Aahana, brilliant topic as usual, hon!!!!
Life imitates art ... and today Gunjan was discovering parallels in her life and those of the girl she was portraying ...

This battle seems less between Samrat and Gunjan and more between Gunjan Bhushan and Samrat's Chashmish ...

and Samrat says as much too ... aaj main Gunjan se apni Chashmish vapas maang lunga ...

Being a working woman, who has lived with this balancing act for some years now 😉 ... my sympathies are all with Gunjan, though I must admit, Samrat is not completely wrong either ...

Gunjan for the first time is finding her own identity ... she is doing something on her own ... she started it for Nupur, for Samrat ... but now she is through this movie, finding herself as well. She has always done what other people told her to do, what others expected of her ... Samrat persuaded her for the TP, helped her for the RJ hunt, but she never quite lost her insecurities, she always had low self esteem, first being in Nupur's shadow and then in Samrat's, as the simple girlfriend of the most popular guy in college. Now she is in the process of finding herself ... of being just Samrat's girlfriend, but also Gunjan Bhushan ...

And it IS important to have your own identity ... for the new Indian woman of today, for the youth that this show is actually aimed at, it is important to show that you can achieve a balance and manage both your professional and personal lives together ... yes, Gunjan was leaning towards being Gunjan today and not Chashmish, but then she has been Chashmish for so long, give her some time to tilt towards the opposite pole before she finds her balance ... and this is ALWAYS a tightrope act all through life ...

And the reason I liked Samrat also is that he was not completely unreasonable either ... he did try to calm himself down and say that they can talk things through ... that is SaJan's USP and I am very sure that they will do that this time around as well ...

but when he said ... I want Chashmish back ... that was the child in him, the child that is present in almost every grown man, the one who wants his gf's or wife's attention all the time, who wants to come first in her life always ... For women, that is not the case - if their men have work issues, women patiently take a back seat and wait for them, but most men want that reassurance all the time that they are more important than anything else to their women ... even their work.

I wonder ... is this track more about Gunjan finding herself, becoming a stronger personality, or rather being able to display the strength that she has hidden within her - she has shown that strength only for her loved ones till now, for Nupur or for Samrat ... isn't it time for her to show that she can be strong for herself too? and that will make her even stronger for her loved ones.

Or is it about Samrat not taking Gunjan for granted any more ... and thus leading to marriage ... don't know, but it is interesting so far, and it promises to get more interesting. Neil has still not revealed his true colors yet, for one thing!!!!

@aahana86..loved the title of thepost simply awesome 😊 . Identity crisis indeed it was for Gunjan, as she found herself questioning her individuality. Have always wanted Gunjan to raise above chashmish, finally happy we are getting to see this aspect of gunjan's character. I really liked the way you described Samrat's and Gunjan's feelings. However I don't think Neil could be negative. He has always seen samrat only as as the angry young boyfriend, I don't think he truly realises the impact samrat has in Gunjan's life.
@Diya S loved you reply. I was thinking the same, it was very important for Gunjan to find her own identity, am glad the creatives are showing this aspect of her character.

Gunjan was leaning towards being Gunjan today and not Chashmish, but then she has been Chashmish for so long, give her some time to tilt towards the opposite pole before she finds her balance ... and this is ALWAYS a tightrope act all through life ...

Loved the way you have used your words here 👏.

And the reason I liked Samrat also is that he was not completely unreasonable either ... he did try to calm himself down and say that they can talk things through ... that is SaJan's USP and I am very sure that they will do that this time around as well ... but when he said ... I couldn't agree more with this 😊 . I was thinking the same thing when I was watching Samrat's monologue scene. Gunjan can deal with samrat's divided attention(e.g.sheena track), but samrat is yet to face anything like that. Samrat was the one who wanted the world to see Gunjan, he didn't realise tat his chashmish has to take a backseat and make way for Gunjan Bhushan. 😊

This track is really intensifying n [Text Colour] ow...
Realistically speaking I do not see a future for Samrat and Gunjan..
They both are better off without each other.
Gunjan is finding her identity and is going to be successful...
Samrat has been a supportive boyfrined, but relationship works well whn both partners are
on a equal footing..Samrat has no goals in life and Gunjan will now on have them,
such a relationship is difficult to succeed...
All Samrat is going to do is think abt Gunjan..it is not going to work.
I think they are heading for a breakup..
This track cannot lead to Samrat proposing to marriage because
maybe Gunjan will refuse...
I think gunjan also needs to think after emrging out of Samrat's shadow
does she really need him..
I think in quest of discovering herself, she might very likely lose her sensitive side
which normally happens
SO I do not see a future for Sajan

Wonderful topic Aahana.....loved today's episode .. wow ! no words to describe it .. first salute to cv's for showing such a real , thought provoking & so necessary plot to base this track upon .....In today's time when the Indian woman is coming out of the protective folds of her family ..... this kind of situation & these feelings must b faced by all at some point in their life.. when we question .. who am I.. ....am just a daughter.. a GF...a wife ... or a mother!!!!!!!!!!

