Without that attraction, you're just friends - and that happens for most people in college - you don't fall in love with everyone. That was why he always insisted that they were only friends. After Sheena made his doubts start, he has been feeling awkward around Gunjan, because he's become conscious of her not just as a friend, but as a girl, and all those hand touches which had become very casual between them, started becoming more awkward.

The two scenes were actually very logically done - he's removed flour from her hair before, but the way he removed the sparkles was very different ... and that led to his fantasizing the kiss ... which has made him realise that she's much more than just a friend, because he's looking at her so differently. SG were always very cute - but they needed that spark to set off the romance, and I feel that's what has happened. It's not just lust - lust happens when you don't care for a person but just have a physical attraction. This is love - the attraction has happened way after the emotional closeness happened.

i agree with u diya, ur very much crct attraction is also an imp factor but somehow i felt that they were showing that attraction is only the imp factor..for samrat....
may b i'm wrong bcoz many of them r seeing it in the other way

may b aftr the kiss , they should have showed him in confusion for some more tym n then remember his dream gal's description n then KJ in BG n then finally realization wouldn't have been this irritating for me

i respect ur opinion kavya!! but i took that scene lightely...and i really thought that somehow attraction was indeed missing in their relationship...and finally they showed it....perhaps it was the wrong time...i mean....they could have showed it after the realisation...maybe...and then atleast misunderstandings wouldnt turn up....but now after u mentioned this ...im having my doubts...no offence...but i think what u said was the intention of the creatives...but luckily most of us didnt take it that way....atleast i didnt..thank goodness!😛 btw: Heyyyy Kavya !!!! n tll yesterday i was ol but this kiss thing was disturbing me n if i come 2 mansion i'll disturb ppl like anything n they'll get mad,... so stayed away frm that place...lol

@Kavya: A hug would have been perfect yaar...or some kind of moment of attraction....anything...him getting closer to her and snapping out of the moment when she calls out to him....there are many many ways they could have shown the attraction....they were doing ok till KN....then when this kiss happened, I was like...woahh! What just happened to SaJan?? Personally I didn't like it.....it took away from what they actually are...sweet, innocent and cute.....and like I said....aaj tak they never even showed Samrat kissing his other GFs...toh how did he jump to a neck kiss so suddenly when it came to Gunjan??? Very jarring. If THAT is what the creatives wanted to show in how Gunjan is different from all the other girls in his life...then frankly it was a pretty senseless way of showing it....the fact that Gunjan IS different and special in his life has already been shown in many different ways and the attraction aspect of it could have been shown in a better manner too.

I can see that a lot of SaJan fans enjoyed that kiss...maybe as a stand alone SaJan romantic moment....but personally I think it really was at a very wrong moment in their story and did more harm than good....but oh well, Samrat's wild imagination has calmed down since then....LOL...

LOL Kavya....that's why I said a lot of SaJan fans...not ALL SaJan fans :P...haha....you and a couple other ppl are the only SaJan fans I know who didn't like that bit....baaki everyone else is pretty much in love with that scene.....haha

Yeah I'm surprised they didn't show that bit from the promo with him talking about his dream girl qualities etc. etc....but if I recall correctly, a couple epis back during one of his extensive self chat sessions, he was making references to the whole 'thousand guitars and drums' bajengi bit from his 'what will my dream girl make me feel like' speech, no??

yeah...but u know...i was really fed up with all the friendship thing and all....and there were also hugs when they were really friends...so the kiss scene was played a role too....but i dont think it was the only factor!!

That's an interesting perspective ... I especially liked your last paragraph. I hadn't viewed the kiss that way before - they did need a spark to set off the romance now that I think about it. What made it creepy though, was the fact that Samrat was fantasizing it. I wanted them to have a close moment but a real one would've made more of an impact. It didn't have to be something as drastic as a neck kiss (because a non-fantasy neck kiss would've made things really awkward between SG later). Something else - like perhaps a spontaneous goodbye kiss on the cheek - could also have defined Samrat's attraction to Gunjan. Neck kissing is generally considered more intimate and at that specific point it seemed out of place. The camera angles didn't help; neither did the strange angle at which Mohit tilted his head while going in for that kiss.

Maybe now, after realizing his love it won't look as awkward for Samrat to imagine something of that kind. I just didn't like the fact that he was suddenly thinking way ahead of himself and one imaginary kiss pushed him into acknowledging his love. Whatever it was ... a neck kiss or anything else ... should have been real. Being a figment of Samrat's imagination this early made it weird in my opinion.

i was k till the end of KN.... it would have been wonderful if the realization happened there itself with KJ as BG n everything without the kiss scene
k many ppl liked that scene.... those CV's know this fact n they trapped (sry if offence... this is my blunt POV) viewers... wat a crap.... this single scene spoiled the whose cuteness of sajan.

@ bold: Exactly! These days they seem to be trying to recreate the kind of romance that a certain other youth show thrives on. It might have worked with that show's leads but SG are different.
