CHAPTER - 9
[ FEW DAYS LATER ]
One morning Nupur was playing hide-n-seek with Muskaan.Nupur was searching her.She said,"Kaha hai kaha hai meri rajkumari,mera dolu?Mamma aapko dhundh rahi hai,kaha chup gayi?"Muskaan was hiding behind a sofa by covering her face.Nupur came towards the sofa and said,"Uff!Muskaan to kahi bhi nehi mil rahi hai aur mamma unko dhundhte dhundhte thak gayi hai.Kaha dhundhu Muskaan ko."Nupur slowly walked towards the sofa's back and found Muskaan was sitting on the floor by covering her face.Nupur was so amused to see her posture that she walked towards her and then sat in front of her and said,"Mamma ne Muskaan ko..."Nupur grabbed Muskaan and said,"Pakar liya."Muskaan screamed with excitement and clapped.Nupur said,"Mela shona baba!Meli jaan!"She picked her up in her arms and said,"Chalo abhi bohot khelna ho gaya,abhi apne room mein bethkar apne dolu ke saath khelo."Muskaan said,"Na na Mu dolu na na!Mu mamma!"Nupur said,"Oh to ab mamma ko chupna parega,Muskaan ko mamma ko dhundhna hai.Par beta abhi mamma ko bohot kaam hai."Muskaan made a puppy face.Nupur said,"Ok,abhi tum yaha sofe par betho aur apni aakhe bandh karo,mamma jaakar chupti hai."Nupur made Muskaan sit on the sofa and she closed her eyes.Nupur hid in her bedroom and called Muskaan and asked her to search her.Muskaan climed down of the sofa and started searching for Nupur.She searched her everywhere except her bedroom and so she didn't find her.Muskaan then thought that Nupur was lost forever and she was scared.In a crying tone,she started calling Nupur,"Mamma!Mamma!Mu mamma!Mu dal!"Nupur heard her voice and understood that she was scared.Nupur came out of her bedroom and on seeing her,Muskaan ran to her and Nupur picked her up in her arms.She noticed tears in Muskaan's eyes.Nupur asked,"Kya hua baby?Kyu ro rahi ho?"Muskaan folded her lips and said,"Mu mamma na na!Mu dal!"Nupur wiped her tears and said,"Ooo Muskaan mamma ko nehi dhundh pa rahi thi,isliye vo dar gayi?Ole baba!Na na!Mamma kahi nehi gayi.Vo to apne Muskaan ke saath hi hai.Mamma aapko chor kar kabhi nehi jaayegi."Nupur started comforting Muskaan.After sometime,her grief is dissolved.Muskaan said,"Mamma papa tintin!"Nupur said,"Ooo!Muskaan ko papa se baat karni hai.Chalo,hum dono papa se baat karenge aur unko jaldi jaldi aane ko bolenge."They went to their bedroom to call Mayank.
While they were calling Mayank,suddenly,the servant came and informed Nupur that Arvind's brother and his family had arrived here from London.Nupur was very shocked to hear that.Nupur asked her to inform everyone and came outside with Muskaan in her arms.Arvind's younger brother was Anant Sharma,his wife Meera,his two sons Ravi and Samrat.Ravi had wife Sapna and son Rahul and Samrat was a bachelor.Everyone welcomed them in the house.Nupur and Anjali took their blessings and everyone exchanged their greetings.Shaanti said,"Arey Anant,aise achaanak,bina koi khabar ke."Nupur said,"Ha chachaji,aap log bolte to gaari bhijwa dete."Anjali ordered the servants to clean up their rooms.Meera said,"Arey hum log to aap sabko surprise dene aaye hai agar bol dete to surprise thore hi hota."Anant said,"Ha par hum isbaar aap sabse nehi ek khaas insaan se milne aaye hai.Hamaare khaandaan ki sabse laadli aur ek lauti Muskaan se."Anant went to Nupur and said,"4 saal pehle teri shaadi par aaye the beta,ye le..."He gave some money to Nupur and said,"Shagun hai beta rakh le.Tune hume vo khushi di hai,jiske liye hum kitne sadiyo se taras rahe the.Is ghar ko lakshmi dene ke liye thank you so much."Meera said,"Arey aap khare khare usko hi bolte rahenge?Hume Muskaan se bhi to milna hai.Kaha hai vo?"Muskaan,on seeing the crowd,she was scared and so she was hiding behind Anjali.She peeped from behind her.Anjali said,"Arey Muskaan aap bari mamma ke peeche chupi ho?Dekho aapse milne kaun aaya hai?Chalo chalo jaao."Muskaan looked at her and said,"Na na Mu dal!"Anjali picked her up in her arms and said,"Arey isme darne waali kaunsi baata hai?Ye aapke chote dadu aur dadi hai aur vo aapke do chachu aur chachi hai aur vo dekho aapke dono bhaiya ke tarah ek aur bhaiya."Muskaan seemed was not trusting anyone.She looked very suspiciously towards them and hugged Anjali tightly by her neck.All the family was so happy to see Muskaan.Anant and Meera came to Muskaan and Meera said,"Haaye kitni pyaari hai!Ekdam pari jaisi."Meera forwarded her hand to touch her cheek,but as soon as she put her finger pn Muskaan's cheek,she screamed angrily,"Mamma!Mu aaap!"Muskaan started beating