Music director, singer and now actor Himesh Reshammiya makes big news as he is back with his biggest musical bang of the year in his first solo performance in 'Aap Ka Surror - the movie' (Movie with double "e"). It is considered to be the biggest musical presentation of the year as it comes out with 20 original soundtracks. It's a Vijay Taneja presentation and also marks the directorial debut of Prashant Chaddha and comes out with tagline "When there is faith, there is no fear". The surprise attraction of the album is tribute song "Mehbooba" (Ramesh Sippy's 'Sholay') to legendary R.D. Burman as Asha Bhonsale joins Reshammiya in this improvised re-mastered track. 'Aap Ka Surror - the movie' is considered to be biggest musical presentation from T-Series and is one of their most highly rated albums of this year.

Assasalam Vaalekum (3 VERSIONS) : The album triggers off with a sure short chartbusting feast "Assasalam Vaalekulum" (meaning salutations in Urdu) and grips the musical passion where one could anticipate the climax or grand finale to all the hot "n" happening events of the film. Undoubtedly, this will be Himesh Reshammiya's biggest rocking hit of the year as it succeeds in producing and delivering different beats and tunes. The rip-roaring hip-hop and intimidating violin work melted in a spirited Sufi rock base sets a powerful prelude to the soundtrack. Himesh Reshammiya delivers a rollicking super hit number when he needed it the most as he was panned for being overtly repetitive. Reshammiya's oozing nasal twang forms a brilliant concoction with haunting drumming and penetrative and expressive lyrics. This expression of salutation to the lady love should promise to be a big thrust in giving the album a deserving promotion and if it meets the technical standards of this glossy film, then it can be a big rage among pop genre listeners. Mind Blowing!!!

Akbar Sami makes it a crazy and rocking floor festival as he mixes this rocking number with accelerated beats and animated disco beat fillers in entertaining and pulsating "Assasalam Vaalekum (remix)". If you have thoroughly enjoyed the original soundtrack then this "club" mix offering will enlighten your senses.

"Assasalam Vaalekum (dark mix)" brings a scary feel of lost love and intimidates with its haunting and ear-splitting musical effect that describes the aggravated and dark feeling of a desolate and obsessed lover. This remix caters to the situational feel of the film but still its orchestration and drumming are apt to enthrall listeners.

Tera Mera Milna (3 VERSIONS) : The soft and tender romantic feel of Reshammiya's melody "Ahista Ahista" ('Ahista Ahista') makes a promising inspiration for the hopeful sugar n syrupy mush love track "Tera Mera Milna". Himesh Reshammiya sings in low pitch and his vocal sounds soothing to ears and they have fine blend with Sameer's contemporary lyrics. This time the soft and silken support of Shreya Ghoshal getting into the middle makes a great singing pair. A good situational romantic soundtrack that might bring some relief to passionate Reshammiya's fans who felt bored with his continuous high pitch singing.

"Tera Mera Milna (remix)" sounds forced one as this soft and sentimental track deserves to be a remix in "lounge" effect to give it a nostalgic impact. Akbar Sami promises to deliver another hip-shaking feast but this sounds more like an unwelcome guest.

"Tera Mera Milna (House Mix)" charters the same path of rip-roaring pace of "club" mix loud and thumping impact with no great feel. The extra loud drumming, "tabla loop" and loud "alaap" (by Jayesh Gandhi) gives it a better feel than the previous remix track.

Jhooth Nahin Bolna (2 VERSIONS) : A contemporary Bollywood feel good romantic track "Jhooth Nahin Bolna" comes with a nostalgic 70's and early 90's musical feel embellished in a typical Sufi "Qawaali" format. It reminds of one of the finest works of great Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and even Sameer's lyrics make effective display with momentous verses. The song is all about a promise of life time bonding and to be truthful to your beloved and comes straight with a typical Bollywood musical feel with no big histrionics. Reshammiya has managed another bright and happening number when the listeners were expecting something significant or ground breaking. The titillating "shehnai" notes along with synchronized keyboard work give it a situational feel of marital bond culminating out of eternal love. Sameer's poetic flamboyance sparks effectively and can be counted as one of his finest works in contemporary Bollywood lyrical format.

"Jhooth Nahin Bolna (remix)" is a decent hear as the traditional remix ethics are maintained to give this romantic a rip-roaring and enthralling effect. Akbar Sami's techno-wizardry improvises it to lure Gen X listeners with ample doses of action-packed drumming impact that gel well with effective "shehnai" and "sarangi" notes.

