Anu Malik praises Sonu Nigam a lot for this song because this song was recorded in mere 14 minutes, in spite of the fact that Sonu Nigam was not 100% with his throat that day. Can anyone guess the song?

I think only Jatin Lalit getting nominated for Pyar To Hona Hi Tha. Although Himesh and Sajid Wajid had also scored music for the film. Himesh had composed Tum Par Hum Hain Atke Yaara and Sajid Wajid had composed Teri jawaani badi badi mst mast hain...right??

^^ thanks brahmabul dint know about that. Anyway, my question was about the filmfare awards of 2000 for films released in 1999. Pyar to Hona hi tha was released in 1998 and the filmfare for that was in 1999. I'm talking about the year after that.

Oops. Well I have to scratch my brains on this one.
In that case I can think of two answers.
First: Ismail Darbar winning the Filmfare for his very first film.
Second: Anu Malik for the first time in his career getting nominated for two movies.

^^ Ismail darbar dint win the best music director award - he was nominated for it, but he dint win it. He did win the rd Birman award for best new musical talent tho. But u are right about the anu malik thing.

Yaar an mujhe maarna mat but I gave the wrong years sorry. Main aapko correct kar raha tha aur khud bhool Gaya. I meant 2001 awards for year 2000 releases. Sorry again hehe

Arre bhai you were right before. Haseena Maan Jayegi and Biwi No 1 for which Anu Malik got nominated were both released in 1999 and nominated in 2000. And yes AR Rahman won the award for Taal.
