Amaya Date

Amaya Date was amongst the top four contestants in one of the reality show of a Hindi entertainment channel. Music is in his family his grandfather was part of R.D. Burman's orchestra. Both his sister and mother are trained classical singers.

Amaya himself was trained under the tutelage of renowned playback singer Suresh Wadkar for the past 15 years. For the past seven years, he has performed on stage with many notable singers. Currently, Amaya teaches music to students at Ajivasan Gurukul at Santacruz. He has also participated in the reputed musical show Sa Re Ga Ma in 1999, when Shreya Ghoshal was the winner among the females.

He has done playback singing for the forthcoming films Colour Red, Muthbedh and Divorce. Amaya hopes to release his solo album soon.

What according to you is your team's strength/weakness in the competition? Strength is the unity and weakness is the attitude which is lacking.

I have been a fan of Amey right from the days when he came in SaReGaMa. He deserved to win the Indian Idol without any doubt. Has anyone heard of the guy who eventually won the season 2?? I still remember his marvelous performance in Indian Idol when he sang 'Laaga Chunri Ke Daag'. I doubt how many singers in MMKM will be able to sing that. Or the piano round where he sang 'Tu Hi Re'. Anu Malik gave him a standing ovation.

One big reason why he lags behind is due to his reserved nature. But this is the reason I love him. There is no one to lobby Amey, and Mohit Chauhan doesn't look like that sort of captain who can persuade people to vote for Amey.

Same here, he is very humble and deserves to win in every contest. Plus, Mohit is just the same, the whole team doesn't try to make people like them with dramabaazi, like some of the other teams show. I like that about their team and Ameya even with low marks always has a smile on his face and dedication to do better.

I'm a huge fan of his, I was wondering if anyone else here finds him attractive? He is changed so much, he has lost weight, has a good haircut and dresses very nicely. I think he is so hot, plus has such an awesome voice. His performances today were really good and touching. Please comment (no bashing or bad mouthing please😊).

Hey do you have any idea what is happening tomorrow? I saw the snippets of tomorrow's episode at the end of today's show. There was a huge spat between Amey and Sharib. Amey even challenged Mika to sing. Gajendra Singh was also seen talking to Amey in the backstage. Can't wait to see what happened? I think Amey was pissed off for getting low marks.

Its probably all scripted because they are trying to get Abhijeet on the team. Or it may be true and I support Ameya all the way he is right on his part even if he is in perfect sur and everything he never gets a 10. I will be so sad if he leaves, I hope they can convince him to stay, but it looks very scripted

robin, Abhijeet looks like the girls replacement...I think they will convince Ameya to stay...

guys please some one find out wht happend with Amey i want him in the show.....please if someone is in touch with hi please tell him.... dnt be disappointed your fans are always there for you..please sing for us... we love you sooo much and for us ur the best...best best best
