AJ...I am sure the scene could have been taken in many ways but, in this case, the idea was to show a disagreement with Nupur , and thats the message I got, and when he was saying all those things, it did turn more into shock than a sudden reaction ..may be a silent show of support would have made a better impact, but him just being there doesnt make the support any less in my opinion.

@Taps, as far as I saw Arjun Bijlani was NOT blank and this is no misplaced sense of loyalty,
it was not the expression that was generally expected in the set of circumstances ..maybe! (Blank expressions by AB is something I have an aversion to and sample the locket track for that)
Maybe in general, Mayank is supposed to be protective of Nupur or possessive, as some people said. I say let her be,,,lets see if she can handle this herself

LOL...Divz..he was stading there silently not doing anyting when she is getting left and right for marrying him and spreading gandgi in college....and he stood there doing what exactly.....getting shocked...hmmm.....

If some one said that to me My hubby would literally go at him....no rationale what so ever.....If he thinks I am out of line he will talk to me personally...publically he would go like a cannon ball....

I think at a actor level it could have been most definitely better than this...there is no impromptu reaction there....it was an failed attempt...he didn't deliver what I thought I would see...even standing in the back ground...worry, anger, something would be nice.....standing doesn't help.....the same guy who was infuriated at one sentence of RV....now his being shocked because of politician is saying it...or he wasn't expecting the politician would say it.......I am not sure...what he was feeling...

i think it was right....i mean to see someone paralyzed is a big deal....especially when its you wife's sister......i think he was very practical in not saying anything to devraj....its not like mayank ke kuch kehne se devraj apni haar maan le ga

i think mayank is of the sorts who believes that actions speak louder than words.....and he supports nupur but at the same time devraj is insulting nupur for something for which he has to backing for....i mean he cant say anything in defense to their marriage situation becuz i guess the circumstances will always seem wrong

but i fully support mayank....there are times to show your emotions and speak up and there are times when you should keep mum........mayank will show he supports nupur when he stands beside her to fight for gunjan's justice

yr this is not a comparison post let it be plz dnt compare this scenes n his expression wid gunji scene but kuch to express kiya hota on tht bit of time i noe k mayu support karega nupz ko but me sirf is scene k observation batarahi hoon thts it

Mayank is a thinker and Nupz a reactor. Where Nupz is concerned, he is generally protective of her but, here she was not being physically threatened and he told her not react but, she chose to react anyway. If he backed her up even silently then it might have instigated the situation further and he would have tipped his hand to Devraj (right now Devraj considers him harmless). Mayank unlike Nupur has had time to process the situation... he knows betta then Nupz how much trouble Adhiraj is in and what damage/hungama has already happened at the police station and college. As such, he recognizes that Nupz stance won't be effective as Sammie already tried the same and failed.