on Meera's hand.Nupur came to Muskaan and said,"Muskaan beta ye aapse bare hai na,to aapne inko maara kyu?Ye aapke choti dadi hai.Chalo kaan pakro."Muskaan still looked angrily towards Meera.Anant said,"Apne chote dadu ke goad mein to zarur aayegi hai na?Chalo aao!"Not in an angry tone,but in a firm tone,Muskaan said,"Aaap!Mu na!"Muskaan went to Nupur's arms and held her tightly.She said,"Lagta hai,itne saare logo ko ek saath dekh kar dar gayi hai.Koi baat kuch waqt baad apne aap thik ho jaayegi."Samrat,then took some chocolates and then said,"Maine suna hai ke hamaari Muskaan ko chocolates bohot pasand hai.To main unke liye bag bharke chocolates laaya hu,itne saare."On seeing the chocolates,Muskaan's eyes widened and glittered with greed.She,at one second looked at Samrat ad at the next second looked at Samrat.Samrat said,"Par agar ye chocolates Muskaan ko chahiye to unko meri goadi mein aana parega."Muskaan looked at Nupur and then she said,"Aap agar chachu ke paas jaayengi tabhi aapko chocolates milenge."Muskaan went into dilemma,because she didn't want to go to Samrat but she wanted the chocolates.After a lot of thinking making a confused face,she said,"Mu mamma!Toc na na!Dadda papa toc!"Nupur was shocked on hearing this since Muskaan suppressed her liking for chocolates.Samrat said,"Thik hai to Muskaan ko chocolates tabhi milenge jab vo chachu ke goadi mein aayegi."Muskaan made a face to him.
At night,all gathered in the dining table but Muskaan unlike other days,sat on her mother's lap.While Nupur was feeding her,Samrat put the chocolates on the table so that Muskaan could see them.Muskaan was having her dinner but her eyes were fixed on those chocolates.It was becoming very difficult for Muskaan to control her passion for the chocolates.She said,"Ta(short form and Muskaan's version of chachu) toc!Mu ta!"Saying Muskaan raised her arms and looked at Samrat.Samrat took her in her lap and gave her the chocolates and said,"Meri pyaari Muskaan!Muskaan kitniii achchi hai."Muskaan,on hearing this,showed her 4 teeth and said,"Aththe ta!"Nupur said,"Chalo Samrat aakhir Muskaan maan to gayi."At that moment,a car stopped in front of the gate and someone came out of the car and entered inside and said,"Kaha hai meri princess??Papa is back!"Everyone turned and found it was Mayank.Muskaan was so excited that she screamed,"Papa!" and tried to come down from Samrat's lap.Samrat tried to stop her but Nupur said,"Jaane do Samrat,varna tumhe ye kharochna shuru kar degi.Mayank ko dekhne ke baad,usey rokne ki himmat khud bhagwaan mein bhi nehi hai."Samrat put Muskaan down on the floor.She ran on the floor towards Mayank calling his name again and again.Mayank leaned a bit and opened his arms and said,"Aaja mela baby doll,mela bachcha papa ke paas."Muskaan jumped into his arms and Mayank picked her up.She said,"Mu papa!"Mayank said,"Papa ne bhi apni jaan ko bohot miss kiya."Muskaan's lips were covered with food,so when she kissed on his cheek,it got applied on Mayank's cheek also.Mayank was a bit taken back to see his uncle and aunt and cousins.Samrat was almost of Mayank's age so he came to hug him.Mayank asked,"Sammy what a pleasant surprise??Kaisa hai tu aur na koi phone na koi khabar?"Mayank and Samrat were about to hug but Muskaan shouted,"Aaap!Aaap!Mu papa na!Aaap!"She pushed Samrat away from Mayank.Mayank said,"Beta chachu bohot dur se aaye hai na aapke aur bohot dino baad mil rahe hai na aapke papa se."Muskaan said,"Na Mu papa na!"Nupur said,"Aa gayi Mayank ki girlfriend."Muskaan held Mayank tightly by his neck and didn't allow anyone to come near Mayank.Taking Muskaan in his arms,Mayank somehow managed to hug Samrat and took blessings of the elders.After that Mayank returned to his bedroom to get freshed up.On seeing his luggage,Nupur asked,"Mayank jaate waqt to ek lekar gaye the aate waqt do kyu?"Mayank,instead of replying,opened that new bag and Nupur was stunned on seeing that.The whole bag was filled up with Muskaan's things,her toys,frocks everything.Muskaan was so happy to see those things that she started jumping up on the bed and clapped.She said,"Mu papa dolu,phock!Mu papa bae aththe!"She pointed at Mayank to take her up in his arms but he said,"Beta fresh ho jaau,papa ko bohot bhukh bhi lagi hai."Muskaan said,"Papa toyi!"Mayank said,"Ha ha papa story bhi sunaayenge."He went to get freshed and meanwhile Nupur tried to make Muskaan have her dinner but she didn't take that and when Mayank came out,then only Muskaan went to have her remaining dinner with him.
