coming because I saw your avi and saw the title of the promo/BTS on your account - but eeeh!!! HOW DID HE DO THAT?! Dude!!! And he said he should have done it ages ago!!! 😆

I'm all Sugni even at the confession even ABI!!! ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️ I need to collect my wits and reaction to order before I say more - but didcha see?! Even THE THAKUR VIKRAM had this awww-able sa blush about him?! Haha, aww, aww, aww - never thought I'd see THIS day 😆 Sugni should be mush - not from the confession. But from the shock 😆 Naryani was HILARIOUS 😆 Oh man! That scene was something. They plugged in every cliche - starting with the fall and catch... but cliche is such a far cry from what that scene was!!! 👏 I'm LOVING the package of unfathomable surprises that Vikram is - there's no telling on this guy a second too soon, is there?!

Okay. More Vikram talk needed - will PM for that, pukka! But for now, I must get some sleep. VS just turned Friday going on Saturday so much more happening!!! ☺️☺️

Just throwing in a thought btw - and no I'm not obsessed with that one book, but it just seems to find parallels too much on TV! - but Vikram... Rhett Butler - some odd parallels? Or is it just me?

Need to sleep over this and come back... 😃

ps: @NBT's Friday - I guess we all have our own variations. Monday it is. Thinking cap off until then. Besides, there is Vikram to dwell on for now - such layers to this guy - I hope they can keep up with the complex making and never turn him one dimensional in any sense!

I think now megha would use the remarriage crutch to get out of mohans sight and so a guy would come in and thing would get to engagement and even wedding day and at the last moment something would go wrong and mohan would marry megha and i hope they show it well and now we can see megha love realisation and mohan finding grooms for her

Aah. So that's how they roll it then? Surprisingly, I feel a tad stoic in reaction - perhaps cause like you said, so much along the lines guessed? It's not going to all happen bam bam bam though, is it? Oh well.

Just for now? Friday felt like a dupe, so can I watch Monday already? I totally wanted to seesomething happen and it just didn't! Upar se weekend!

*back to Vikram mode and snoozzz*

LOLL I'll wait for that PM then! Eee I LOVEEE the bit from my avi! "Maine kuch galat bola?" Sugni nods a haan...he gives her a look...she panics and shakes her head...then thak haar ke just looks down...LOLLL...it's just ADORABLE😆

Dude what a CHARACTER Vikram is...keeps you on your toes...loll...and yeah Narayani just watching all mouth agape as he confesses IN FRONT OF HER🤣...and Vikram's expressions when he FINALLY realizes there's another person standing there🤣...and Sugni bechari doesn't know what to do with herself😆

Ok you go sleep then! *hugs*

i think it would have been better if they had shown mohan getting shot on the bike or the moholla by dinanath cronies if they wanted shootout drama as this drug drama did not do justice according to me and setup barring last 5 minutes seemed too amateurish and contrived and W*F moment for me was mohans entry into the den and his roaming around seemed too casual for a serious situation and for pro show and ok it is just a show so mistakes are allowed but hope they do it better from monday