Today they showed both Gunjan & Nupur standing at that crossroads & asking these questions & reflecting on their desires & dreams..............
As for Gunjan.. I 'm totally with her. it's not her fault that Sam is insecure.. if u see .. what has she done.. she has not gone out with Neil to some private dinner , or date, or some party.. nor it has been shown that she is extra friendly or flirty with Neil.... but still it's Sam's insecurity & his thinking that is driving them apart... woh kehate hai.." khilali pulao".. that what he is doing.........I bet if it was a woman director or a dark, ugly oldie director instead of Neil .. Sam would not b so jealous or angry .. basically he is not upset with the movie or Gunjan giving him less time .. but because she is working with a handsome young director.. even if he was (sam ) very successful , he would have behaved in the same way ....
As for Gunjan .. she has always trusted him ,even when he was shown flirting with other girls.. so for her his this kind of behavior is a shock .. plus what they showed abt Gunjan thinking abt her identity is so right ...In a way she was always under some shadow.. earlier it was her much pretty , extrovert sister.... then it is her handsome, most popular BF.. today for the first time in her life she is doing something on her own away from her sister or her BF...she is trying to find herself.. on her own .. without anybody's helf .....this is her acheivement.. so therfore she is not wrong .. if she wants to continue this journey
In sajan's case both r right in thier thinking .... for him it's his scars speaking & for her it's her self discovery speaking......there is no ego here . but lack of communication that'll cause the rift.
Now the question is where will these crossroads meet? & how much will they loose in this journey ?

As for Mayur .. there is just Ego... & that too TYPICAL MALE EGO ... a guy who is so surprised that his wife has the capabilities to do better than him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .....I'm happy that CV'S have shown Nup being strong & taking the step to go ahead with her journey to discover herself & her dream .............. Meanwhile Mr. Maynak Sharma has to learn a bitter lesson that his wife is an intelligent , confident woman & therefore he has to respect her
That's why this track is so interesting ... in both of the cases the situations are so different but both have the power to ruin the strongest of the relationships... in one case .. it's the over possessivenes & anger that'll destroy the relationship.. while in the other case it's the ego......& the common thing among both of the cases is lack of communication among the partners...
I think that what the CV'S are trying to highlight in this track... the importantance of communication in a relationship.................Kuddos for them for this ... & to u for opening such a mind blowing topic

@ bold
In my pov........... this movie will not give Gunji identity........ coz Identity comes from the way you behave and how you affect others behaviour..........not from what is your work, how much you earn, and how many people knows you...........
If cvs want to send this massage of Gunji gain her identity from the movie then I don't agree with them..........
As Ii said, your identity lies in your behaviour..........even if you are the poorest in this world and isolated from others.......from one meeting only you can impose your identity on the others due to your behaviour..........
May be Sam, Mayur had achieved things that imposed their identity "as per people's standard"....... but Gunji, though achieved nothing "as per people's standard", has always her special identity........
Her identity comes from the unconditional love and trust that any man would fall for it............ any kid would leave anything else to have it..........any parent would feel proud the most to rise it.......
While being an actress, what is your identity, what you really achieved from it?!!............. just 2 hours of watching you to have some entertainment and then forget all about you...!!!
I'm not saying Gunji is right or wrong,..............she has the right to have her own work and interests............but talking about identity, she always have it........... maybe not clear for some people, but there are others who can see and appreciate her all time identity, her real identity............ and that's what I loved the most in Sam...........Her gives Gunjan's identity the appreciation it deserves.................
I'm just trying to explain my pov that Identity comes from your personality not from your career.......

You are so right regarding the compatability in relations......... Gunjan is gonna be famous and has her career started early............but what can Sam do?!!!..........I mean he needs to finish college first then start to build his career as well............
Now till then, how this relation would work?!!!

Awesome topic aahana..

Very true "Life imitates art far more than art imitates life." What more example then our SaJan... its so real and kudos to cv's for showing such a realistic , thought provoking track... aahana most of us can relate to it...

Gunjan like most girls who has always been under shadow of her family and loved ones... given the opportunity she is in search for own identity, by circumstances of Maya ... Today both Gunjan standing at that crossroads where she is trying find her worth not to prove to the world but herself. And hence now she is more of Gunjan than Samrat chashmish..

Samrat is right in his own way as he did try to clam and act maturely as to talk to her and clear all things and get back his chashmish... he was right when he said that the best solution to the problems is communication between them because he realized that miscommunication and unexpressed feelings are disintegrating their relationship..

In today's world however a guys are open-minded deep inside their heart they always want that reassurance.. As of samart he wants all attention and reassurance for his insecurities which creeps from his past... he is not against her self-realization, he against the circumstances, the circumstance which makes him vulnerable to its insecurities....

With the circumstance not allowing him to meet her, again it's not his ego which is reflected in outburst, its self respect that's been questioned that irks him...

Now it's how they move from this Crossroads where they have to face their own insecurities all alone..

MJHT has always given positive message and again for me this track has to show the youth , that you can achieve a balance and manage both your professional and personal lives together ... at the end it's all about compatibility, compromises as sustaining the relationship... I want them to show this without the breakup showing that with a little freedom, a little bonding- a little compromise, a lot of communication, a lot of trust and understanding as a key to achieving balance in their of relationship ' committed or married....

That is the reason I do not see a future unless gunjan makes special effort which she is definitely not making...She is currently totally into her own thing
IF she wants their relationship to survive she has to help Samrat..
I have practically seen many relationship disintegrating because it is not possible for many women to be sensitive enough to help their partners
