CHAPTER - 1

[ PRESENT ]

[ NEW YORK ]

A very big shopping mall in New York was attacked by a group of terrorists and they captured it from every corner and even killed a few civillians.The police arrived within 10 minutes of the incident and covered the mall from all sides.Two leading officers Francis and Franklin headed in front and took shelter in the back of a car.One of them,took out a speaker and announced,"Whoever you guys are theres no way to escape.We have surrounded you from all sides.Just let go of the civilians and we promise you there will be negotiations."The officer repeated the Sameer message again and in reply after 5 minutes,a civilian,screaming hard,fall down of the top floor balcony.The ambulance is immediately called for emergency and just then,a voice is heard from inside the mall through another speaker.The voice said,"Got your answer you a**h***!!Just get f***in' outta here and arrange for our safe exit or else,after every 15 minutes,you'll receive a token of reward for putting the lives of the f***in' civilians in danger."The police were standing like mere statue without getting any way out to drop inside the mall.Francis said to the other,"Theres nothing we can do now.Its only he' who can do it.Only he' can take over those damn bulls*** now!!"Franklin eyes widened while he looked at him and exclaimed,"'He'???You mean Hawk'???Are you..."He gave a disgusted look to the other and continued,"Are you nuts???He will just put more lives in danger!!You know his ways.Instead of making everything alright,he will create a big mess and then we have to hear.There are civilians outta there.No I can't give permission."Francis said,"Look we don't have any option left right now!!We can't let those criminals go.Its only him who can get in and bring all the criminals down ensuring the safety of all the stucked civilians.Iam not seeking permission from you.I'm goin' to call him right now!!"He called an officer and ordered,"Call Hawk now!!"The officer looked towards the building and informed,"Theres no need to call him sir!!!He's already outta there.Look!!"All the police force turned towards the building and found that one tall man with a complete black outfit and a black overcoat ith black goggles had already started climbing the water pipes.Francis gave a huge smile and said,"Go buddy and beat down evil!!"Franklin just gave that man a stern look.

The man named Hawk' with utmost care and difficulty reached upto the roof of the mall.After that,he lit his cigarette and watched the time in his wrist watch and then fixed the alarm beep on exact 20 minutes.After that he took out his gun and loaded it and walked towards the stairs.He came down to the immediate next floor and searched for any terrorist or civilians.A girl saw him and was about to scream when he asked her to remain quiet and looked for the terrorist and he found him standing in front of the balcony and looking over everywhere.Like a tiger he walked towards him without any sound and then suddenly shocking him and covering his mouth from the back,Hawk backstabbed him and whispered,"When you look around do take care of your back!!"He then broke his neck and threw him on the floor.He washed the blood on the knife and requested all the people on that floor to move out only when he asked.He made their rescue arrangement by tying a rope from the backside of the building and with the help of police they were rescued.In the following manner,he silently killed a few terrorists with his silencer gun and knife and recued the people in installments.At last when it was the turn of the leader of the terrorists,Hawk accidently get caught and the leader made a woman,the hostage.Hawk nodded his head in disappointment and said to the leader,"If you kill her,you're dead.If you leave her,still you are dead.In both the cases you're at loss but if you surrender,uh...I can think.Choice is yours!!Make it quick!!I have only 2 minutes to go!!"The leader looked here and there and in a shaky and terrified voice asked,"How did you get in there?"Hawk,in a cold voice replied,"Its a trade secret buddy.Sorry can't share!!"The leader again asked,"Did you kill all my men?"Hawk folded his lips and said,"Unfortunately!!"The leader yelled,"You alone killed all my men!!Who the hell are you?"He replied,"The cure for disease like you.Its 1 minute left!!"The leader without having any other option left left the hostage and surrendered.Hawk shot him on the knee and the leader screamed,"You told you'll think you son of a b****!!"Hawk replied,"Yeah I thought to shoot on the leg!!"He grabbed the leader's collar and pulled him out of the mall and then after coming out his watch made the alarm signalling the completion of his allotted 20 minutes.He looked at his watch and in an appreciating tone,said,"Perfect timing!!"The police entered inside and securely rescued all the hostages and Hawk handed the leader over to the police.Francis patted him on his back and said,"Buddy you rocked again!!"While Hawk was walking towards his car,the press surrounded him and started questioning him about his entering the mall,risking all the civilian lives and all those nonsense questions which were irritating him a lot.Bored up with their questions,Hawk pointed a gun on one of the reporters and gave him another gun and asked,"If you had a gun and I was supposed to shoot you,what would you have done?"The reporter replied,"I would have shot you!!"Hawk raised one of his brows and said,"Bingo!!I too did the same thing!!And next time,instead of asking these bulls**t questions,you better go and face up the criminals."One of the reporters said,"Thats not our job,its yours!!"Hawk said,"Then let us do ours!!Next time..."He walked near the reporter and said,"About the human rights of those criminals,tell these nonsense to the families of those who were killed by them."He gave a cold look to the reporter and then left from there.

