Name this tune (90’s Bollywood song)

Hello friends! In 1996 an Afghan singer named Nasrat Parsa, who absolutely loved Indian music, covered a particularly fantastic Hindi song. The poor guy was killed shortly after, and so much of his music and the details behind it has gone, and thus I am hoping someone can help me identify this one song.

Since he used Farsi lyrics, I cannot find any mention of the original name or even movie associated with this song. The tune should instantly ring a bell. Thank you to whomever can help! I’ve spent hours trying to sift through early 90’s Bollywood tunes and have had no luck.
