When they signed up for the show a year ago.. The actors knew very well that eventually somtime in the show.. they are goingto have to do such scenes.. so they had a year to mentally prepare themselves for it.. AND to answer your questions.. Is it for real??? See. thats why they are called ACTORS because they have to ACT and make the audience believe them.. AND to do this they get paid tonsss of money.. YES and when its performed welll, we all believe them and we become their fans and they get awards for their performances..
YES.. In some instances... attracttion does play its part and which is why many onscreen couples even become offscreen.. NOT because they performed intimate scenes but because they spend soo much time with each other on sets etc..
You have to keep in mind that when we see it on TV.. it appears so fantastical and magical BUT in reality they are shooting this sequence in front of 40 other cast and crew..Cameramen, lightmen, spot boys etc with several retakes.. SO there is very little chance for actors to ACTUALLY be intimate with each other WHILE SHOOTING an intimate sequence..
AND when the actor and actress are both doing a fabulous job of making us BELEIVE In their fantasy., we are awed and floored by their "chemistry.".. I AM AN ARTI FAN so I am totallyyyyyyyyy floored by every scene and trust me I WISH AND PRAY every day that they have a thing for each other in real tooo.. LEKIN !!!. KAASH yeh sach ho..

This is my thesis of ACTING and ACTORS... If somone is shy, reserved, conservative, etc etc.. then ACTING IS DEFINITELY not their field.. Considering the amnt of competition and the heights and lenghths actors have to compromise on is pretty insane..NOW take for RATI for example.. POOR thing.. she said in her TT interview how embaraased she was while shooting for pehel baar..She AND ARJUN probably are extremely comfy with each other BUT I dont think any actor can every get comfortable with the idea of doing a scene like this in front of 40 odd other people... LEKIN if they have chosen acting as their profession, then they have to NIBHOFY it .. !