Hawk's real name was Sameer,Lt.Sameer Diwan,the most toughest cop and the eligible bachelor of the department.Many officers including Franklin used to hate him because the lady officers used to fancy him a lot but he always remained cold to all these advancement.The ACP of the department,Ashutosh Banerjee,lovingly known as AB recruited him in NY police department 6 years ago.In India,once he saved AB's life from some gangsters and from that day,AB became very fond of him and treated him like his own son.Sameer had a very troubled criminal past from which he was running away,with no one behind to cry over for him.AB knew about it and when he gave Sameer to proposal of leaving with him to NY,Sameer immediately listed the opportunity and fled away from India.Due to that past,he rarely smiled and became very silent and used to talk quite less than normal.With him,Natasha,another cop was appointed.After solving many cases together,Natasha became Sameer's only friend with whom,he can share everything except his past,which he didn't want to remember.Slowly as time passed,Natasha fall for him,but never said that to Sameer as she didn't want to loose her friend.He hates criminals to his heart's core and whenever he confronted them,they used to trigger his past due to which he used to kill them brutally but with a cold blood.He behaved like a typical psychopath while killing people who used to torture women and kids.He used to live alone in an apartment provided by AB.Due to Sameer's specializations in such cases,which are very highly dangered and next to impossible,AB never wasted his favourate officer's energy by giving him petty cases.

After reaching the police station,Sameer found out that Francis and Franklin had already reached there and as usual,after every assignment,Franklin complained to AB about his actions.AB used to love Sameer very much and always used to support him secretly for two special reasons,first of all he was an Indian too and his reckless attitude towards those who didn't like him.AB had a habit to use bengali,sometimes as codeword and Hawk too learned bengali especially for him.When he put off his overcoat and hung it on his chair,Natasha,came to him and said,"So another successful mission!!!Congrats!!"Sameer gave a stern smile and said,"Ya a sort of!!Saala aa gaya na complain karne ke liye.Pata nehi iski problem kya hai jab dekho mere peeche haath dho kar par jaata hai.Main koi iski girlfriend hu kya?"Natasha replied,"Vo sab to pata nehi par AB tumhe bula rahe hai."Sameer nodded his head and walked towards AB's cabin and seek permission to get inside.On seeing him,AB welcomed him and said,"Esho esho roj tomar eto proshongsha to r just shojjho kora jachche na (Aao aao,har roz tumhaari itni taarif to aur bardaasht nehi ho rahi hai)."Sameer replied,"Ki korbo eto bhalobashe je (Kya karu itna pyar jo karte hai)."AB laughed aloud loud and said,"I must say Sam tumhaari bengali pehle se bohot sudhar gayi hai."Sameer replied,"Sir main pehle hi aapko bol du,ye log bahaar se andar ja nehi pa rahe the,par un hostages ko bachaana bhi zaruri tha,to main kya karta?Mere paas aur koi option hi nehi tha sivaay surprise attack ke."Natasha translated what Sameer said to AB.Franklin angrily said,"Its just all a lie,he deliberately put their life at stake."Sameer raised up from his seat and replied,"Ok fine!!From now let Franklin alone handle such situations and I think he could handle them,in a much better way.Am I right?"Francis was scared on Sameer's statement and he said,"I support Hawk,it was the best thing he could do at that moment,without any casualties.So,I support him."Franklin got disappointed and left from there.AB asked everyone to leave and asked Sameer,"Sam tum hamesha criminals ko aise brutally kyu treat karte ho?"Sameer replied,"Aapne kaha tabhi to ek ko zinda pakra na varna main to usey bhi maarne waala tha."AB tried to explain,"My dear hawkie,ek din tum apne isi aadat ke vajah se bohot bare musibat mein par jaaoge."Sameer looked at him and said,"Pehli baat to sir aap mujhe hawkie bulaana bandh kijiye.Aapke diye huye is naam ke vajah se mera asli naam kisidin main khud hi bhul jaaunga."AB said,"Oh c'mon Sam maine tumhe ye naam isliye diya hai kyuki tumhaari nazar sach mein baaz jaisi hai kyuki tumhe vo sab dikhta hai jo hume nehi dikhta."Sameer gave a stern smile.

