FAMILY INTRODUCTION :-

Sharma family consist of the head of the family Shanti Devi,a widow.She is the sole decision maker of the family and no one ever dared to stand against her decisions.She is a very lovely and jolly kind of woman but,when it comes to the reputation and well-being of the family,she becomes the most hardest person in the world.She has two sons,the elder one is Mr Arvind Sharma and the younger one has settled in London.Arvind has his wife Maadhvi and two sons.The elder son is Dhruv Sharma,the present MD of Sharma Group of Industries and the younger son is Mayank Sharma,the present CEO of the company.Dhruv has a very beautiful and intelligent wife Anjali and twin sons Abhay and Shlok,both of 5 years old.Mayank has a sweet and very beautiful wife Nupur.Mayank was always very playful but equally serious in his work.Nupur was an orphan and she used to do job in DGI.Its there where she captured Mayank's eyes and he immediately fall in love with her.This change in Mayank was noticed by Arvind,very soon.Meanwhile Mayank befriend her and she too slowly fall in love with him.As Nupur had no one to seek permission,so when Mayank brought her home so that his family could meet her,the alliance was immediately fixed and soon they were married.The Sharma family is a well settled and one of the most renowned and respected families of the place.The family had everything,wealth,pleasure,success and fame,but as it is said that no one is the happiest person on the earth,so also the Sharma family was not happy.Since 7 generation this family didn't see the face of a girl child.They regarded girl child as the image of God.During the time of Anjali's pregnancy,everyone visited each and every temples and religious places and even performed many rituals in home to have a baby girl,but God didn't listen to them.So after 2 years,when Nupur became pregnant,everyones heart again filled up with a hope that this time God will shower his blessings on them.They left no stones unturned in pleasing the God to have a girl child in their family.

PROLOGUE :-

[ 9 MONTHS LATER ]

Nupur cried out in labour pain.Mayank and all the other family members came running to her.Maadhvi said,"Jaldi se gaari nikaalo aur doctor ko phone karo."Mayank called the doctor and Dhruv went out to start the car.Anjali sat beside Nupur and started soothing her and said,"Ghabraa mat Nupur kuch nehi hoga tujhe.Dheeraj rakh bas apne aanewaale bachche ke baare mein soch,dekhna ye dard tujhe zyaada pareshaan nehi karega."Maadhvi said,"Ha beta bilkul bhi mat dar aur bas bhagwaan ka naam le."Mayank came and informed that all the arrangements have been done.Mayank was about to pick Nupur up in his arms when Nupur screamed out of pain and said,"Nehinehi main kahi nehi ja sakti hu.Mujhse nehi hoga.Mujhse ab ek aur pal bhi ye dard bardaasht nehi hoga,please kuch karo Mayank,please."Maadhvi said,"Ek kaam kar Mayank doctor ko yehi bula,ghar mein hi iski delivery karaani paregi,hospital le jaate jaate bohot time ho jaayega,itna waqt nehi hai hamaare paas."Dhruv replied,"Main abhi hospital se doctor ko lekar aata hu."Saying he left.

Dhruv arrived with the doctor,while Mayank was constantly sitting with Nupur and Maadhvi and Anjali made all the arrangements.Shanti was sitting in front of the idol and continuously praying to God for Nupur and her child's welfare.The doctor arrived and Mayank came outside.Anjali and Maadhvi entered inside with the necessary things and locked the bedroom door from inside.Dhruv,Arvind and Mayank were patiencelessly roaming in the hall.Mayank was all tensed and worried and Dhruv and Arvind was consoling him.Mayank asked,"Dad bhaiya sab kuch thik se to ho jaayega na?"Dhruv assured,"Chill bro,everything will be alright."After a few minutes,Nupur screamed very loudly,followed by the cry of a baby.A smile appeared on Mayank's face alongwith others.Shanti opened her eyes and said,"Devi ma barso nishtha se aapki puja ki hai,ab to lakshmi bankar hamaare ghar mein apne kadam rakhdo."After a few minutes,Anjali opned the door and happily came out.She ran to the kitchen and brought a steel dish and a spoon and started hitting the dish with the spoon and excitedly said,"Sab suno,hamaari barso ki dua aaj kabool hui hai.Hamaare khaandaan mein Lakshmi ma padhaari hai.Beti hui hai beti!"She went to Shanti and called her,"Daadi parpoti hui hai aapki.Hamaare family ki sabse pehli beti aayi hai."Mayank hugged Dhruv with happiness and he cried.Shanti thanked God and said,"Aapne aaj meri saari tapasyaao ka phal de diya ma.Aapka bohot bohot dhanyavaad."Maadhvi came outside with the baby and gave her to Shanti and said,"Parpoti mubaarak ho ma!"She said,"Tujhe bhi poti mubaarak ho.Kaha hai Nupur?"Everyone went inside and Nupur looked at them with a smile on her face.Shanti kissed on her forehead and said,"Tera bohot bohot shukriya beta-"She could not complete when Mayank snatched his daughter from his grandmother and said,"Saare bohot swaarthi hai,sabne dekhli abhi tak maine apni beti ki shakal nehi dekhi."He looked at his daughter's face and said,"Bilkul mere jaisi hai,meri beti,meri jaan."Saying he hugged his daughter lovingly.
