Chapter 41

Tiff between sisters

Disha smiled at her big sister, Ishani was acting like her old self. She smiled at her sister knowingly and said:

"Love makes everyone crazy "Disha said with a sly smile and Ishani looked at her annoyed.

"Disha , I am serious I don't understand what is on his mind " Ishani said and thought about the back and forth steps.

"One of us takes a step ahead and then the other one take a step back " Ishani said and saw that Disha was still wearing that smile on her face.

"You know every time I see him with you and Angela, those moments are the most wonderful ones in my life. It warms my heart to see the love and respect you all hold for each other. But then there are times that remind me that I do not know this man anymore, as if he is a stranger even though the fact is that I've known him my whole life. "Ishani shared with her sister.

" Like I said it is love " Disha said kindly and Ishani frowned .
" Disha please bacho wali bath na karo , you are still stuck on the word love "
"Ishani, if you listen at yourself you will also understand that you still love Ranveer "
"It does not matter if I love him or not, we are just not meant to be together "Ishani said, trying to look determined but Disha saw right through her sister and got annoyed.

"I had heard that love makes you crazy, but you two are height of stupid. I know that you both loved each other and you are hurt with what happened eight years ago but don't you think Ranveer has suffered for his actions. He lost the respect our father held for him, and we both know that papa was the closest thing Ranveer came to a dad. He lost the job he loves, and many will think that it's just a job but for Ranveer it was a part of who he was. In all these eight years, I've seen him live like a dead corpse, he is doing a job he do not love but still takes all responsibility for all of us. He has been there for every single one of us, even though we kept him away. I held the same anger against him like for a long time, until Angela came into my life. For the truth is that Ranveer is the one, who gave me a reason to live, again."


For me I think Ranveer has paid the price for what he did eight years ago, yes what he did was wrong but I know that Ranveer is a good person, and I also know that you know it deep down. but you are afraid and Ranveer are afraid as well. "Disha told the truth that came straight from her heart.
Ishani looked at her sister for a long time and wished her life could be like Disha had.
" I wished my life could be easy just like yours " Ishani admitted , but regretted it as soon as she saw how Disha 's face turned pale and she could swear she had never seen her sister like that.

" Don't you dare say my life has been an easy one , because it always have been the opposite. When mom died, it stead of grieving with my family I was sent to a girl school in the USA where I was all alone and have to look after my self . Then I found out I have cancer and return back to India , I had to stay far away from my family even when I was so close. When I finally won against cancer and could marry the man I lovee without feeling guilty for ruining his life and sometime after when we got the biggest happiness any couple could get. But then I lost our child, and my soul died but then Ranveer brought Angela in our life and that girl becomes our Angel, the source of our happiness and the reason of our existence. "

Ishani looked at her sister tearfully and wished she could take her words back , when she was about to apologize to Disha she heard her sister continue :

"You know what that biggest difference between us Ishani is that you feel sorry for yourself , and that is the reason you are not happy. My life is not perfect Ishani, and the truth is I don't want it to be perfect I want it to be real. The real life is full of ups and downs and I grief for everything I have lost and live for everyone and everything I love. It is time you and Ranveer learn to do that "
Ishani looked at her sister completely speechless, Disha had never talked to her this way and she knew this was something Disha really meant.

And deep down, she knew it was true

MM, this is undoubtedly my favourite scene now. This chapter was an one - army rule and that was solely Disha. The maturity and practicality with which your Disha lives her life is amazing!

I loved the way she made Ishaani understand that life is about accepting what comes your way and not constantly whining about how unfair it has been to you. I was sad though that Disha lost her child before she had Angela later on.

But now the soup of mystery thickens. So this incident from eight years ago was something which made Harshad Parekh hate Ranveer and the girls blamed him for it too. And Ranveer lost his job too! Good Lord, what must it be? This is all too puzzling.

You must reveal the suspense about the incident eight years ago now. I am really getting the heebie-daba-jeebies thinking about what must have happened that caused so much bitterness in everyone's heart.

Which also reminds me. Where is Harsh ad Parekh? Is he alive still?

