Hey SabahThank you for finding the time to reply. It means a lot, for MJHT is a piece of art that when seen through another's perspective can open up new worlds if not galaxies.
lovely post indeed and MJHT dialogues - Sabah i have a fascination for words .. lines, lyrics, quotes i love to read them am a voracious reader hence its not a huge surprise that i had to fall in love with the lines in this show Hitesh Kewalya the original dialogue writer of this show - he has written gems indeed - i dont recall hearing such beautiful lines in a long time on any show ... and def they have a huge role to play with my love for SaJan .. the couple whose communication was the USP of this show to me - their simple heart touching beautiful lines shall always linger on for meI agree, whether the stench of shukla sir's non secular yet carrying the spirit of secularism speeches, or Nupur's out of nowhere retorts, Mayank's on liners the detail and beauty of the dialogue was indeed awe inspiring. In terms of Gunjan and Samrat like you mentioned they were given some beautiful dialogues. Those initial cute reposes after sudden remarks, for example when Samrat sneaks into Gunjan's room, BAS JAO! Bas Jao? Tumare kamre mein, hamesha ki liye? OR Samrat's you don't want to be famous, and Gunjan's what has fame gained you? Just brilliant!
here are some of the most beautiful scenes i can recall at the moment which made me truly be in awe of the writer here - who deserves so much credit
the first time that Gunjan Samrat interact when he knows he loves her ... and how he bares his heart to her ... i love this scene 😍 Samrat's 'sochte bahut zaada, bolte kam or shahid sunte bilko bhi nahin' So true, we only find depth to moments when we 'notice' its perspective.
two friends turned lovers ... who finally let each other know how much they mean to each other as in this barn Gunjan and Samrat open up about their vulnerable side to each other 😳
i cried so much, when Gunjan said I love you. There have been many I love you but this one is a favourite because of the weight it carried of all the preceding moments and all the moments yet to manifest too.

i adore the simplest words in this one esp when Gunjan says - tum mujhe Gunjan kabhi nahi bulaaoge 😳 This scene is full of honest frailty. The delicate balance of harmony, one word destroying all, GUNJAN! I love Gunjan's list of requests, so beautiful!

tum mere kal ka sapna aaj ki haqeeqat aur aanewale kal ki umeed ho chashmish
need i say more about this one 😍 the one scene which leaves me tongue-tied 😳 I love this scene because it reminds me of the truth of eternal love over fleeting desire.Unfortunately for me for, to quote another 'I am winning you with my words because I have no other ways.' I am not beautiful, nor wealthy, nor have the reputation granted with honourable fame or noteworthy lineage of family. They say the eyes are the windows to the soul, but I have seen that the tongue in truth speaks to the character of a person's heart. If their heart yearns for money, so the tongue engages in seeking it, if their heart pines for a beloved then the tongue expresses it, if their heart seeks wisdom then the tongue listens for it and so on and so on.
Samrat and Gunjan souls sought true love and so their words are true and pure too.
Love you for sharing. Love Sabah
Update - The Dialogues of Miley Jab Hum Tum – Hostage Freed!
People often ask me whether I speak as I write. Unfortunately I do not, for in this broadband speed of life people do not have to patience to allow for such indulgence. People seek sound bites not soliloquies, so can not afford me monologues either.
I lose many moments to necessity but occasionally I hold onto to one and decorate it with the luxury it deserves. Seeking the spirit of poetry; 'the best words in the best order.' MJHT was an inspiration, like my most favourite of arts, of that luxurious indulgence that my heart and soul desire. So before I share my favourites and finally that most favourite of all lines, I would humbly proffer some advice. Save some moments from your years from blurring into the length of your life; grant them depth and weight by speaking with all the eternity of your soul; that resounding heartbeat against the thud of every heartache.
Let us seek that beauty, that light as alluded to in this scene from scream 2 that inspired me to seek such in reality, many moons ago. Trust me, try it, you won't regret it but only those moments you missed to manifest in such wondrous truth!

Inspirations from MJHT; favourite dialogues and speeches.
A. Monologues.
The anguish of that heart twist every time you see your beloved and fail to confess, finally released somewhat by the pretence of a play rehearsal. How my heart wept for Mayank and Gunjan, for a wild horse freed is so much harder to rein again.

From 0:43, each of Mayank's lines hitting my heart like thunder; 'Mein bhi bahut…' reaching that crescendo and those wonderful lines, at 1:59
"kya Bheed mein tumari naazron mujhe talaash nahin karti?
Kya mere naam sunte tumari dil ke dhakhan thez ho jaate?
Kya tumare dil mere awaaz ko nahin taarasta?
kya meri ankhon mein dekh kar dar nahin lagta?
kya tumare dil mein chip hua scah tumare ankhon bidaadey?"
Haan, I fear. I fear you will see those secrets that even my own heart keeps from my soul.

