I do agree with the fact that Nupur's childish behavior was not at all a good act plus the way she disrespected Mayank was painful ! But I guess, if a guy truly loves a gal . . . no matter what he has to do for her happiness, he'd do it. 😊😉

haila!! that means my hubby doesnt love me at all!!! (falling on the bed in kekta maiyya's serial ishhtyle and crying out .
He wouldnt pick up a locket even from the floor if I throw it and challenge him to pick it up!!
does that mean he doesnt lowwwee meeee 😲😕😭..

I think the show has maybe lost its novelty and innocence somewhere along the line. It seems like the creatives ran out of interesting tracks for MaYur while Sajan's track has been stretched so much, by the time the confession happens it will be like 'well whats new?'. Its so important to get the timing right and even if you are going to stretch a storyline....make it INTERESTING. Its nice to see depth in Sajan's love story but don't make us yawn with the melodrama. Why is it that the non-romantic relationships have been handled better than the love stories? MaYur's first half was great, funny and pleasant to the eye but the second half was confusing, idiotic and oh yes...idiotic.

I want to see more college masti, more exam stress, more academic competitions, more realistic bonding and just that connection back which the show had with its audience.

🤣 those were my feelings after reading this post.
Please tell me you are not comparing MJHT with Harry potter.
I don't think I should say anything............
Just so I am clear, you are saying everything happening in MJHT is justified coz itz fiction right.....
I dont see why you had to bring Harry Potter here, I fail to see the reason.

@bold: those were the golden days, the ball was in our court back then, but now it will better if I don't go there 😡

@ courtney..

First of all a big hug to u for bringing up such a topic.. dont worry u r not alone.. many of us in this forum have been writing endlessly about MJHT's storyline..Sheena and RV"s entries were absolutely unnecessary and why RV n sam cant each has been some kind of a closely guarded secret.. Every episode was well directed in the beginning . As u pointed out, the relationships each shared were very much beleivable..

Would a girl (no matter how kind and loving she was) quietly shed a river of tears while someone wrongly accused her of an atrocious thing she didn't do? Wouldn't she be interrupting and screaming at the top of her lungs to defend herself?

Exactly..when has gunjan ever spoken up for saving her self pride..even if sam had taken sheena's side she would have silently weeped her eyes out in her room and calm her hyper sis by saying 'samrat ko mein hamesha khush dekhna chahti hoon' with that boring funeral background music..
Rule #1: the churidhar clad female protagnist should never defend herself at any worst situation possible and live selflessly for people around her..

And about the new-in-love couple, I have already spoken enough about the 'unique' lover boy Mayank who has become the new south indian action hero pulling some unbelievable stunts in front of nupur just for her smile..Anyway he has shamelessly admitted that he would die to see her happy..wat happened to all his dreams and goals to make it big in life??? i do agree that they have just fallen in love so let them romance but when has he ever shared his big serious moments about his ambitions with her and i am dead sure the creatives have not planned ( and would never) for a similar scene.

The characters no longer attend regular classes, do not have to work on assigments and surprisingly didn't have to sit for their exams after the spring semester. Does Excel not have summer breaks? Why did the students and the professors attend college throughout the summer?

The only professor in excel who made sense was Deodhar sir and he too conveniently vanished after the exam results. Now we r entertained by the multi faceted shukla sir who talks to students in 'shudh' hindi even after class hours..the whole project issue was brought in just to make mayank realise his love for nupur and not as a part of their curriculum..and u want summer breaks?? why not..it will happen out of the blue when samrat falls in love with gunjan when they plan for another outdoor trip.. the college itself doesnt look real let alone their education and academics..

I am sorry to say this but MJHT is not the least bit realistic anymore. Let's be practical;

realism and praticality r against MJHT principles and policies..

would a guy risk drowning in a pool just to please his girlfriend who treated him with disrespect for not liking her childish present?
i am certain u have not read the other posts praising mayank's daring act to jump into the pool for his love..

I cannot watch a serial that insults my intelligence. I cannot watch a serial that passes of childish behaviour as romance.

Childish behavior as romance?? picture abhi bhi baaki hai mere dost..lets not forget that sam hasnt fallen in love yet..u never know..the creatives might be planning for a new entry for Gunjan..

