Ammaji is seething with rage. She asks whose idea it was to poison her food. When none of them seem to have a clue, she blames Jhumar. She's about to hit her when Sia sheilds Jhumar and says that she isn't at fault. Ammaji says that Sia is the smartest one out of the lot, so it was most likely her idea! She hits her once, causing a wound on her arm. Sheela pleads with Ammaji to trust her on the fact that none of them had anything to do with this. Ammaji retorts that Sheela hasn't exactly given her a whole lot of reasons to trust her, has she? She's about to hit her when Raghav grabs her hand and stops her. He says, how could you abuse the women of our house? None of them have the courage to do something like this. Whatever happened wasn't their fault. Ammaji throws the whip down and leaves the kitchen furiously. Raghav notices the wound on Sia's arm and looks concerned.
Sia is sitting in her room with a tube of ointment. Raghav comes in, looks silently at her and sits beside her. He takes the ointment from her hand and he proceeds to tend to her wound, but she jerks her arm away and tells him to forget it. He says that he can understand why she's angry. Her anger is justified. He starts applying the ointment and then asks her to forgive him. She says, forgive you for what? He replies that whatever has been happening at their haveli isn't right. People are being treated like animals. Ammaji's anger after the posioning incident can be understood, but the way she treated the women today was uncalled for. Sia says that she's pleasantly surprised to know that he's still got a conscience and can see how regressive and unjust Ammaji's deeds are. He stands up and replies that he came to her because he felt that whatever happened today wasn't right. That doesn't mean though, that he doesn't care for his mother anymore. She is still at par with God for him. Then he leaves, after asking her to take good care of herself.
Dharamveer goes to his room and realizes that the bottle of posion is missing from his drawer. He panics and starts looking all over his room, only to find a grinning Gajender holding it. Gajender compliments Dharamveer on his plan. Initially, Dharamveer denies having anything to do with Ammaji's attempted murder but Gajender tells him to quit playing innocent because he already knows everything. He saw it with his own eyes. Wouldn't it be better if they teamed up? They have the same goal after all! Dharamveer is completely shocked to hear Gajender plotting against his own mother. To that, Gajender says that when a mother never gives a damn about her son, why should the son be expected to do the same? The fire of bitterness that's burning inside Dharamveer has also been burning inside Gajender. Why don't they join hands to attain their mutual goal? Dharamveer is surprised and pleased to hear his words. He says that Gajender truly is his older brother's son. He undoubtedly has the Sanghwan blood running in his veins! The two of them share a hug.
Jhumar is crying in her room. Sheela assures her not to worry; what happened wasn't her fault. Then she wonders who could possible have done this? The poison was obviously meant only for Ammaji because if the entire meal was posioned, they would all have been affected. So Ammaji was the only target here. She asks Jhumar if anyone had been in the kitchen that day besides the usual women. Jhumar says that Dharamveer had showed up to have a glass of water. She calls him bapu while saying that, at which Sheela is surprised. She sternly asks her why she suddenly called him that. Jhumar explains that he is a changed man now and wants to accept her as his daughter. As the realization dawns upon Sheela, she gets hyterical and asks Jhumar if Dharamveer was the one who had initially asked her to make the halwa for Ammaji. When Jhumar doesn't reply, Sheela yells that she doesn't know what a two-faced snake Dharamveer is. He'd use anyone to get his way, including her. And today, her brother Avtaar is fighting for his life because of him. Jhumar timidly admits that Dharamveer did ask her to make the halwa.
Sheela barges into Dharamveer's room and before he can say anything, she raises her hand and tells him to shut up. She continues that God comitted a grave mistake by making a man like him a father. What kind of a father is he? Fathers dream of getting their daughters married. What has he done instead? He practically arranged for his daughter's funeral! His son is fighting for his life at the hospital. Why? Because Dharamveer was too driven by his plan to stop his son from eating the poisoned food. Sheela has been tolerating his attitude for ages, but she won't anymore. She's not naive like Jhumar to buy into his act. She can't let him use her children in his quest to kill Ammaji. Dharamveer smirks and dares her to go and tell people that he wants to kill Ammaji. Nobody would believe her anyway. She replies that if something was to happen to her children because of him, she will forget that he's her husband. The only thing she'll remember are those nine months that she carried them for, inside her womb. She'll fulfil only a mother's duty. And that's a promise! The episode ends.
