Mere haath me.. is an extremely romantic song and not many actors, especially on television, can carry it off convincingly. Add to that some far from alluring costumes and an eternal struggle for run time - the task gets even more difficult. But despite everything, Arjun and Rati were so par excellence in their portrayal of the characters that the task ceased being a task at all. Mere haath me seemed to me a love story straight out of a fairy tale; the kind of love that lasts eternally and never dies out... After what seems like eons, I am presently in the kind of mindset that almost allows me to forgive all the flaws in MN's track. Well, this may be a beginning! 😉You stole the words right outta my mouth... This is exactly what I was thinking after watching the episode... I am willing to overlook all the flaws in their track cuz it finally seems to be coming back on the right path and hopefully it will stay now..

My favourite parts:

* The beginning of the verse - mere haath me - I thought Arjun was brilliant there. The choreography given to Mayank could have been a little better but with whatever they had Arjun did do a brilliant job

* The scene when both are at the makeshift balcony - Rati gets phenomenal by the minute. She was S-U-P-E-R-B. This girl need to be in bollywood.. its like you said she is just SUPERB in every single scene even if it has the cheeziest dialogues and choreography ever..

* The hug - its beyond description or dissection. Mayank was initially surprised and then so clearly ecstatic about Nupur probably reciprocating his feelings. How tightly he hugged her, and she did too, seemed to foretell how they would never let each other go.. This was clearly the best part of today's episode.. The hesitation he had initially and then the realization that it is actually Nupur and not Isha who is hugging him. The expressions on their faces were just out of this world. They took a very simple overdone scene to a whole new level.

* Mayank confronting himself about how things were unpredictable for the first time in his planned life. It said so much about Mayank as a person and to me, it justified so much as well. Mayank tried out those theories on Nupur only to keep his life planned.. he tried to carry over the values he put in his work to his love as well.. but Mayank finally knows that love doesn't work that way. Finally Mayank is back in character.. Instead of smirking and mouthing off cheezy dialogues to himself, he actually spoke something that made sense and something that Mayank would do. And him running behind Nupur just showed that that is exactly what "old" Mayank would do in this situation... Trying to see if she was okay regardless of the fight.

* Nupur thinking about why she had hugged Mayank. Rati does everything so well - I could feel Nupur's pain and confusion. Sheer brilliance! The best part about this scene was in the very end where she shuts her eyes.. It almost seemed like she just wants to take that piece of her heart that keeps thinking of Mayank and throw it out but she is unable to do so... and every time she closes her eyes she still thinks of Mayank..

What I did not like:

* Putting Sajan in the song for such meaningful lines was a bad idea, in my opinion. It did affect the pace and the impact of the scene and was totally uncalled for. Oh well. In PD's words editing of intercutting between scenes is supposed to pace up the scene. I guess the creatives just don't see how it takes away the intensity of a passionate scene when u paste in other stuff there. Editing has always been a major problem with this show.

On the whole, Fanaa was magical. I like to dwell on what is rather than what could have been. And at present, love is all there is. Things like reasons, build ups, logic and clothes have ceased to exist.. at least for a while. 😃 I actually even liked Nupur's outfit today. It really suited her. The logic stuff yeah I guess we can't change what we have now. We can hope from hereon, they will not go off track with Mayur. I hope the confession is subtle and something only for Nupur to understand rather than a cliche' scene with Mayank going extreme DTPH stye..

My favourite parts:

* The beginning of the verse - mere haath me - I thought Arjun was brilliant there. I completely agree!! Beginning was magical!!

* The scene when both are at the makeshift balcony - Rati gets phenomenal by the minute. She was S-U-P-E-R-B. Did u notice the pain in Arjun's eyes wen Rati moved away?? God!!

* The hug - its beyond description or dissection. Mayank was initially surprised and then so clearly ecstatic about Nupur probably reciprocating his feelings. How tightly he hugged her, and she did too, seemed to foretell how they would never let each other go..I have becum helpless..i have no words 4 this...exactly wat u wrote....the hug was the best HUG n also the best way of showin a HUG on ny TV show till date!! U cud literally feel the pain n restlessness of love! EDIT: 1 more thing i wanna add-the pain in Mayank's eyes wen nupur pulled away n nupur's realisation tht she wasn't supposed 2 hug wen she opened her eyes n looked up at him...*sigh*

This was very imp 4 the track acc 2 me....it justifies a lot!!

