hey guys!😊 i made a topic on this forum about my little sister's reaction to season 2 earlier (like a month ago) and I got a good response to it so im making another topic to discuss. I hope u guys will like it😳
So I sometimes watch mjht on youtube and I was thinking the reason we fell in love with our seven rockstars in season 1 was due to character development. I mean each character was lovely and unique. The weaknesses, capabilities, emotions, family background, their personality traits were shown way before any story took place. We started getting to know the characters slowly through the beginning scenes before any plot.
Mayank as intelligent, driven, and not friendly but mama's boy
Samrat as cool dude with no parental guidance
Nupur as bubbly and fun loving
Gunjan as shy and studious
Dia as college diva but still that vulnerable side existed
Uday as joker and dumb but loving and caring.
Benji as good friend and cute.
Their love stories developed later, much later. The most successful screenplays are character-driven, even those with complex plots. In solid, character-driven scripts, all action, or plot, is organic; that is, it flows logically from the characters' needs and desires. Whatever emotional struggle you are attempting to dramatize--whatever your premise--your story must bleed out of your characters' psyches. CV's should understand this😡
In season 2, these newbies characters are not even developed!! 😲 They see their partner in one glance and fall in love with them so fast😕 If love can happen so fast, then india will have double the population it has now from the babies will result from those marriages of "love."🤣 I mean ash did not even know samrat that much as then love? and rohan...he does not even know ash yet for goodness sake🤢 and ria, all of a sudden she is in love?🥱
Their characters needed background information for us to like them. Alas, it is too late because "love" has already started. Adhaani had also the same way of introduction and thus very few people accepted them and the result was a big disaster🤢 The only way for this to improve is bring all the old characters back because their characters were already developed! Season 1 rocked!😳
