I recently visited Gavie's site and have come to know some interesting facts about him . so I am just pasting the entire page here for my freinds who are unaware of these facts...............Gavie is 6.3' tall Scorpio hunk who was born on 11-11-1978 in the Mansa town of Punjab. He spent his early years in hometown Mansa and later shifted his base to the royal city of Patiala for pursuing further studies. He then went forward to become a mechanical engineer. But this boy was reserved for better things in life rather than just being a mechanical engineer. His dashing looks & impeccable charisma attracted various offers from the world of modelling and Punjabi music industry which offered him a chance to work in music videos of leading singers from the Punjabi industry. He also participated in many pageants and won the title of Mr Punjab in the year 2000.There was no looking back after that, he was flooded with offers from the music industry. His first music video was jattan de putt saadh ho gaye which was a roaring success, after which he appeared in many music videos. He has been featured in more than 60 music videos. Then he shifted base to Mumbai in 2005 when he grabbed a role in the successful soap Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi which was produced by Balaji Telefilms.But he couldn't carry on with the serial because he grabbed a good offer in the Punjabi film Yaaran Naal Baharan which was produced under the coveted Yash Raj banner.
Gavie Chahal has also done a lot of advertisements and ad campaigns with prestigious companies and brands like Maruti Udyog, Gili Diamonds, SBI Bank, Tata, BSNL, tata,siemens,Microsoft, Radio Mirchi, Suncity Constructions, Neel Kamal and IDBI Bank besides others.
Being an adventurer and a wordsworthian, Gavie also participated in the adventure show on AXN channel-FEAR FACTOR in which he won the fear factor championship and also a plump prize of Rs 10 lakh.
Besides modelling and acting, Gavie is also a sports enthusiast and is involved in sports. He has been a national level player of Kabbadi and a state level player of basketball. He is a big cricket buff and never fails to cheer up the Indian cricket team.
In his free time Gavie can be spotted in his gymnasium in which he spends two hours daily and that is the reason for his well toned & chiselled body.
On a personal front Gavie is a god fearing person who recites his daily prayers and does his bit of social service for the society. Being a Punjabi, Gavie is also a foodie and loves to bite into some sizzling chicken off the barbeque & relishes his mother's hand made kheer. Whenever free Gavie sets on long drives to explore the nature's bounty and satisfy the adventurous zeal within him.
Presently Gavie has his hands full of Hindi and Punjabi film projects …..
