of course the marriage is legal....we have to believe that....cos even if mayank is still in college .. it doesnt mean he s not 21... actually most of us complete graduation when we are 22...and its not clearly shown in the serial whether he s doing graduation or post graduation.... its not needed for me to mention and justify all these things but since you have raised the topic i m trying to clear it out so that no one else will raise this topic again.........
more over .... if you are soo upset with this marriage then what is balika vadhu about???????if showing under age marriage was such a sin then why did people accept it and why did become soo popular?????

who knows they might have completed their graduation and doing their PG now....remember nupur and gunjan speak about thier college in morena at times....so just think that they have completed their UG there and come for PG here.......come on... its a serial after all....!!! and as far i know the CV s are not soo stupid to show such a thing...like under age marriou age...!!!

i m sorry if i m rude.... but please dont mislead people and divert attention by posting such doubts.... you might just create a controversy out of nothing and land the CVs in trouble for no reason......!!

no offence to anyone...!!! i feel i m elder enough to clarify your doubt...so just felt the need to clear the air!!!!

Balika Vadhu was supposed to be about Child Marriage whereas MJHT is (rather was) supposed to be a "youth" show.... It isn't about Child Marriages and all, atleast it wasn't this way when it started.

But then again wiki is an unreliable source... 😆

Very true Namz! wiki is unreliable - anyone can update it!! I was also thinking that if they're 22 - they should be done with college and Mayank should be doing his Masters!! 😆

@ DiyaS-nd please dont be so worried about bursting my bubble...i am not in a bubble neither am i floating in a fantasy...i wanted to know how this thing is possible....if i get a proper answer i will accept it...

@naya177- yes i do think it is rude...I wouldnt use such a tone and neither do i work against or for the Cvs to lead or mislead anyone...balika vadhu is a serial which spreads social awareness and what sort of awareness does this serial spread?

Time and again MJHT has made fun of the medical profession and law and oreder in various epis...like RV blood drawing one, Mayank fighting the case for Samrat, the jail track where Police were more interested in making lovers meet....

if it is meant for entertainment only let it stick to that...why use issues which it cant deal? and this i am saying after my experience with MJHT....I have nothing for or against it....

i agree that MJHT is not about child marriages....and thats what i reiterating too...if it is MJHT then how can you say its a child marriage !!!!!! there s no rule that if you are still in college you cannot marry as long as you are not under age...!!!!! i have seen soo many of my collogues in my college who got married while still in college and they even continued their studies after that....and their marriages were perfectly legal!!!!

i mentioned balika vadhu just because.... the one who posted this topic was against showing child marriage on tv..... and i just meant to say that even after my explanation if you still think that they are showing illegal marriage in MJHT then take balika vadhu as reference ...that is if its ok to show such things in another serial...then why not in mjht???? after all irrespective of the show....the rules are same for all!!!

i m stressing once again i dont think they are showing illegal marriage!!!

All I said was that MJHT isn't "supposed" to be showing such under-age marriages, because it wasn't intended to be a show like that. And anyways, Mayank is under-age. And he is not doing his PG or whatever... It is illegal and some people do not wish to see such a track in a youth show. But since you like the track, fine.

Rinky, don't know whether you thought that was a "proper" answer or not 😉 ... but this is an issue which is very close to my heart and gets my goat 😡 ... the fact that so many parents in India still think of daughters as a burden, meant to be married off at the earliest ... maybe because I work in this field and see so much of it, I have very strong feelings about this!!!! And don't even get me started on female foeticide ... i don't know how old you are and if you've heard of it ... and that happens among educated, wealthy people!!!! 😡

Aj, hi ... yes, i think i see too much of this ... and the consequences ... you're a doc too, so you understand what i'm talking about.

even I can edit wikipedia and make mayank and nupur 10 year olds according to its page🤔

considering the legal aspects of it.. once u are 18 u are free to do anything u want... even marry....

the advisable age is 21 which is beyond the point...

that is the legal answer to it..the non-legal expletives shall be transferred to u via another source

Diys ofcourse i know of female foeticide...female infanticide...dowry deaths etc....and i dont plan tro disclose my age cos am not a teenager....lolz...

just answer this question...People in graduation arent generally 22...i by chance mayank hasnt falied one year....it has been mentioned in the serial that they are i grads and not post grad....the library scene where nupur is mislead by mayank asks for post grad books then mayank and his mother scene....where she mentiones garduation in advertising specifically...

i want to know how is mayank's age justified.....

edit

caro can guys marry before 21?

my dad is a lawyer rinky

guys can marry after their 18th birthday....

it is legal...

but it is not ethical for a guy who is dependent on his ma to marry and add one more burden to his ma😊
