That, according to producer Vinta Nanda, is the reason for Miillee going off air

It must be tough to bid adieu to a show like Miillee that was close to your heart…
After Tara, this was one show I put my heart and soul into. And after innumerable ups and downs, we actually managed to pull it off and that is a big achievement.
But isn't half the battle won when your show is on prime time slot?
That's not completely true. A bad show flops irrespective of the time slot and vice versa. Miillee went on air at a time when saas-bahu soaps were ruling the roost. Most people said that a format like this might not work. But I was adamant and stuck to my conviction. And not so surprisingly it has done reasonably well.
But there is a section of people which believes that the viewership of the show drastically reduced after the focus shifted from the love story...
I disagree. The story of a daily show keeps changing all the time. There is no concept of a bound script. To my detractors' disappointment, Miillee's TRPs are fine. I think we did well for ourselves.
If the show was doing well, why did the channel decide to take its prime time show off air?
Miillee is going off-air some time in June. But that is not because of low TRPs. I know who is spreading rumours its low TRPs. I've never bothered about what other producers are up to or how their shows fare. Miillee is going off air because its leading lady Mona Wasu's contract ends in June and she has said that she doesn't wish to renew it. And I do not believe in replacements.
Have you planned another show after Miillee goes off air?
There are a few shows in the pipeline but nothing has been finalised yet. I also intend to work on the new season of Miillee. I hope things materialise as planned
