Sunshine, i am so glad and ever so happy that whatever days I get a chance to come here turn out to be special and I always get a chance to speak to you in one way or another and it leaves me touched and feel immensely loved :) You are blessed with the grace and warmth of a mother, the one you yearn for and see in Shilpa aunty, is already there with you and would always stay, at times we are not able to look and understand ourselves the way others do. I don't know if this is a good thing or not, but I think it is a gift, to enable and look within people and Sunshine, you are ever so blessed and gifted. May this wonderful trait always be there with you. Amen.
Coming to the post, Ripley is this Ellen Ripley we are talking about? I must sound so ignorant but I have not heard of her before, I just googled and tried to find out who she is? As per what I found she is a character of a soldier or some warrior, correct me if I am wrong Sunshine? An attempt to show women as brave and ready to fight like men seems to be made. I believe it was quite successful too.Just like you Sunshine, for me Elizabeth and Scully would be more stronger and impactful characters than Ripley, apart from the fact that i don't know her from before but as for me strength doesn't have a limited meaning and the generally associated one, that is of physical strength and in today's film industry a show of skin and six pack. Strength is something which should come from within and its portrayal is such which can be readily learnt from. I know I don't make much sense. I will try and simplify my thoughts, I prefer those characters better who provide a new dimension to the notion of courage and strength, which is done brilliantly by Lizzy and even Beth and Jo from Little Women.Which other characters are there Sunshine? Here I find the answer that is the female characters of MJHT. See now am on point, when would i ever learn to come on point Sunshine and you never even scold me see so I never learnt to be on target.😭I will gather up my thoughts Sunshine and be back shortly!
Butterfly I missed your posts! 😆😆😆 The meandering journeys that led me to enlightenment! I missed you butterfly!
Yes, Ellen Ripley. Google gave you the facts but not her spirit, she was this ordinary woman pushed to limits and survived through inner strength. She wasn't a muscles warrior but a strong woman who didn't admit defeat. In terms of film, she was the first action heroine when all Hollywood gave us was men! Sigorney Weaver, just a revelation.
You wouldn't know because it was way before your time.
Butterfly, this post is a result of ALL our posts, our discussions, our meanderings. Did they not all come to the same point? Being a woman is a blessing, a beautiful blessing.
Thank you butterfly, for making sure I understood it better and more brightly.
I missed you. Did I say that already?😳😆 Love your amoeba
