AJ....I am serious 😆 I get attracted to the MAN anyday 🤣..and todays epi reinforced it...wow I have to say the character till now makes me feel that he is the MOST REAL character in this show..not taking away anything from the other characters...at some point all of them seemed very fictional to me as I couldnot relate to any of them at some level...but Neel is in a way a part of all of us..atleast those of us that dare to dream and toil each day to achieve it...

his passion for his work..the intensity was really nice ...gotta give credit to the actor.. most definitely he is a natural and doing a great job...my fav line today was "This is not a college play...this is a 50 crore film"..that for me had symbolism..that the world outside college requires accountability and responsibility...there is too much at stake..and in any professional field...much as I had hoped Neel has brought that aspect in the show...for once its something I relate to..as a big part of my daily life is spent on fulfilling my aspiration...my passion...my work

LOL...on the first sentence ...Ahem... yeah finally I watched today's epi for Neel Oberoi... U are right... to sum it up he gave every one something to think of... introspection if you will...

I absolutely loved when he put things in to perspective ... right to the point... retakes over mistakes... his way of making sure the shoot goes the right way... perfection dedication and also through understanding of the process itself....tells he worked hard to reach where he is today...it was not handed it to him... he earned the right to be proud...

It is not yet clear how he will impact Sajan as of today... but he sure gave MN a double dose of reality...

Neel is so far absolutely part if us like u said...hence my curiosity...I stopped watching MJHT almost 2 months ago V day was last.... now I am watching again thanks to this guy... cross fingers and hope he continues to inspire our dear leads who believe in romance so much they forgot to learn and achieve ...because once they step out side of this college their identities as cool dudes & princesses will cease to exist and they will become one in billion....

@Kiran and @Sabah... I did nothing... I am not as wonderful and eloquent writers like you guys... I am more like Jo mann mein aaya woh bol diya type...

But today... for the first time Mayank questioned himself... was he answering when he said pyaar bohot kuch hota sab kuch nahin... his mother asked him to find his love... she also was upset over how they handled life..... she said so her self... now he stands at the doorway of past , present and future ... past was clear , present is obscure...future is dark....
I felt he identified with that part of Neel whom he could really identify with and cherished very much... now that he realized what he lost would he be able to get it back ???

For me, I think this is a process for Mayank to get back to his roots. For a while Mayank's love for Nupur had overtaken his other dreams and become the dream - he's a v.focused person - so to get Nupur's love was his focus - and now he has that. What next? Neel is the catalyst who makes him remember his earlier dreams - his life's goals. I loved the way he says "Jaise main hua karta ha tha' - one realizes that he's also aware of his character transformation!!

His future does look bleak - but when Nupur says "Ab koi sapne hi nahin rahe" - asks Nupur that is this all we wanted from life?- And that gives me a ray of hope - the realization - that there's plenty more to get from life and one has to reach for it. We girls are more romantic I guess - and think Love is everything which is what Nupur says - saying that we have love - but well often love is not everything which is what Mayank expresses - and the age old question - Is love enough to make a relationship work? It is often said that love is good when times are good - but tough and hard to preserve when the going gets tough? Mayank's realization that in the drudgery of everyday life - he's lost his dreams - will sow a seed of discontent - but I feel that he will do as he advised Nupur - it is time to make new dreams and reach for them together. What can I say I'm the eternal optimist!! 😊

i loved your posts and even i loved neel today. his no-nonsense attitude dedication & focus was really impressive. i think this is one cameo which i will remember long after it is gone. and mayank introspecting phew that was a relief. finally he started using some of his sense. love & achieving dreams are not mutually exclusive. like when mayank was in banglore there were some scenes where he is writing an assignment. but the makers forgot that college is used for things other than romance after they got married. they are back on track. and MN are given a proper build-up for the first time. mayank is frustrated at the lack of dedication towards his goals he once enjoyed & nupur is slowly but surely accepting the fact she needs to let go & find new dreams. they will fight for sure but this time i am looking forward to an MN fight which really helps them in their life

I wanted to make two points towards this insightful discussion, but first a detour. It has been a long time since MJHT inspired me to ponder over life. Is this truly a return to MJHT spirit of aspiring to fulfill one's potential, to make a positive difference against overwhelming negativeness?

ONE. Nothing is impossible except living in the past.
So many people waste time pouring over their regrets in their leisure and their sorrow, so much that their life thesis becomes 'if only...'
I hope both Mayank and Nupur heed Shilpa Aunty's concern and encouragement, as Champkiran reminded us.

Which leads me onto TWO, as Teju pointed out for so many girls their life's goals and ambitions do not pass their wedding day. I have witnessed first hand, numerous times the post wedding depression forming, taking root and tainting the rest of their lives.

Why is it that when one dream fades we wish all others away too? Why do girls fail to form dreams after their biggest dream of the grand wedding, surpassing their expectations, becomes part of their real history and not fanicful imaginations?

Rinky wrote a beautiful piece on Nupur's lost dreams to the CVs, in which (if she doesn't mind) i would like to quote"
She is a person who moves forward and carries the world forward with her. She is an epicenter of activity and life. Life which is unpredictable and filled with good and bad. She wanted a grand wedding and her wedding was one of the worst that can happen to any girl"

I would love to see Nupur succeed after living through her unexpected nightmare and shattered hopes to form dreams built upon two lovers promises.

