Here is the next part. Well i expected it to end by around 5-6 parts... but as i started writing , i am getting much more ideas.... hehe... its a FF material... but anyways... now i'll stop.. enjoy reading...

It was during 3rd year of college when Mayank, the 4th year B.tech student entered Nupur's life. He was supposed to be the most handsome and intelligent guy of the college. Mayank had the looks of a model with a very sexy voice due to which he used to compete most of the college shows. Girls were in love with his dimples. He was a greek god for them.

Mayank and Nupur met in a common friend's party. He immediately got attracted to Nupur's bubbly nature and her big, sparky eyes, full of life. Nupur was already a fan of him like most of the girls in college. They started meeting frequently, in canteen, in library, outside college, for every possible reason they could think of.

Meanwhile, Gunjan got busy with her seminar's, classes and labs. Nupur, who used to be around Gunjan was so busy with her new 'Friend' Mayank, that she never realized how recluse Gunjan is becoming day by day.

It was during the month of January, when Nupur came to gunjan's house one day.

"Gunji, you know what? Mayank asked me to be his partner." Nupur was super excited.

"Partner? In what?" Gunjan asked with a confused look on her face.

"Well, like every year, Mayank, The Greek Gawd is performing in the talent parade of the college. And this time, he chose Nupur Bhushan, the queen of hearts as his salsa partner. Uff' how lucky I am'!" Nupur exaggerated.

"Oh! Good. Best of luck." Gunjan said in a detached tone.

"Gunji yaar. Not fair! You are not even showing 0.1% excitement of what others did. Didn't you hear me properly? I'm performing with Mayan'"

"Mayank Sharma. The greek god. That's what you all call him na. So whats the big deal, Nupur?" Gunjan replied curtly, "Good for you, but I'm not interested."

"Gunji, Why are you behaving like this?" Nupur seemed hurt. Gunjan looked at her and cursed herself for her sudden outburst.

"I'm sorry Nupsie. Its just that I'm stuck up with this stupid seminar and I took out all the frustration on you." Gunjan Bluffed. She didnt want nupur to find out about her insecurities.

"Well, that's why I keep telling you honey. Take a break from all your books. Find some life yaar." Nupur said coming back to her usual self.

You found yours, but I am not able to find it Nupsie' Gunjan thought sadly.

It was the day of Mayank and Nupur's dance performance. Gunjan didn't feel like going in all that crowd, but went anyways. She knew Nupur will be waiting for her best luck flower as she always used to give her from school days.

She went to the changing room, but Nupur was not there.

"Aryan!" she called out the coordinator, "Have you seen Nupur anywhere?"

"She'll be on the backstage. Next performance is theirs." He gave her a don't-you-know-that kinda look.

"Well, thanks." She muttered and ran to backstage. But she was late. The salsa already started.

As usual , nupur was too good. But when her grace met mayank's swiftness, the stage was set on fire. Their chemistry was excellent. Gunjan stood there in one of the wings and waited for her friend. She was so happy and proud.

The auditorium was roaring with cheers and applauds. And as soon as the curtain fell, Nupur and mayank were rounded by people. Gunjan , who was allergic to the crowd, waited for her in a corner. But Nupur suddenly disappered with Mayank at one moment.

As they made their way through the crowd, Gunjan followed them. She saw Nupur entering the changing room.

"Finally, I can tell my nupsie how well she danced." 'gunjan thought.

"Hey Nupur, You look stunning today." Gunjan overheard a husky voice as she was about to enter the room. She stopped there.

"Thanks Mayank. You look great too." Nupur said shyly.

"Nupur'. Ummm" mayank continued with hesitation, "I wanted to tell you something from many days, but was waiting for the right time. I' Will you' ummm' I love you Nupur." He finally said it.

Nupur, was on top of the world when she came to know about Mayank's feelings.

"Oh, mayank. I'm so glad you said it. I love you too." And they hugged.

Gunjan looked at the flower in her hand, and then at the couple.

"Maybe she got what she wanted. She doesn't need this anymore. I'm happy for you Nupsie" she wiped a lone tear which escaped from her eye.

With Nupur and Mayank's love affair going strong, Gunjan distanced more and more from Nupur. Gunjan hated Mayank to the core and blamed him for ruining the friendship between her and Nupur. Nupur who was blind in love, didn't understand the feelings of Gunjan. During 3^rd and 4th year of college, Nupur and Gunjan rarely used to spend together. Going to each others homes became almost null. Nupur started suspecting Gunjan to be jealous of her on the other hand Gunjan used to miss Nupur and longed for her to be like her old school friend.

One day during the 4th year of her college, Gunjan was alone in her room and was crying looking at the old photos and greeting cards which she got from Nupur for different occasions.

"Gunjan what happened? Why are you crying?" asked Gunjan's mom with worried look.

"Nothing..its just that" said Gunjan trying to wipe of the tears from her cheeks.

"Kya hua beta..something wrong in college?" said Gunjan's mom

With that Gunjan hugged her mom and started sobbing.

"arey arey..what is this..i never saw you crying this way..tell me what happened..did Nupur say something to u?" asked Gunjan's mom. Gunjan's mom observed the growing distance between Gunjan and Nupur but she never talked about it with Gunjan.

"mom..why do people change in college..why do we get old..school days used to be so good" said Gunjan between her sobs.

"beta..thats life..there's a saying "the only thing which remains constant is change"..you are not a small girl now..you should understand this..going to college, getting married, getting career, getting old..all this is part of life..you should learn to accept this.."said Gunjan's mom caressing Gunjan's hair.

"No I will never marry in my life for sure. I cannot accept that some
outsider comes and changes other relationships in life. I will not let that
happen to my life" said Gunjan strongly.

Gunjan's mom chose not to argue with her at that time and hoped time will
change her attitude towards life.
"Mom you know this year Nupsie forgot to wish me on my birthday. Since that
Mayank came into her life, nothing else is important to her. And tomorrow its her birthday and I don't feel like wishing her either" said Gunjan

"Why not..thats wrong..you should wish her..if you don't wish her there wont
be difference between you and her. May be after u wish she will realize her mistake. You should atleast give a try to revive your old friendship." Said Gunjan's mom convincing her to call Nupur.

"Maybe you're right." Gunjan said after thinking for a while," I will call her. "

And she hugged her mother with a smile.
