'Rangrasiya' Press Conference/E24 Seg [21 Dec.,2013]

Written Update :

Anchor - And now we take you to the press conference of 'Rangrasiya', where, present with the satr cast of the show, were the makers of the show. All were informed about 'Rangrasiya'.

VO - Not yet, Mr. Rudra!! This was just a promo launch of the show. Paro has just as yet starting talking. You will have to hear her out through the show. Anyway, now let the audience also know what all this is about??

Well, this scene is from the launch of the show, 'Rangrasiya', which was launched by the lead couple of the show, Sanaya Irani and Ashish Sharma. Both looked very confident.

Ashish - No, I am not nervous as we know what we have done. So...so...

Sanaya - I am very nervous. I have no clue what I have done...

Ashish - I am not very nervous for their expectations, because, if I had not done well, then maybe I would have been nervous, but I am 100% sure that we have worked as per their expectations.

Sanaya - Yaa, I think when you know the product is good, I know...I am 100% sure ... I will be shocked if it doesn't work. I will be bummed... I will be like What!! You guys kidding me?? You'll didn't like this?? So, no, I am 100% sure.

VO - Present at the launch were the makers of the show too. After the success of the show, 'Madhubala', they are also expecting a lot form the new show to start on COLORS.

Production personnel - We are hoping that like 'Madhubala' got encouragement from the viewers, even ' Rangrasiya' will get. We have put in a lot of hard work in the show.

ST - Response is good. Many are saying, it looks like a film, such a huge scale it is being shot and promoted. But for me, it is the story and the characters which are unique.

VO - Let us inform you that the shows launch took place in Jaipur, where winter is setting in. And it is Sanaya who is the most affected by the cold. That is why she wore a jacket in the midst of the PC and was then seen enjoying the bonfire too.

Anyway, we are now waiting for the show to start and this is the same hope which the fans of Sanaya and Ashish also harbor.

Rangrasiya Rudra ki Paro ka Bridal Look/E24 Seg [21 Dec.,2013]

Written Update :

Anchor - Now some talk about Rudra's Paro., being played by Sanaya Irani. Sanaya has adorned the bridal look and she is looking very beautiful. And what does she have to say about beauty, let us hear from her.

VO - After seeing beautiful Sanaya, the moon is obviously going to hide itself behind the clouds. Just look at her...is her beautiful face any less than the moon?? But the 'maang tika' on her forehead and the smile on her lips, the twinkle in her eyes and the bridal dress, and we wonder, why is Sanaya decked up like this??

Sanaya - She is dressing up for her marriage... for her husband... you will see in the episodes what is to happen. But, as of now, this is her wedding attire. I think, Paro gets married after a few episodes since the start of the show.

VO - Oh ho, so TV's Paro is dressed as a bride for her TV show. Well, now that you are dressed up as a bride, do tell us, how do you feel being dressed up as a Rajasthani bride??

Sanaya - Paro, ie Sanaya has dressed up as a bride a lot. This is the longest continuity of being shown as a bride. Wherever I go, I dress as a bride. Be it the show, promotion or promo. So for me, it is very hectic, but obviously, it is a beautiful get up for anybody.

All brides look beautiful. It takes a lot of time dressing up, as you can see. Luckily the make up is not heavy as Paro is a village girl. But jewellery, as you know, Rajasthani, they really dress up, the clothes, the jewellery and all of that, so we have maintained that.

VO - Hearing Sanaya speak, it sure sounds like she does not like make up at all. That is why, putting on make up is the most boring thing for her. We are right, are we not, Sanaya??

Sanaya - My face does not look good in the get up of a bride. I do not know, I feel it is too much. For me, less is more. So when I see all this, I feel I should remove some things. But I am sure other people like it.

VO - You are right. Your fans always like to see you in this avatar. Though it is a different thing that beauty lies in simplicity also. And you do not use make up in real life.

Sanaya - I really do not. if you see, in real life... I have dark circles, I do not use any make up. In fact my friends sometimes say, at least apply kohl, because lots of people use kohl on a daily basis, but I don't like that too. I think that I should let my skin breathe on a daily basis. I only use chap stick.

VO - Tell us, does Mohit prefer you when you have make up or when you are without make up??

Sanaya - It makes no difference to Mohit. I am happy, then Mohit is also happy.

VO - Ok..Ok..Ok... And we also like you anyway that you are. And we hope your audience also agrees with us. Before we leave, from U, Me aur TV, all the best for your upcoming show.

'Portraying Paro's character was not a cakewalk for me'
Richa Shukla,TNN | Dec 21, 2013, 12.00 AM IST

'Portraying Paro's character was not a cakewalk for me'
Rangrasiya
We caught up with Jaipur boy Ashish Sharma and actress Sanaya Irani braving the Jaipur winter at an event in the city recently. Braving the cold winter winds, the TV stars came decked up in the attire akin to their upcoming show Rangrasiya, but were soon forced to put on warm clothes as the event was in the open air.

