I mean, almost all Sanaya's fans are good writers, never bash, and very matured compared to the fans of the remaining 3 leads............ now what does that indicates to?............ I think the beauty of Gunjan's charachter and the performance of Sanaya is hard to be recognized completely by audiance who's maturity is lower than a certain level.
And what Neefa said just empower what I've said.
In short, Quantity matters but Quality matters more

Yes completely agree with you, you are equivalent to 1000s of sanaya fans ....👏👏👏

I watched the epi with much lower quality on YT coz I lost the channel............ the editing was not good.......... but still there was something other than that which made me not impressed by the scenes..........

Only this week I could see the play again with TV quality, surpisingly I enjoyed it a lot............ actually I could feel the scenes very well........ it was very well prepared and executed in terms of writting, directing, and acting..........
I wondered, why I loved it this time unlke the first time?!!
And I reached to this conclusion.............
The play scenes are very difficult and different than the scenes we used to see in MJHT................ I mean, those scnes required performing at the same time 2 charachters from different stories with different avaters......... and perferm different yet similar feelings synchronically................
My mistake was that I watched the scenes with the same way/perception I used to watch other MJHT scenes "only waiting to see Sajan feelings".......... which I shouldn't do........... but in the second time, I watch it putting in mind the feelings of both Sajan and DevRo........... only then I could understand and feel the beauty of these scenes........
I believe the play should be one of the most difficult, if it wasn't the most difficult, scenes that Monaya did porform in MJHT,............ but they did it very beautifully.......... I loved their performance despite the difficulty of portraying 2 stories in one scene.........
I need to 👏 for writers, the director despite the editing part, and actors for giving something different, unique and yet very beautiful.......
And not to forget you beautiful analysis of the scenes......... it helped me in understanding each part of the play very well................ since I don't know hindi, I based heavily on your description
👏 to you too

You should watch it again with Naveena's edited version, you'll fall in love with the play. You could go to her gallery for more videos, but you can watch the play in the posts on this thread. Yasri, I'm telling you it makes sooo much difference. I couldn't thank Naveena more for this, and I couldn't hate the editors more for spoiling it on television.

You're right as usual. First even I was like what have they done to Paro's final dialogue. But then when I thought part of Gunjan is speaking through Paro, I was like yeah now it makes sense. So yeah, they played both Dev-Paro and Samrat-Gunjan simultaneously.

And not to forget your beautiful responses Yasri.... you know that you've helped me a great deal in changing my attitude on this forum. So now you're telling me that you don't know Hindi? I've this crazy habbit of typing lines in Urdu/Hindi, I hope I haven't done that with you. Btw, you could have asked me to translate the dialogues for you. I'm not that bad in translation after all. Tell me if you want to have them translated.

Drishti... another piece of encouragement from you!

Dont worry about writing a detailed response, I know how life can get hectic most of the times.

Okay about writing more, I have things in mind. First of all, I want to write a similar piece on Devdas on Jia's thread. But guess what? I'll be mostly inactive for a month's time. The moon was sighted at my place and tomorrow's the first day of Ramadan. However, I'll still pass by to check on you guys.. and in the mean time, I might even make the post on Devdas. But since I won't be watching the show for a month, I won't be able to participate in your current discussions. Oh this reminds me, I need to request Naveena to keep a strict record of Samrat-Gunjan scenes for the next 30 days at least.

True. It makes me think, if we begin measuring the quality, Sanaya will have the biggest number of fans. If Yasri gives her 1000 fans, I can probably give her 100 fans. And then we have other brilliant users...

First, you need to acquaint yourself with the meaning of the term "Show-stopper." Let me help you with its definitions from an online dictionary:

1.show-stopper - an act so striking or impressive that the show must be delayed until the audience quiets down

2.show-stopper - something that is strikingly attractive or has great popular appeal; "she has a show-stopper of a smile"; "the brilliant orange flowers against the green foliage were a showstopper"

Source: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/show-stopper

In case, you're worried about the credibility of the above source, Cambridge dictionary defines it as:

"a piece in a stage performance that the audience enjoy so much that their clapping and shouts of approval interrupt the performance"

Source: http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/british/showstopper

In a fashion show, many models walk the ramp. But there's this one breathtaking model who's given the title of "The Show-Stopper." And hence the title says Sanaya as Paro was the showstopper. So yeah she stopped the show with her awesomeness.

Hope it's clear now.

