If I recall correct, the reason for fallout between Lata and Nayyar was because of another singer. I think Lata and that singer rehearsed for the song and then at final recording Nayyar fired that singer, Lata questioned Nayyar's decision which led to the differences and subsequent fall out. but Nayyar always maintained that Lata was the fines singer he had come across.

Even though, Naya Daur is quite famous, i think Aar-Paar is one of his best works.

Hmm, I don't think I've ever come across this version of events. Had no clue Lata ever recorded with OPN.

I agree about Aar Paar. OPN has done so many stellar soundtracks - C.I.D., Kashmir ki Kali, Mr & Mrs 55, Naya Daur, Phagun, Ek Musafir el Hasina, Phir wohi dil laya hoon, Tumsa nahi dekha, Mere Sanam...but if I was asked to pick one it would probably be Aar Paar.

I read it quite a few years ago, I might be wrong but the fall out between Lata and the composer happened because of the composer's decision to fire the other singer at last moment. I am not sure about other singer and composer but Lata sure had one such skirmish and I am guessing it was O.P .Nayyar and the singer might be Mukesh.

Wikipedia lists Lata as one of the singers of Mohabbat Karlo Ji Bharlo but I don't know if that is correct or not

Pretty sure that's inaccurate. Mohabbat Kar lo has two versions - the screen version has Suman Kalyanpur and Geeta Dutt singing the female voices while the audio (released) version only has Geeta Dutt and the antaras are re-arranged to omit Suman's parts. I don't know why they did that.

The story most often circulated of the fallout is the "Aasmaan" one - Lata was scheduled to record, she didn't turn up for whatever reason and OPN was livid. He held on to that grudge and never worked with her and Lata also similarly swore she wouldn't work with him.

Babi made her acting debut with the film Charitra (1973) Received recognition for Majboor. She acted in many movies

Parveen Baabi's life in the end was a tragedy. If I am not mistaken arth is based on her relationship with Mahesh Bhatt.

Iit might be some other composer but I don't remember reading about the version where Lata did not turn up. But then these are all speculations.
