Character Redemption

Honestly? I don't think neither do.

The kind of love story they share, one is bound to wrong the other at different points. Sometimes Ishani, sometimes Ranveer. I've always said this, they were best of friends but it wasn't an entirely honest relationship. Ranveer harboured these intense feelings and kept them suppressed for far too long. One day or the other they were going to take a toll on him. Not only was his love intense but it was also forbidden. He was the servant and she was the master. Even now she has that control over him and always will do.

I think what Ishani did was sheer stupidity but I never doubted her love. As the audience we may question why Ranveer can't see through her real intentions. The answer is quite simple. His character has not seen what we have. He does have some grey traits which make him a bit aggressive but they are all centred around Ishani. If he's like this it's because of Ishani (regardless of whether it's her fault or not). She is at the centre of his existence.

I don't think either need to be redeemed. They've become how they are because of each other. Some love stories are meant to be tormented and in the grey. Their actions can be questioned because they aren't perfect but their love is their reason for living.

Then I think neither could also have been one of the options...
