Well lets take a break from all those debates and share some information about our favourite singers or music directors. I am starting a new thread where you can ask trivia from other members. Members can then scratch their brains and try to look up that song. Or else you can post interesting facts about the stars which you think many people might not know.
Sounds interesting!!

Ok friends...so till now four Trivia have been answered. The next trivia has been posted by xobile. I am posting it here so that people don't have to browse through each page.

Anu Malik got nominated for Fiza, and one (of the best) track in the movie was composed by A R Rahman.

^^ all great answers guys! Special mention to stunnistar - therajesh roshan fact was very interesting.

And yes it is true that A R Rahman was a guest composer in Fiza byt did not get nominated - however this had happened before as brahmabul pointed out in Pyar To Hona Hi Tha.

It is a very open question, so all your answers are good!

The answer I was looking for was:

Anu Malik composed what is often called the best soundtrack of his life in 2000. That album was Refugee. He even got the National Award for it. But filmfare didn't even nominate Anu Malik for that soundtrack, instead nominating him for Josh and Fiza. In the end Rajesh Roshan won the FIlmfare.

Peculiarly, something happened to the Filmfare jury at the last moment and they realised that Anu Malik's Refugee soundtrack was amazing too. So they gave him a 'special award for his music in Refugee'.

So in 2001, there were effectively TWO best music director awards given by Filmfare!

Ok a simple one now - musical families!

Just say the names of musical families of Bollywood!

I'll start with the brothers Sajid and Wajid whose latest soundtrack Veer was quite a hit!

^^ well the jatin lalit family tree can be extended

They are nephews of Pandit Jasraj
their sister vijeyata pandit was a singer
their brother in law is composer aadesh shrivastava
shweta pandit is also part of this family but I'm not sure exactly how. Wud be grateful if anyone cud enlighten me. X

can anyone name this musical family of bollywood:

they are three brothers
they hardly ever worked together
they all achieved success in Bollywood (varying degrees of success, tho)
they are not all composers
they are not all singers