The paradox of each of Gunjan's lines; relieving and yet gaining heartache still, from 1:16, Maafi, Jab, jab tumne meri taraf dekha, mujhe lagha… …jab, jab tumne mujhe dekh kar muskarai… jab jab tumne mera naam pukara…bina puche tumse pyar kiya… sirf meri galti…"
That realization that maybe we are not the centre of our beloved's world, only a part in it BUT a part of it nonetheless, from which we can not part.
The same conclusion in her final acceptance of Sheena in Samrat's life, in her pretty soliloquy.
B. Speeches.
My most favourite speech, of course Gunjan's Radio Dj Hunt speech, quoting my all time favourite Gandhi message, 'Be the change you want in this world.' Rousing as truthful! I also love Shilpa Aunty's lesson from a sacred text, as delicate as those fanciful intricacies of first impressions. at 3:10 and 5:39 respectively.

C. Unsaid yet spoken.
That 'Do something!' statement in Gunjan's look, to Samrat's 'Ok, Ok, you are so jaanuable sometimes'

The best 'unsaid yet spoken' scene and rising the bar once again, Iktara.

MN at their best. I loved how MJHT writer gave SG words to express their love as opposed to Gunjan's silence and Samrat's white noise ho hum of norm, whilst giving MN 'unsaid yet spoken' sentiments as opposed to Nupur's 'morena express mouth' and Mayank's wonderful wit.
D. Favourite dialogues.
Hindi lyricists are underrated artists. The enchantment of a melody may turn a soul towards a place but it is those syllables that hold a heart captive to that moment.
For me the some of the best lines of MJHT, are the lyrics of a song.
I loved Gunjan's line to the spirit of Samrat's song, in jaane bhi do. However it is Gunjan's haunting 'bheed mein bhi koi lagai hum hai akele yahan.' The quickening of everything before Samrat contrasting the slowing of the lyric and tune; the emptiness of all the masti moments of Samrat's life as weighed against that one moment of the truth of Gunjan's line. This is the worth of one eternal moment, that it can not be compared, not even with many lives lived. At 4:13

I loved each and every line of mere haath mein. For me touch has always been about closeness, about nearness to your beloved, for every iota of distance destroyed, our souls yearn for 'closer still...' For each iota of distance is like the length to the some unknown star!

Time to free that hostage.
Special mention to Samrat's "Toh isse kehte hai pyar, har waqt ek alag ehsaas"
and Shilpa Aunty's "Mere young kaan itney adult details nahin sun sachte"
OLD TIME FAVOURITE LINE OF MJHT, Chirunji's "hoji, shut up bolne ke sirf ek hi mathlab hota hai….
…shut up ke matlab chup raihie hota hai. Wo bhi Gusha wali anger mein!"
These words, Gautam's expressions have brought a smile to my face and heart countless times.
What is the worth of one moment of happiness?

Words are so powerful. They can be used as weapons or bring great joy - it just depends on how they are delivered. I am reminded of something I once read...If we could see the light that surrounds each and every one of us - then we would know how much our words affected one another. When you say something hurtful the light will dim but when we express words of kindness the light will brighten.
I love each and every line used in this scene, each word has alot of meaning and substance within it.
though my most favorite dailouge within it are...
M: pata hai ahbi jab mein tumhare pass araha tha,Tumhare saath bitaye huye pal bahut yaad arahe the
N: kya keh rahe the woh pal?
M: Yehi ke tum bahut yaad aogi nupur
&
M: Hum apne baron ka barosa nahi tor sakte nupur
N: tum theek keh rahe ho, hum kahbi unke khilaf nahi jayeinge!
The there was some other dailouges by mayank that i adored .
"ke maut bhi tumhe lene aye, toh main uske samne khare hoke kahunga ke meri jaan le lo lekin meri jaan ko chor do"
"Meri biwi ko mujhe se betar kaun jaan sakta hai ...baat baat pe emotional ho jana, gussa toh uski naak pe chara rehta tha, pal mein rona rote rote has dena, bikul hawa ke tarah kab teez chale aur kab choo ke nikal jaye pata nahi. bas dil mein yeh yakin hai ke jab bhi chale ji pass hi aye gi, aur agar choo ke nikal gayi toh dhandah deti jayegi
And some by Nupur :
"pyar se khoobsurat cheez aur kya hosakti hai?, hamare pass pyar hai mayank joh har kisi ko naseeb se nahi milta ...chahe aap ke pass har cheez khareed ne ki takat kyun na ajaye lekin pyar...pyar asani se nahi milta"
These are the ones i closely remember, ofcourse there are many more. but i can't remember them right now...
Great Post
Sabah I am just in awe of what you write……you are truly a bundle of talent……when you go on to describe anything it's like unveiling all those hidden meanings ………the word that has struck a chord with my heart is chashmish………love this particular dialogue where gunjan goes on to redefine this word…….the dialogue goes like this ''tum mujhe chashmish bulate ho naa toh ek baat hamesha yaad rakna ki mein tumme woh sab dekte hun jo baakhi sab nahi dehk paate''……….beautifully written……hats off to Hitesh for coming up with this………Its like redefining this word & giving it a whole new meaning which is beautiful………what really connects me to sg are these little little things which add to the depth of the relationship they share……for me this is probably the best written love story ever………
