In my opinion youth base never have these types of scenes guyz some peoples watch these youth shows wid their younger brothers sisters nd smtime family also but again wht we do its demand youth base mostly watch online by youngers.........so many watch their fav serial on PC ....I m also pehli baar mayur and roshni se sajan seq on PC ..NOT WID MY BRO AND SIS ........its also depend on your family environment......its not looking so odd to watch these scnes wid family.........but its all depend on a person mind and family environment
but if u go uk country like this its like disney shows guyz..........but we here many hindu and muslims which never like these scene
for me its wrong ..............but its my opinion again i said its depend person mind or family enivronment
intmacy shows a relation.....its wrong i don't agree their r many ways to show a good relation...........but kahi na kahi our daily shows demand these intimacy scene..........but guyz i really like arjun in pehli baar and monaya in roshni se.....they do fabulous job👏

I think you are not right i dont think that a young tv show there parents should to watch it because it a teen drama and not a saas bahu drama so all the romance scene we all expect it........

I dont support such scenes.Intimacy can be shown in many ways...its not by just touching and feeling someone. The way Nupur and Gunjan portrayed their feelings,it looked as if they were going to do it😕
If you see wake up sid or jab we met..there were many heart touching scenes. In terms of meaningful scenes,MJHT has not shown even an iota of what we see in a 2 and half hour movie.First show such beautiful moments...then if you have nothing left, next option is to titillate the audience.in that way...mjht has a long long way to go,but the director and creatives have directly shown that it is ok to romance and ''touch'' each other before marriage.Im not against intimate scenes....just compare the intimate hug of jab we met and intimate scene of mjht.not just the portrayal...but the circumstances that lead to it too.

*Do You feel such intimate scene should be showed on TV? No, not really. Especially since they are Hindus, and before marriage it's culturally wrong. But generally if there is a background, maybe.

*Is it Right to have such scene's in the Youth based Show? Depends.
*If its Right, then Why do you think It is? And if Its Wrong then Why? It's wrong because of my above explanation.

I think some close scenes are ok but not such intimate scenes. let me repeat the words YOUTH BASED SHOW. meaning anyone from the age of 8 to 18 will be watching it. Thereare some people who would not be comfortable watching these scenes that are being shown. I think the scenes should be less intimate for the sake of the younger audience.

I am not active on this Forum though do watch MJHT on a regular bases and seeing this scene on Tuesday made me so happy because it was such a nice break from everything on TV it was so much better than any other show which just had unnessecary drama, I mean I haven't enjoyed MJHT in months I have hated all the current tracks including MaYur's marriage because I was like marriage so soon, they haven't even finished college and stuff, neither of them are settled, I mean the whole marriage thing was annoying with whoever she married it wasn't needed in MJHT and I felt the show just lost its charm there which I was so glad to see back on Tuesday but what next a SaJan wedding?!?! Sorry excuse my rant but I am hating all the tracks recently on Star One expect for DMG which is becoming slightly annoying but oh well.

Anyways back to the question, I am sure everyone watches a show for the storyline at first but later it always becomes a jodi, I mean with many shows you start with the concept then you see the Jodi's and then you watch the show for the Jodi's so if they are having an intimate scene you are so happy for them, cause you want them to have romantic moments its part of being in love not the arguments but the love as well!

Should it be shown on TV well yes, because it is a part of life so why not but I personally find it akward to watch the scenes at home with my Gran and Dad watching TV with me, because I want to watch the scenes but its so akward to watch the scenes so I kind of semi watch them then I have to come online to watch them!

On MJHT all the scenes MaYur's Pehli Baar and SaJan's one on Tuesday were shot so well that it wasn't crude it was shot really well and I enjoyed both the sequences. As for being a youth based show, youth know about this stuff but does it make a difference because they show it in Saas Bahu shows, there is romance in all shows, they all have romantic/ intimate scenes, so because it is a youth based show it shouldn't be shown?!?!? 😕

Just my view but I did read what Sano said and it is true about Gunjan's character but she was still shy and nervous and did back away but her emotions were shown well as well!

As a general viewer... i think these kind of scenes....are not good to show on the screen...as its like showing college life and also teens watch it so ..its i think a bad influence :S ...

Nice post Preeti
I personally don't mind
but my parents do...
but just saying as a MJHT viewer/TV show viewer
It's a modern world
where people kiss and do things (won't get into detail)
many times I go to the mall
and I see people kissing
at movies
at a park
even at school
so I think it's no big deal
it's that person's decision to watch it or not
now considering I'm only 12
I do feel unconfortable watching it around my parents
and I don't have that much time though
so I watch it on youtube
but thinking about it
MJHT is a youth-show,
and it's suppose to show the modern age
and if you think about it
intimacy is one of those everyday things
that happens between people
where you see in many places
so I think it's fine
as long as the actors are comfortable doing it
cause I know they would feel a little uncomfortable
us viewers have the choice to watch it or not
you can filp to another channel or skip it (on youtube)
your choice
that's all I'm going to say

Interesting topic! Brought me out of lurking. :P

I'm not against the concept of intimacy. I'm just against these youth shows using it as a ploy to garner better ratings. And I'm against the intimate scenes that are inserted randomly without it making any sense with the storyline whatsoever.

What irks me the most is that the creatives aren't bold enough to show an unmarried couple sleeping together but they want to add some masala to the show. So they come up with a weird khichdi where the couple does pretty much everything that there is to do without taking their clothes off ... lol ... what kinda logic is that? Either show them sticking to hugs / hand holding / etc or just show them giving into passion. If a couple is not bold enough to sleep together, they shouldn't be doing the hanky panky business either. And if they are the type to do the big deed out of wedlock then they wouldn't JUST be frocliking around without getting down to business. The two things just don't make sense.

So no, intimate scenes aren't wrong in my opinion. But yes, when they make no sense and look absolutely far-fetched with no relation to the characters or the plot, they ARE wrong.

Great post! Thanks for starting this!
Not thinking from MJHT perspective, as a general opinion, i wouldnt mind if they show such scenes. Beacause intimacy is part of every human's life... If they show family drama which involves funny moments, emotions, love then intimacy can also be part of it... The scenes that they show is just 15% to 20% of reality.
So basically it should be a part of the show and not to be treated in a cheap way.
