Only wanted to put my view.
I really do not understand since when we started to talk about logic in MJHT and people started feeling bad when illogical stuff is shown. Because we love many things in MJHT which are most illogical in real life.
I do not know if topic maker had check the episodes when drama was being planned. It was not planned for students to showcase their talent. It was planned ONLY because Samrat wanted to try to make Gunjan happy and drama was one part of it. It was Samrat and Mayank's idea of the same plan to make Gunjan Paro. As for Devdas, Rohan was doing his role but he was not able to do that good, so Mayank was Devdas as he showed them how brilliantly he can act and everybody thought he shoud be Devdas. (So Trustee had no role in drama which is topic maker's main concern). Now when Mayank did not appear for the role and Gunjan's old stage fears came back, then Samrat decided to go and play Devdas so as Gunjan can be relaxed. I guess that explains trustee being hero of the drama in college (which was NOT AT ALL planned to showcase students' talent).
Till now we have loved many illogical things in MJHT (Like MayUr going in jungle to find highway when they could have followed the same detoured road they came from to reach highway or playing dumb charades in National Student Talent competition or SaJan getting engaged without any of their parents all of a sudden and all). But we have never paid any attention to such illogical things. Also, the biggest illogical thing in MJHT right now is Nupur returning after 3 years if we are talking about logic. (Believe me, I love Nupur and I am very happy and I also have played my part in the efforts to bring her back. So, please do not categorize me). But let us face it, it is illogical which happens only in unbelievable daily soaps. But we are most happy for that because we are getting what we wanted.
So why people are so concerned about one illogical thing when there are many other illogical things that they love by all their heart.
P.S.: My POV. We all love MJHT with all its faults.

I really love sajan's love story's .........that's the major reason that has got me hooked on to mjht..........its definitely tv's best love story for me..........sanaya mohit rock as gunjan & samrat

you know, sonu, i f you like romantic movies with a difference, there are two you should watch if you can ... little known gems with Amitabh Raakhee ... another couple I really love ... Bemisaal and Jurmana ... very hatke love stories ... not the usual simple romantic ones. Another very interesting one was a movie called Basera with Shashi kapoor, Raakhee and Rekha ... love stories with very unusual twists, no simple black and white, but really making you think.

N me too love Sajan's love story ... it' started off as such a cliched love story and has evolved into such a beautiful one ... it's the best tv love story for me and I'm loving this track ... just hope they end it well, cos the cv's have a strong track record of messing up endings.

Rakhee I believe is a phenomenal actress (I am taking my mothers word for this ….she is a big fan of her work)

And as for Samrat knowing the lines, didn't you see him rehearsing scenes with Gunjan? Plus, she had explained the whole story to him... So obviously, he knew everything. And he attended the rehearsals going on in college.
