Hmm good interview from Sonu. But I remember him saying in his thanking speech in 2002 Film fare awards, "There were no singers as me earlier, there are no singers as me now". I am surprised to see the same man giving this interview.

^^ I am not sure if its true.....even if it is....2002 is 8 years back...people do change with experiences one faces. Whatever Sonu has said or done, he has never let his quality go below par and also has always been very humble to senior and classical musicians and quality as such....

Well I don't remember Sonu saying anything like this. In 2002 he won the filmfare for 'Saathiya' but he didn't come to receive the award. His wife came to accept the award.

What Sonu was trying to say was that Shankar Mahadevan is the best composer-cum-singer.

That is, out of all the composers, Shankar is the best singer. But the interviewer took it to mean that Shankar is the best composer.

If Sonu wanted to say that Shankar is the best composer, he would have also named Ehsaan and Loy, too.

He's soo humble. I rmr a few yrs back when he was trying to be an actor.. he became arrogant.. am glad Sonu is Sonu again.

Shankar sing in one breath but I still prefer Sonu's voice any day. Even if Sonu doesn't consider himself a singer.. I believe he is amazing!!

Wish Sonu was a team captain.