As far as intelligence is concerned, too many things have have surpassed my brains that all i do now is find loopholes and errors and faults with terrible character transformations rather than enjoying it because to me the charm of the show died long ago..

i agree with you.
i still watch the show becaus it is so muh better than those saas bahu serials were everything is extreme, whereas mjht is entertaining to some extent.
and it going alright every show has ups and downs.
i still love the character to some extent, i'm still attatched to the show to some extent.
Since MJHT is only a show that i like (not my obsession) so no matter what happens it's never painful for me.

the bold part same for me.
Topic starter, welcome to the forum. I feel like I have commented so much on this subject. Don't feel like repeating myself. I like MJHT, it rocks for me --- it may not be the same for u --- but I still find it endearing. I think nothing is perfect and besides the forum welcome to showbiz.

He wasn't like other guys on T.V who were either total flirt good heart or a total nerd like we saw in other 9793473488080 shows. He was somewhat a mixture of both and that's what I loved about him. He was guy with good looks, cool attitude, serious about studies (I think he's a, oops correction he was the first guy on Indian televsion who was cool and was actually serious about studies), had nice relationship with his mother. So, I decided give it a try (just for mayank LOL) and slowly slowly I started liking Nupur as well she was total bindass girl not like those 50's sharmili type girls on T.V. And I was dying to see how they both will fall in love, but alas things didn't fall in the right place (atleast for me). And now both MN are turned into jokers of the show. I feel really bad for Arjun-Rati. And it hurts to such an amazing talent being wasted. P.S sorry for the essay,LOL.

@blue: that is one of the reason why I loved him so much,he was not like those other guys. But sadly those days didn't last long. These two characters were so different from other shows that if they would've given good storyline, dialouges, director TRP's would've been right up there becasue they were not like those typical couple that we saw in other 54644465464654 shows and thats exactly what people wanted to see.

What pulled me in was the rapport between all of the characters. Nupur and Gunjan's sisterly bond, Samrat and Benji's friendship, Mayank's love for his mother, the friendly competition between CJ/Mayank and even Dia's crush on Samrat to some extent. This serial was not just about romance; it portrayed all kinds of relationships that people experience in college. As for the romances, I found Sajan and Mayur to be as different as chalk and cheese, yet both had the basic essence of teenage love.

I think the serial is no longer the same. Mayur leave a lot to be desired and the pace of Sajan's story is painfully slow. All of the bearable secondary characters have been reduced to mere props. The new entires didn't help; Excel could do without the likes of Ranvijay and Sheena. The characters no longer attend regular classes, do not have to work on assigments and surprisingly didn't have to sit for their exams after the spring semester. Does Excel not have summer breaks? Why did the students and the professors attend college throughout the summer?

I cannot watch a serial that insults my intelligence. I cannot watch a serial that passes of childish behaviour as romance. I cannot watch a serial where the quiet, studious characters are presumed to be meek. I cannot watch a serial that has become so distasteful even before it completes one season. I am sorry but the writers have lost a faithful viewer.
Please feel free to disagree with me.

@Red: I remember the episode that caught my attention to this show was the MN beach scene. I liked it because of the subtle friendship they had and not the mushy romance. And slowly all the other relationships portrayed in the show pulled me in.... I loved Mayu-mom and GunUr the most... but both of those relationships have been reduced to nothing now.. Somehow the convos between them now are just not the same. What sister hides from her sister the fact that she is in love with a guy? Especially when she is more than just your sister.. she is your best friend... you confidant.. everything you have in this unknown city. It just killed me to see GunUr act like strangers at times.. and SaYank's friendship is become gayer with each passing day.
@Blue: I haven't seen them attend one class in soo long. Many of us had raised questions regarding this but "majority" of this forum will shut you up for asking logical and sensible questions.. Maybe their summer break was during the play or maybe its not with the farmhouse... God knows...
@Purple: Connecting back to my above point... Mayur relationship has stooped down to the lowest level possible. I dont understand how come Sajan were in college while Mayur were on their first date. Didn't he have any classes to attend? The kind of guy he is shown to be he would atleast attend classes and maybe go on the date over the weekend or something and even the sensible Maa of his has become sooo filmy all of a sudden. These people just dont study anymore.
This show is falling in a deeper ditch with each passing day and soon there will be no way to pull it out. The saddest part about all of this is that there are people here who still DO enjoy this crap of a storyline. To each their own but for me this show is merely my laugh of the day now. I come here to see how much worse can it get so that I can laugh at the stupidity of the creatives.

Can I come to defend the sisters relationship? 😛 Sisters can/do hide certain things from each other. My own sister hid her 'love life' initially from me even though we're really close. Sometimes these things happen...out of fear or whatever the reason. I think this relationship is the only one which has remained beautiful since the shows conception. Their scenes come quite scarcely but when they do, they are worth something to the show and just add that depth which other scenes may miss.