Finally am back to Sajan to complete my last post which i wrote in a hurry! All those words completely justify the Sajan scene. Its always nice to read abt things u hav seen and your POV made me see the play in a different way. And I loved how u guys have edited the play. Not tht im a hater of Mayur bt its just tht it wsnt necessary for Mayank-Dia scenes to be in between the play. I have to really mention this: I LOVED the way you described hw everything lifeless seems to be brought to life by Paro's beauty! I loved the ending of part 1 aswell where u perfectly described wht Dev leaving Paro wud do to her. KEEP IT UP and will surely return for part 2 some other time!

Sorry abt my short reply last time bt its jus tht I was busy bak thn wid Sidhima (DMG and fav Jodi) the thing is Im more of a DMG viewer and dont visit MJHT forum much and i jst read a post by candilious and remembered ur post and my SHORT reply and thought of rectifying the mistake.

PEACE! SUPPORT SIDHIMMA! (sorry I noe its MJHT bt the minority always hav to struggle for their Jodi)

hey sonya. i had actually missed this. just read and i m __________ (fill in the blanks pls )

u have explained each n every situation so well ...made me luv with the new paro n dev even more ..

i loved n cried over this para

"And so the story ended with Dev's physical and Paro's spiritual death. Living with the merchant to whom she was married as a physical body with no soul, she could neither taste joy nor sorrow. Paro had petrified, because her grief had reached the point where she felt no pain. She could never light the candles again nor adorn the jewelry she wore. Even the darkest of the nights could not offer a covering for the grief that dwelled in her heart.

Such was the saga of a lover who had won every battle, yet lost the war."

Hey Affy. I wrote part two for you guys, and you missed it??!! This is not done yaar! (joking). Well you know what, the more I think about such classical characters, the more I fall in love with them. And the strange thing is every time you ponder over them, you come up with something entirely new. Devdas and Paro are definately from those classical characters. So yes, we'll keep falling in love with them over and over. Thanks to Sanaya for bringing forth that grief-stricken part of Paro so well. She expressed it all through her eyes. I really LOVED her experssion in this snapshot:

I mean look at her. I said Paro had petrified and Sanaya has shown it through this 'frozen' expression. It is as if she has turned into a stone. I can imagine Paro living the rest of her life without Devdas just in that state.

From the paragraph you've quoted, I like the last line, "She had won every battle yet lost the war." Don't you think that's exactly what happened to Paro? She waited for Devdas for decades, everyone said he won't come but she had faith that he will return. Then the entire society taunted her for her relationship with Devdas, but even that couldn't weaken Paro. She continued loving Dev despite all the hurdles. She had won every battle. Anyone would expect a lover as courageous as Paro to come out victorious at the end. But Paro didn't, because she lost Devdas. And so she lost the war.

Btw, after Ramadan, I'll be posting something similar on Devdas played by Mohit so, make sure you don't miss that one. I tell you: you wont be forgiven this time!

Honestly, I'm missing you guys...

I scanned your comment yesterday but couldn't reply since I was in a hurry (that is fine I guess considering you left your last comment in a hurry too, adlay ka badla you see).

Yeah, almost everyone on this thread agrees that the editing had destroyed the play, but thanks to Naveen for an attempt to rectify the wrong of the creatives by giving us her edited version.

About the description of Paro's beauty, that's how I felt after seeing Sanaya as Paro. Hence, it was not an active but a passive description. Like Samrat thought, "Agar aaj Paro bhi yahan hoti, to tumhari taarif karte nahi thakti." - I agree Samrat! About the effect of Dev's departure on Paro, what else could happen to her considering he was the one who breathed life into her?

I'm glad to have a DMG viewer comment on Samrat-Gunjan's enactment of Dev and Paro. This tells me that they have done a fantabulous job!

No complains about promoting "Sidhimma" here although I dont watch the show.

@bold: Just as a reminder, this is a thread dedicated to the Paro enacted by Sanaya - we are not even talking about the character of Gunjan unless it's somehow related to Paro so you can forget about "Sajan." Essentially, it would be wrong to call it a "Sajan" scene here. Btw, we'll soon (actually not so soon considering it'll take at least another 2 weeks) be opening something similar on Devdas played by Samrat as you might know it if you've read the comments here. So do consider passing by the MJHT forum again if you're not very busy with your regular DMG forum.

Btw, I wont really say the minority have to always struggle, they only need to have faith in their beliefs. If you're confident that you're right then go ahead - to the hell with those who disagree. Only then you can be successful. Even if you don't come out victorious, you'll still be content and that's what matters.