* Nupur thinking about why she had hugged Mayank. Rati does everything so well - I could feel Nupur's pain and confusion. Sheer brilliance! Here comes my comment on Rati's acting...phenomenal! anger, pain, confusion n the sweetness of LOVE- all in 1 scene! How did she do it?? We cud feel all emotions at the same time...also the snow meltin line was soo nupurish acc 2 me..i wanna thank the dialogue writer 4 once!!

What I did not like:

* Putting Sajan in the song for such meaningful lines was a bad idea, in my opinion. It did affect the pace and the impact of the scene and was totally uncalled for. Oh well. It was nt needed i agree...bt acc 2 me it didn't reduce the mayur magic...so no regrets!! i've accepted it!

On the whole, Fanaa was magical. I like to dwell on what is rather than what could have been. And at present, love is all there is. Things like reasons, build ups, logic and clothes have ceased to exist.. at least for a while. 😃@purple....agreed! no issues wid clothes...liked it 2day!

My opinion in red! I mostly agree wid u!

Debby, I must say you made a wonderful post.
Arjun and Rati went beyond my expectations today. The over-all presentation of Fanaa was very well executed. I agree with the negative point. It was a distraction for me personally, but again the hug was so intense and full of emotions... it made me forget the little distractions. My final say is Fanaa was Amazing!
Lovely post once again.

U have just hit the bull's eye

Mere haath me.. is an extremely romantic song and not many actors, especially on television, can carry it off convincingly. But despite everything, Arjun and Rati were so par excellence in their portrayal of the characters that the task ceased being a task at all. Totally Agreed...I was absolutely disappointed that mayur was not given enough space in the 1/2 an hour episodes which get hit by adverts every time something great is on screen...also that lot of sheena thing is shown...too long scenes which were bigger than Mayur scenes..BUT TODAY WAS GREAT..............The song was picturised so beautifully that it surpassed all expectations

My favourite parts:

* The beginning of the verse - mere haath me - I thought Arjun was brilliant there...

."Arjun is so so SPECIAL"

* The scene when both are at the makeshift balcony - Rati gets phenomenal by the minute. She was S-U-P-E-R-B....

Rati has beautiful range of expressions ..she hits the target in evry scene..makes it special

* The hug - its beyond description or dissection. Mayank was initially surprised and then so clearly ecstatic about Nupur probably reciprocating his feelings. How tightly he hugged her, and she did too, seemed to foretell how they would never let each other go..

The beautiful emotion of love not expressed to each other was expressed beautifully by the brilliant Arjun n Rati...The hug spoke volumes about what each is feeling for the other..My God the small smile on Mayank's face after he realises that Nupur has hugged him impromto was so so very sweet and amazingly done by Arjun with so much restrain

I was actually questioning this scene by Mayank coz i thought that after Nupur hugging him, he may have felt that Nupur ishaara but after reading your analyses of that scene i have changed my mind...U r right..it is his entire persona which is now contradicting his actions..COnfusion ovr how to go ahead will make the love story more amazing to watch..

* Nupur thinking about why she had hugged Mayank. Rati does everything so well - I could feel Nupur's pain and confusion. Sheer brilliance!

Nupur's spontanious reaction after the fight .....beautiful work by creatives..

What I did not like:

* Putting Sajan in the song for such meaningful lines was a bad idea, in my opinion. It did affect the pace and the impact of the scene and was totally uncalled for. Oh well.

I too agree..sure enough the words suited Sajan but if picturised i am sure it would have suited Mayur as well...Please creatives don't break up mayur scenes with any other character..Please give each couple equal space and dialogues or expressions...

On the whole, Fanaa was magical. I like to dwell on what is rather than what could have been. And at present, love is all there is. Things like reasons, build ups, logic and clothes have ceased to exist.. at least for a while. 😃

overall........... Fanaa was magical

I too agree with everything you mentioned Debby, though Sajan's scenes didn't distract me much coz Mayur was so MAGICAL....👏

loved each and evry bit of the song... Mayank and Nupur's expressions on the Top....😍

Mayank's expressions during Nupur's fall.... so painful yet straight from the heart😍

and before the hug... the Mayank holds her from behind... just LOVE him yaar🤗

and FINALLY! UFF the hug... i just loved them both. the way nupur hugs him unintensionally and Mayank's reaction after that.👏

LOVE MAYUR! THEY MAKE ME PROUD👍🏼