Sanaya came all decked up in Rajasthani attire and jewellery, while her co-star Ashish was dresed as a BSF officer. Their new show is based in Rajasthan and the actors have been shooting amid sand dunes for a while now, battling the harsh weather conditions in the desert state.

Talking about her role, Sanaya said, "Portraying Paro's character was not a cakewalk for me as it is a demanding role. Nevertheless, I took up the challenge and did this role." Ashish, who hails from Jaipur, and is familiar with extreme weather conditions of Rajasthan, did not face much difficulty. For Sanaya, it was initially very tough to cope with the climate, but the actress decided to soldier on.

Talking about the difficulties she faced while shooting, Sanaya added, "Walking barefoot in the scorching desert gave me blisters on my feet, but that did not deter me in any way. The excitement to do something different just goaded me on. I am thoroughly enjoying every moment while shooting for Rangrasiya."

Ashish is equally upbeat about his role in the serial. He is playing a rebel, and said, "Rudra is a rebellious and headstrong character and I had to get under the skin of the character to make it look convincing."

"Would rather sit at home than be a furniture in a popular show"
Vijaya Tiwari,TNN | Dec 21, 2013, 02.55 PM IST
"Would rather sit at home than be a furniture in a popular show"
Ashish Sharma
From playing a historical character Chandragupta Maurya to essaying the role of an ambitious youngster who chooses his career over his love, TV heartthrob Ashish Sharma, has always played different roles on the small screen. The actor says he's very choosy about his characters and he would rather sit at home than be a furniture in a popular daily soap.

"I'd rather sit at home than be a part of a popular show and be a piece of furniture. I'll choose to sit at home or I'll not do a very popular show and do good work and have a good sleep. There are too many positive and goody male characters on TV and they work so its good for them. I feel each to their own. If it works for them its fine. I don't connect to such characters so I won't do them." says Ashish.

Ashish, who is once again playing a grey character in Nautanki Films' Rang Rasiya after his last show Rab Se Sohna Isshq is not at all bothered of getting typecast in negative characters, "If you see the roles that I've done so far whether it was Gunahaon ka Devtaa, Chandragupta Maurya or Rab Se..everything has been starkly different from each other. And now in Rang Rasiya the whole set up that you will see is very different. I choose grey characters as I enjoy playing a human character. I don't shy away from showing the shortcomings of my characters. In Chandragupta Maurya also though he was a positive character he had his shortcomings. I feel on TV the makers of Indian daily soaps shy away from showing shortcomings in a character. We always portray the brighter side of life because they are selling dreams but as an actor its my conscious choice to keep my characters real to show what we are in real life or to choose characters which are close to real life because I will be able to portray these real life characters more convincingly than the unreal characters," concludes the actor.

Drashti & I will rock the channel together: Sanaya Irani
Vijaya Tiwari,TNN | Dec 22, 2013, 05.46 PM IST

Drashti & I will rock the channel together: Sanaya Irani
Sanaya Irani
Who says in the glamour world two actresses can't be friends? Small screen's two popular actresses Drashti Dhami and Sanaya Irani has proved it wrong. Sanaya, who will soon be seen in Nautanki Film's Ransgrasiya on Colors doesn't consider Drashti as a competition.

"There can be no competition between me and Drashti. Why can't two people be happy and friends together. I think Drashti and I will together rock colors," said Sanaya at the launch of Rangrasiya.

Though the actress doesn't consider Drashti as a competition, she is all geared to take on real-life beau Mohit Sehgal who is now part of Qubool Hai which airs at the same time slot of Rangrasiya, Sanaya says, "Yes and I am going to take him down, I've told him. But I also feel that there is place for all good shows at the same time slot. When I was doing Iss Pyaar Ko, Balika Vadhu also aired at the same time slot but both the shows did well. So I hope it happens this time too," concludes Sanaya

Sneak Peek Trailer :

10 kms away from the border, every year, in this small town, Birpur comes a 'baraat'.

The residents of Birpur are mostly from the Moka caste. Their minds have been poisoned against the BSD. You can praise the stray dog roaming the streets of our village, but, don't you dare praise the BSD personnel ever again.

Adorning the cloak of terror, their hands holding weapons, this land, filled with hatred and devoid of love, awaits someone...

He has returned...for his motherland... and for his love...

'Rangrasiya' Title Track :

"Main mati ka putla hoon...
Tune phonki jaan...!!
Mera mujh mein sab tera Hai...
Tu meri pehchaan...!!

Tu rag-rag mein bahe mere mann-basiya...
Rangrasiya tere rang mein...
Rang-rang gayi , rang gayi main..
Rangrasiya...
Rang gayi Rangrasiya...!! "
