MN Reminiscing: First meeting - Page 2

Hii Anu.....awesome post..it felt really good remembering that episode especially when things have gone from bad to worse (may be worse to worst) for MN...I dont think MN would talk something sensible in that kindergarten scenario...as usual he would be pestering her to say i love you and she would act all flustered and more sharmana....and the thing would be streched like a rubberband for this entire week....wow everytime I mention this it makes me all the more confident for skipping the next episodes😆

totally anu ... dont even remind me of it .. these days I watch MJHT jus out of practice and coz there's nothing btter to watch at dinner ... 😆😆 but honestly I';ve given up caring ... until the storyline improves BIGTIME ...

You know I actually did not start watching MJHT since the beginning.. This one day I was randomly surfing through the channels and I saw a guy and a girl at the beach talking about random stuff.. For some reason, I just had to stop and watch the sequence.. And just fell in love with them after that.

I then went back and checked out some of the older episodes on youtube.

When I saw the dupatta scene I expected them to look at each other and stare for a little bit which did NOT happen and I loved it. I am like nice... it wasn't cliched as usual. And the best part about the scene was that Mayank did not just stand there and think "that scent"... "that girl"... he just thought for a second about who this crazy girl was running around like this and then went back to doing his own thing.

The Loo scene I honestly didn't enjoy as much.. I would have loved if there meeting was picturized a little better but nonetheless I am happy it was kind of close to reality. Nupur is shown to be a little claustrophobic anyways... And again they don't just stand there having an endless long staring session (atleast not what they have now).. She runs off and does her own thing.

The classroom scene is what I count as their real meeting. The falling just happened naturally.. and all the rambling that Nupur does after that was just out of this world. I loved this girl who babbled like she was the queen of the world and didnt care if she was talking to the smartest guy in the college. So unlike the Nupur now who gets all shy and coy around that very Mayank but then again Mayank too is not who he used to be. But I guess it is this classroom where they kind of interact the first time and that is why I love it more than the other two. I love how he has those cotton bud thingies... and after he points to himself he plugs those in.. It was a great start to an awesome relationship of friends, enemies and at that point we thought lovers too...

Ohh so the beach scene pulled you in??? I can SO understand......that was such an amazing scene *sigh*

I watched from day one....LOL....first epi out of curiosity but only hung on cuz of MN.....and god have they wrung me out like crazy so many times😆....

I also didn't like the loo bit as much....but since it counted in the whole 'first day of meeting' bit...it figured in this post😆....but you're right...they did add a relatively realistic touch with Nupur's claustrophobia...my fav. bit was the last scenes in the classroom....everything from the trip-catch to the cottonballs bit in the end....they had me hooked there and then😆😆.....

I liked how M was just so....real! He didn't waste his time in random b.s. and was so to the point....in his own way, he was trying to be 'helpful' to the new kinda zany girl in class😆...but Nupur being Nupur...had to take off babbling....something M had zilch patience for....and what she babbled made no sense anyways😆😆....M was just so amazingly unique in that he was a nerd...but a COOL nerd....that laid back, self-confident aura he had...loved it!

I am unable to press the 'like' button, AGAIN- uggghhhh!

Anu, I honestly did not read so much into the first meeting scene - I had started with viewing MJHT on a very superficial level and to be honest, I did not like the episodes before that. The 'ragging' and prank playing was YAWN worthy , it was even more silly that Dia and Gang HAD TO rag Nupur-Gunjan because they were from a small-town *rolls eyes*....Anyhow, then came MN's first brush with each other (literally n figuratively) and it was no different from the regular 568750978 TV scenes I have seen EXCEPT that Mayank did not get 'dazzled' or 'affected' just because N's chunri swept across his face. He was passing by N as he'd pass by any other stranger while walking on the road and he'd turned back when she said 'sorry', like he would have turned back to any stranger who'd bumped into him in a hurry n apologized, to tell him/her 'its okay' BUT knowing our Morena Express' hyper-ness and haste she did not give him a chance to do so in a hurry to get rid of that paper stuck on her back LOL. Okay, so she gets locked up (silly 'prank' again) in the LOO and he finally saves her half irritated by her hyper-ness n the stuff she has been saying from inside - THEN MN have their first encounter with each other as N suddenly rams into M n starts crying on his shoulder . Poor M is in a fix, he is PRETTY bad at this stuff - should he console her by saying something comforting? Should he just let her cry on him for some more time without saying anything? (LOL) Or should her ask her not to react this much? While M is still wondering what to do, N pulls herself back and uncovers her face so dramatically (I will be honest, I was looking at her red nail polish in that bit; she was wearing a green dress, red nail polish on a green dress? The mismatch put me off plus her nails looked like vampire's nails because of the red shade, I am sorry but I am kind of fussy about such things...anyways, let's continue) and in typical Hindi film style NAZREIN MILI but wait yeh kya hua? Our heroine ran away in hurry, without shying or expressing her gratitude for him, not even a simple thank you , she was just too upset over this whole thing to bother to say a thank you to M for helping her out LOL, leaving him perplexed, trying to figure out what just happened. Okay MN meet again in the class as N trips n M almost jumps to catch her like a fielder would jump on a reflex to catch a ball in a cricket match. They look at each other for a while after M catches her n N is in his arms - it was hard to comprehend what they were thinking , I guess she is a bit surprised with him suddenly preventing her fall by holding her and he is, in turn, amused at her clumsiness like you said Anu. So, our hero decides to break the ice and then comes the famous "Aur kitni baar girengi aap?" from Mr Mayank (sarcastic) Sharma- now that really caught my attention about him, he was not flirting with her or trying to chance pe dance maarao but is genuinely wondering what's up with this girl and her penchant for landing up in sticky situations LOL and he expresses the same succinctly and smartly. Of course our pataka being a pataka hated his guts to say that to HER - the Madhuri Dixit of Morena LOL so she gets back at him; some lame guy passes a chindi comment to embarrass her even more and she occupies a seat beside M as the lecturer arrives just then. Some more pranks and classroom troubles later, we see a lost , confused and worried N. Now here is where Mayank did the MOST endearing thing - he cared to cheer Nupur up and make her feel comfortable by saying "lagta hai ki tum college main nayi ho ....." (aww, that was SO sweet of him , apna M proved that zabaan se woh thoda kadva zaroor hai lekin gudh se bhi meetha hai when he did that). Again, what does our N give him in return? Not a formal thank you or a smile or introducing herself to him but blabbering on n on about her problems (as if he is interested)..finally making M regret for showing sympathy LOL.....And then N goes n asks him who is Mayank Sharma n M's answer to it in actions and not words, by stuffing the cotton buds in his ears 🤣🤣🤣 - CLASSIC! That is also something that I totally LOVED about Mayank Sharma- a man of a few words 😳 😳 who believes that 'actions speak louder than words' 😆 😆
After watching all this, I , as a viewer wondered - HOW in the world can these two fall in love? The prospect of these two becoming a couple was very intriguing n that riveted me about MN