[ PHILADELPHIA ]

In a bar cum restaurant in Philadelphia,a woman took order from a few men and was about to walk inside,when one of the man being drunk,slapped on her butt and said,"Hey sit on my lap you sweety!!"The man started pulling the woman but just at that moment,another woman came there and sat on the man's lap and said,"Leave this aunty!!What about me...sir?"The woman started playing with his cheek and signalled the other woman to leave from there.The woman smiled and left from there.When she went inside the kitchen,she started making drinks and arranging dishes and then her eyes fall on a small girl of 5 years who was sitting quietly and doing her homework.The woman smiled looking at her and then walked towards her and asked,"Homework complete ho gaya?"The girl looked at her and replied,"Ha mama thora hi baaki hai,abhi ho jaayega."The woman was Indira,Indira Bhushan,a single mother and works as a waitress in that bar and the girl was Saanvi Bhushan,in short Sana,Indira's 5 years old daughter.Just at that moment,the woman who saved her from those drunk people came there and started kissing the girl and said,"Hullo sweetheart!!How's the day at your school?"The girl smiled and replied,"It was nice Anna maasi."The new woman was Annabel James,lovingly called Anna,Indira's friend and co-worker and both shared the same rented apartment.Due to her family's extreme horrifying past,Indira was bound to leave India and with the help of a friend,she arrived at Philadelphia.That friend gave her the address of Anna and they both shared a small apartment and Anna even helped her getting a job in the bar where she worked.After that Saanvi came in her life and her life fulfilled and it centred around only her.Indira thanked her,"Thanks a lot Anna,you saved me today.Agar tum nehi hoti to..."Anna too understood hindi andshe replied,Oh God Indira,you know na these men...Just don't worry I'll always be around you."Indira said,"I have to serve the customers Anna,can you please give her the lunch?"Anna nodded her head.After she left,Anna gave her the lunch ,her favourate chowmein.While Saanvi was trying to have the chowmin,everytime she tried,the chowmein used to swirl down of the fork and she was never be able to eat that.After trying hard,for several times,she made sad face and said,"Anna maasi,the chowmin always falls down."Anna was so amused to see her cute expressions that she pulled her cheek and then fed her.After their shift,Indira and Anna both left the bar alongwith other staffs.While going home,Anna said to Indira,"Hey Indira,tonight Iam going to Johny's house and I'll be staying there tonight,so please manage today."Indira laughed and asked,"If you love him why you both don't get married?"Anna replied,"No...I don't love him...Iam confused and right now Iam not ready to get married.Ok now bye both of you."Both Indira and Sana bid her bye and Anna left.

While walking towards home,Indira stopped by the roadside markets to do some shopping for cooking items.While she was purchasing goods,Sana picked up a carrot and asked,"Mama carrot healthy hota hai?"Indira replied,"Ha carrot hamaare eyes ke liye bohot achcha hota hai.Par filhaal abhi tum ye rakh do,mama ki shopping ho gayi hai,abhi hum dono ghar jaayenge."While walking out of the market,Saanvi saw a girl was climbing on her father's back and was shopping inside the market.She asked Indira,"Mama mere daddy kaha hai?"Indira said,"Beta maine kaha na ek din vo zarur aayenge.Vo tumhaare bohot paas hai."Sana asked,"Par mama maine to daddy ki photo tak nehi dekhi phir main unhe pehchaanungi kaise?"Indira stopped and thought for sometime.She then kneeled down in front of her and said,"Agar koi tumhaara naam bina tumhaare kahe,sahi sahi guess kar leta hai to samajh lena ke vohi tumhaare daddy hai."Saanvi asked,"Pakka na?"Indira replied,"Sachchi mein pakka."Sana nodded her head and then holding her mother's hand she walked back home.

CHAPTER - 2

phew- finally read the whole part
it was damn promising story
i cant be;live that i m reading a story - u know it looks i m watching an action movie which is full of suspense and fight..LOL
so sameer Diwan the toughest COP of NewYork city saved ppl from a group of terrorist just a heroic way. wow what a cool man. i loved his attitude. bravo

loved AB and Sams conversation- wah we gotta to get sometime bengali sentences- awesome.
Indira a single mother lives with her daughter saanvi- hmm . i guess sameer sanvi's father. Sara ki biz kuch tou hua ki ye log dur hogaye
bahut he interesting story
