Hey Rinkyyyyyyyyyy,
Excellent topic. Whoa so many characters and roles. I need to think hard and hard for this. Lets start it rolling shall we.
Before that I wrote such a long post and i pressed backspace.😔 Its alright here we go. Thats true, watching the actor play the same role or same kind of role gets monotonous not just for the audience but even the actor himself or herself. Experimenting definitely leads to growth and learning much more. An actor with three different roles is better exposed and versatile in my opinion than one doing just one kind of role in five shows.
Coming to the point. Interesting, especially Rati has been very lucky to get an opportunity to play different shades under the umbrella of one role. But I would love to watch her and Arjun essaying different characters.
Arjun and Rati together, umm can we divert a little. Like I would love to watch them as a pair in all the three choices you mentioned especially as Othello-Desdemona. But I want them to share screen space and relations which are not typical yet very realistic. Like to come together but not as a couple.
I would love to watch Rati and Arjun play Meenakshi Iyer and Raja Chowdhury respectively,(Played by Konkana Sen and Rahul Bose) from the movie Mr and Mrs Iyer. Here the lead pair shares a very interesting relationship, they are not banal lovers. Indeed the girl is married to someone elseand has a child, yet still their relationship is filled with so much warmth, a little awkwardness mixed in well😆 the lead pairs are attracted to each other and unsaid love is there. It is portrayed so well that one can feel it along with the characters so beautifully.
Rinky there are so many characters, I want to see them play together, can I add them later as I don't just want to write but think and write properly.😳
Coming to Rati Pandey. Whoa I was thinking the same. She is such a versatile actress and more so she got an opportunity to showcase that. I have always wondered how would have Rati played the role of Gunjan, a polite, simple girl and imagine Rati reading loads and loads of books dedicatedly and not filmy magazines.😆 Its a little hard to imagine it as of now, because I am so use to Nupur but it would be a treat to watch Rati as a shy girl like Gunjan was.
Autistic, which story is this? I have never read it Rinky. 😔 But yeah it would be really interesting to watch Rati playing that. I am yet to watch Page 3 so can't say much.
Individually I would love to watch Rati doing Gul Panag's (Zeenat's) role from the movie Dor. Her fighting spirit and the way she goes about searching for a girl who can save her husband's life. I really like the whole script, execution and this character in particular. Rati would do amazing and she likes doing roles where women are portrayed as strong and impactful as compared to being meek damsels in distress!
Arjun, Oh boy I would love to watch Arjun in any shady role. But not the hackenyed bollywood Villian. Dr Jekyl and Hyde would be classic. God father is my all time favourite. He would do great in portraying emotions of anger, hatred and frustration. Dil chata hai, nice but then I don't really want to see Arjun as a cute boy next door 😆, I know he does well but Mayank is so much similar in my opinion to such roles that it won't be something really different. Character of Raavan thats a great choice I was thinking the same.
Indeed watching Rati and Arjun together as Gayatri and Raavan would be amazing, I am referring to the new movie Rinky. The whole idea of the movie Raavan was excellent but the script wasn't that strong and neither was the acting as it should have been.
I can think of only these for now.