Tanhaiyaan (3 Versions) : Himesh Reshammiya showed immense interest in promoting "Tanhaiyaan" when the album and the film was under production but it raged a controversy that made news. "Tanhaiyaan" promises another chartbuster in the making as it comes out with different beat patterns with effective echoing impact that leaves a haunting feel of lost love. The song progresses with the impressive duet where Sunidhi Chuahan imparts her expertise with sensual peaked vocal rendition. It will be adding itself to the list of Reshammiya's finest melody of this year with a signature tune of the film that will work wonders for its bright prospects at the chartbusters. Impressive!!!

Himesh Reshammiya along with Sunidhi Chauhan goes unplugged (vocal rendition with minimum orchestration) in this symbolically romantic but brief soundtrack "Tanhaiyaan (unplugged)". This can be termed as symbolic musical work that should work as impressive background score for the film.

"Tanhaiyaan (remix)" surprises with its impressive and recurring echoing and drumming impact that collages brilliantly with animated vocals in giving it a thrusting "club" mix feel. Akbar Sami maintains his streak of impressive remix work and this one really impresses as the remixing works brighter in sentimental number. Good Show!!!

Ya Ali (3 VERSIONS) : Himesh Reshammiya sticks to his ground rules of success as he incorporates the strong blend of Sufi elements in lyrics and music arrangements in the effective soundtrack "Ya Ali". Unfortunately, it comes with a set of repetitive tones and notes as similar tracks were heard before in albums like 'Red', 'Dil Diya Hai' etc. Sunidhi Chauhan's soft and shimmering vocals build the tempo of a promising emotional track but thereafter it's Reshammiya's repetitive loud vocal performance with recurring rendition of "Ya Ali". It fails to create any major impact and the singer-cum-composer demands different tonality for sad and depressed emotional tracks to revamp his magic.

"Ya Ali (remix)" proves to be a breather as the loud and ear-deafening vocals mellow effectively with high voltage disco beats in providing a great "club" mix appeal. Reshammiya's loud nasal twang is improvised with sauntering paced techno beats that are coagulated with optimum racy westernized musical arrangements.

"Ya Ali (Electro Mix)" has added electronically generated beat impact that forms a fine concoction with rhythmic drumming and impressive disco beat effect. Both these remixes numbers are impressive in their frolicsome impact and it shows the prowess of Akbar Sami of being the best in the business.

Tere Bina (2 VERSIONS) : The slow and mesmerizing soulful impact of nostalgia of "Aap Ka Surror" (pop album - "Aap Ka Surror") makes promising moves as prelude as the feel is carried forward brilliantly in the soft and sentimental soundtrack "Tere Bina". The slow moving synchronized violin notes with impressive "tabla" and "sarangi" notes gives it an everlasting impact that shapes this soundtrack impressively into impressive sentimental soundtrack. Sameer has delivered his best as his soul-stirring lyrics camouflage effectively in depicting sad and depressed moments of a pain-struck lover. The incorporation of "lounge" music adds more fuel to make it as one of the everlasting melodies of this year. Worth-a-hear!

The loud and jarring impact of "club" mix in "Tere Bina (remix)" hardly gives any sense of ecstasy as the beats and rhythms are not entertaining to lift spirits.

Kya Jeena (2 VERSIONS) : The subtle and sentimental mood is maintained in low tempo and modest singing as Himesh Reshammiya delivers an above average emotional soundtrack "Kya Jeena". This number has strong feel of Indian classical music that was felt in the musical scores of 'Banaras' and 'Tere Naam'. There is a fine usage of "Sitar", "tabla" and "sarangi" and together they form effective "jugalbandi" in giving substance to this track. It has class appeal and will have restricted takers. "Kya Jeena (remix)" sounds unnecessary as disco beat thump along with beat juggling impact hardly lifts spirits of classically conceived numbers. Like "Tere Bina (remix)", it merely adds as a filler to the album rather than providing any entertainment to listeners.

Mehbooba (2 Versions) : Himesh Reshammiya's tribute to late R.D Burman alias "Panchamda" comes in the form of rehashed and remixed version of his ever popular soundtrack "Mehbooba" (Ramesh Sippy's 'Sholay'). It sounds more like an obligatory and apologetic work from him to Asha Bhonsale as she joins him in tandem for this popular number. It may be a listener's delight rather than anything special for the film but still it have moments of cheers and thrill. The second version of this number has added echoing and DJ effect that makes it special for dance floors.

Himesh Reshammiya returns with a bang as he fulfills promise in his ambitious venture 'Aap Ka Surror - the movie'. The album's biggest plus points are "Assasalam Valekuum", "Tanhaiyaan", "Tere Bina" and "Tere Mera Milna". There are above average numbers like "Ya Ali", "Kya Jeena" but there is sense of thrill and delight in the Akbar Sami DJ work in bunch of remixes soundtrack. It will be one of the top ten music albums of the year and will be the biggest treat for Reshammiya's fans.

Good Show!
