its just a random thought however observing the track in other serials and NBT i realized that in all other shows the female protagonist is always shown as the character who suffers, sacrifices and through her struggles manages to appear larger than life. It is true that in NBT also megha has been subjected to severe social ridicule, hardships yet what makes the show different apart from other factors is that of mohan's characterization. For example mohan loved rashmi and yet he had to sacrifice his feelings and even his belief in love for her dreams.
next we had the honest, hungry for truth journalist in mohan who was forced to publish dishonest facts and sacrifice his integrity due to dinanaths and his wicked secretaries criminal designs.
Further when Mohan finally learnt to love and found the match of his dreams in megha he again had to sacrifice his love for the peace and well being of the same person against a heartless society which also included his own mother.
watching megha reminiscing amar's presence made mohan feel even more hopeless of himself. and inspite of being such a good human being he is forced to compare himself with amar and focus more upon his imperfections rather than the wonderful qualities within him.
he knows that he will never be able to replace amar from megha's life yet he is desperate to see just a tinge of smile on her face by doing whatever he can for her happiness and well being.
After megha if there is anybody in this horrible world for whom mohan considers worth living his life is nanhi and what is most heart tormenting is that he again will have to sacrifice his quest for truth and honesty in order to save nanhi from the monstrous dinanath.
Therefore from these examples I can infer only one thing that being someone like mohan is extremely difficult. I remember lao tzu's quote here:
Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage…
