It is very clear from the begining that Raj fell in love with Kranti.Whatever Kranti had suffered,is because of Raj,that is also a fact,but Raj's main target was his father's Rai Bahaduri.Now if we analys Raj's character,we can see that he used to have a monotonous character,he always wanted to prove himself as the competent son of his father.His focus was on that point.Besides that,Raj is an introvert type of person..very much capable in confiding his own feelings.And there he went wrong as per as Kranti was related.Raj got back his sense when he saw Kranti in Tribhubhan's house..and after that the injury marks on Kranti's back.But it was too late.
It is not at all compulsory that two persons from an identical background and thoughts will fall in love with each other..rather it has been seen that most of the couples obeys one rule, OPPOSITES ATTRACT.Here the same rule worked,Raj and Kranti has a great difference in their ideologies,life style and background.Yet Raj got attracted to her.
In this case,it can be assumed that Raj's dream woman was quite similar with Kranti. Raj , the England returned Barister,may be he would marry a girl of his father's choice,but he would have always a secret dream about his ideal woman as Raj became very much influenced by the modern theory of a relationship.He never wanted his wife to be a Barbie Doll or a Ornament Shop..rather she would have to be a subtle girl,a woman with substance who could be a good Daughter-In-Law but at the same time could be a woman with whom Raj could share his life in a true sense.His views ,his perception would have to be understood by his wife.In true sense she would have to be a life partner.It might happened that Rajveer had a protrait of his life partner in his mind in this way.
And he saw Kranti,who was from a Freedom Fighter Background.But if Raj would keep aside this aspect of Kranti,it was very much clear that Kranti..she was the one for whom Raj was looking for.Clear,confident,person with own view ,not a puppet of the so-called mindsets fixed by the society,who can move with the time,who can step forward to change the mindsets.
At that time when women were supposed to be a puppet of the Male gaurdians of the family and used to obey the orders like a machine,Kranti was surely an exception. Unconventional,fearless and attractive.
When Raj was making his dream woman's picture,he met Kranti.All the pictures he made in his mind ,might be were not similar fully,but when Kranti came in front of Raj..all the pictures went aside..and only one picture remained same..the picture of Kranti..
So,Raj fell in love..