I hope MJHT show Nupur's inner struggle, that marriage is life affirming, that finding love early was a blessing since it will be her strength!

We seek the end of the rainbow, knowing that it can never be found. One dream leads to another one which is imbued by lessons learned and wisdom gained and thereby is inevitably more profound.

Love Sabah
Thanks again AJ for a brilliant post. 👏

@Kiran , Teju and Sabah... We just can't stop feeling good inside about the new change...now can we ?
@ All ..... After reading about SBB today my adoration for Neel character has increased...so did my respect...
let me put it in words... he didn't just impact them in one way ... let me go character by character.. In short Neel made them get in touch with their inner self...which was lost in the wayward funny and mindless routine of these college kids...
First and foremost... ( sajan fans please don't jhaadofy me ...this is truly the way I see it ...)
Samrat... for the first time... I saw Samrat scared... felt ominous... felt insecure... his inner child who went through a trumatic experience of his parents divorce came out..... he felt lost again.... Neel made him get in touch with his real self... the one may be only Gunjan knew but he hid it successfully from evryonr else... the one who needed love and assurance which was never given to him.. the one who covered up the wound by acting carelessly and being frivilous...his defense mechanism.... it made him deal with life and move on..... now he faces it front forward.... he can't escape it like he did in the childhood ... now he needs to work through it .... And Neels presense made him do that.....
Mayank.... we all know this and discussed it and I am still wondering what else will he do now that he saw A POSITIVE INFLUENCE right there infront of his eyes...
Nupur ... LOL... I will probably get beaten up for saying this...but one thing he taught Nupur ...Think before act...My Dear Lady jumps on any chance she gets to act. ( it was cute BTW) .. Neel acknowledged she indeed did a good job except she wasn't supposed to... everything has a time and place.... A lesson perhaps... We can only give so much the other person is willing to take..... if not it will be a waste....
Dia.... I personally loved it.... the diva ... no one dared to question her..... he reminded her of her status and his responsibility in one sentence.... what is it he tried to tell...lady there is a bigger world out there... with real job and responsibilities... you being a Diva of a small college no bearing on outside world.... because out here THIS IS MY SHOW.... a reality check...
Finally Gunjan..... I am still waiting.... One thing is obvious... he is severing her dependencies one by one.... unknowingly .... now she is on her owm... do or die.... having the same core values as Neel No doubt Gunjan will excel... but the question remains.... How will he help her and WHY ?? Is love a good enough reason for all this trouble he went through ... Where is the businessman in him that sees checks and balances.... profits and loses....
I loved one thing for sure.... his determination to excel... his adamacy towards perfection.... reminds me of very few men I know in my life.... because for them only success is the thrist quencher...
I hope I made sense.... take home lesson I guess is.. Be one not what you can be....but the one you ought to be...

@AJ
👏👏👏

Quoting Bruce Lee ""If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them"

Majority of people tend to do two things (my life experience is limited so of course I may be incorrect). Firstly they compare themselves to those 'worse' than themselves, ie 'at least I am not Hitler' thereby subduing that inner yearning of their soul for nourishment and feeding only vain desires. Another lot want to be Number One Only, either exhaust themselves in that pursuit and if attained live in fear of falling OR if unable to succeed they stop short of failing/achieving. In either case they lose out in both the thrill of the journey and the joy of success.

I learned a long time ago that we should only compete with our own selves, our own goals and our own achievements. If you let your eyesight be dazzled by other lights, you will be unable to find your way in that brightness but rather let those lights guide you along your own path as and when they find you.

Each one of us has our own potential, means and unique aspirations by fulfilling we bring light to this world which when refracted through another's eyes is as fruitful as it is colourful. For example the character of Neel, as AJ pointed out, through his one light has imbued so varied souls through his diligence.

after coming back to forum after a long time... this is one topic that has intrigued me as much as the character of neil did!! thats because you pretty much wrote what i was thinking...👏👏👏
i ll not talk about the career aspect because i guess most of them here and of course Mayank😉 have said it all!!
at first when i heard about his entry.. i thought oh no.. not again,, not another new character now.. but as the story pregressed i realized this is one new entry which is sensible, a character that is pure.... it is one entry in mjht which is there neither as a negative or positive.. its just a character as you said!!! i dont understand why soe people on this forum are angry with this character.. he is just being himself.. he has genuine feelings for gunjan... and his entry will only help samrat and gunjan 's relationship to become more stronger!!

all relationships have to go through ups and downs and several tests... this is a true test for their relationship.... just as Mayur's relationship was tested during the marriage track.. it only brought them closer and helped them understand each other better and brought them together forever!!similarly Sajan's relationship is being tested now!!!

at the same time i also feel for the character neil because of the situation he's in.
now that he know's gunjan loves samrat.. it ll be interesting to see his reaction..will he just get out of the way and keep his feelings for himself?? or will he let her know about his love..?? or will he turn negative from now trying to separate them???... again all of these reactions are quite natural for the situation he's in..will have to just wait and watch the progress of his character from now!!

thanks for the topic AJ.. i know i m late on this but i couldnt help myself from commenting on your topic!!👏👏👏

P.S: one thing i have realized on my return is that the no. of good topics on the forum is directly proportional to how good story/track in MJHT is..!!!
