@Eloquent: I agree with you, but the problem is those disagreements are never presented in a proper tone by the "+ve" members here , also snide remarks are being used to present an opinion. Is that a must? I believe an opinion can be presented without deriding somebody else's or trying to force their views on others. For example when I criticize the story or track, I just say "I hated this particular scene" and a disagreement or critique to that statement can be something like "I liked that scene for so and so reasons" but most of the disagreeing posts usually go "I like that scene because UNLIKE SOME PEOPLE I don't believe in complaining and enjoy what I see" or "If you didn't like it stop watching it". I am sure you can notice the difference between the first instance of a disagreement post I presented and the next two ones. My topic simply concerns the latter issue.

Anyway, back to the topic, even when we use no sarcastic comments or abuse any rule the topics are still closed. I don't understand why!! This is a forum, which is a general place for EVERYONE to express their opinions which includes criticism and praises. If all we are to do here is praise the show then it should be renamed as a FanClub. If someone critices an episode.. they're included in the negatives league and like Kanika said topics are opened which includes the first line stating very clearly "There is so much negativity here!" 🤢 If someones makes a spoof in a respectable manner even that is not appreciated. We just want to express our opinions. We criticize the show in the hope that it gets better! When we try to find some logic in a track, we are advised "its just a show", then why discuss it if its just a show?

We don't want anyone to change their POV because of us, we just want to discuss our POV freely.

The like button is still giving me problems.. it works for some posts and gives error for some. 😕

@bold: Fabulously said Nimrah 👏 That is exactly what I wanted to convey through this topic - you hit the nail on the head.

There seems to be some technical problem with 'like' button functioning on I-F. Most of us are facing the same issue

having different opinions is not a crime .. ni the inital days v as fans got hooked on to to different jodis ... soem were SG n some were MN fans ..... at tiems v had arguments even but v never entered each others thread to threaten them or anything .. .both groups were hapy in there worlds !!!!

@bold: I do not know what to make of it either but we have been victims of it for long , haven't we? I remember some kind soul even said "aise natak mat karo" when we were criticizing something earlier on.

Just because we do not believe in pressing the report button at the drop of a hat, respect and value the actual purpose of it, people think they have full rights to belittle us and our opinions at their will? 😕 😕

After all....what's the point of a person starting a topic if not to get feedback from others...wherever it may lie on the positivity-negativity spectrum?

The thing is....whenever you start a post....you are also posting a piece of writing...which will be read and judged and analyzed by others...even if you are writing a critique yourself....that critique itself will also be judged in turn...some will praise it...some will criticize it.

Ofcourse there's such a deliciously fine thin line b/w a fine intelligent criticism and a "taunt" and it's so difficult to define this line as its boundaries keep on changing in every instance...

And the whole thing about newbies and oldbies....well even the newbies have a right to express their views (which doesn't mean they..or anyone else for that matter have the right to attack anyone in a rude and offensive manner)....

Well my point is....criticize the content of the post in a constructive and intelligent manner but don't go after the poster...