Chapter 42


The dark truth

He is sitting on a playground, he could hear the children singing children's songs and he can see two of the girls he loves most play together. He sits at such a place where the pretty Norwegian nature is right before his eyes. His eyes are dazzled by the sunshine, but the heart had not experienced any sunshine in eight years. But in the few days he experienced a big difference.

And behind him there is a small waterfall, and the sound of water had always had a calming effect on him. But now it helped little, for if someone else put in his place they would felt so happy and contented, for who could wish for more: a perfect seating in a perfect park, perfect views and perfect weather but Ranveer was not enthralled by the beauty after all the winter cold had not abandoned him and it resulted in that he could not feel the sun that slowly but sure began to shine more as time passed.

Ranveer had forgotten one of the most important things he had learned in life; no matter how dark a moon was , it could not stay dark for there is nothing warmer than the sun and the sun had the ability to warm any moon.

His two angels comes over and sits down next to him, nobody says something. Angela put his head on his shoulder and get occupied by watching the beautiful view. Ranveer observes a couple passing by him and smile at them and Ranveer see where there gaze is- And his eyes fall on Angela who had her head rested on his shoulder and a smile on her face that could bring a smile on your face and Ishani.



Ishani , well he can 't remember the last time he had seen her so happy. Since Ranveer had left to check on Shikhar at the dinner , Ishani was acting like her old self. Smart, funny, witty and happy. Ranveer was happy with the change, but wondered why the new change. Ishani was busy at admiring Angela 's happy face while her head was on Ranveer 's shoulder that she did not notice the admiring look she was getting from Ranveer.

Ranveer looked at the couple once again, understanding why they had smiled. Because the tree of them had looked like a happy family and perfect family, but Ranveer knew another true. Ranveer never wanted a perfect family, all he wanted to bring happiness in everyones life and protect them.

Ranveer " he heard the melodious voice of Ishani , she had not said his name like that for years and Ranveer could swear that he heard his own heartbeat again after eight years. Not the saree accident, was able to do that. If the saree accident had brought the care side from him , he wondered what her voice could do to him.

"Yes " he said , deciding not to sound cold or happy so it would be naturally.

" Can you look at me please ? " asked Ishani kindly .

Ranveer really did not want to look at her , afraid that he would let his facade down. But he also knew that Ishani was smart , if he did not look at her she would understand that something is wrong.

When his eyes locked with her he could swear it was like those eight years had not happenend. Because for eight years he had seen pain in her eyes , but what he saw now was only determination and he remembered the Ishani who made an oath to fight against his demons with her love.

" Thank you " she whispered , bringing Ranveer back from memory land.

" What for ? " asked Ranveer

" Today , Angela came closer to me . A lot thank 's to you " Ishani said kindly .

" What does that have to do with me ? " Ranveer asked

" I know that trick , Ranveer so please just accept my thank you " Ishani said , scoolding him like a teacher would do. Well , Ishani was a teacher and he smiled thinking that Ishani was really a teacher and started laughing.

" Why are you laughing ? " asked Ishani irritated.

" Feeling sorry for your students" Ranveer said teasingly and was accepting her to hit him on the shoulder but instead she gave him one rare smile which was a true childish smile straight from the heart.

" We are acting like we used to when we were children " Ishani smiled , but to her disappointment Ranveer 's smile disappeared and he said :

" But the dark truth is that we are not those people , Ishani " Ranveer said .

" Of course people change with time , but our heart remains same " Ishani said before she added and said : " You are still Ranveer and I am still Ishani "

" But did you really ever know Ranveer ?" said Ranveer , afraid that Ishani will stopp hating him.

" Stop doing that " Ishani said , her face turned red due to anger .

" Doing what ? "

" Don 't try to act dumb .You say that you love me , always have and always will . But you have not tried once to win me back , to be honest you keep reminding me that you are a betrayer . Ranveer , I think you are hiding something from me and I am going to find it out. " Ishani said smilingly , and Ranveer tried to hide the fear he was feeling.

" I don't know what you are talking about "

" I know that you do " Ishani answered , before she added : " Best 17 mai , the parade was lovely and to add to the fun Angela I got to eat the ice-cream we ever tasted " Ishani said , her eyes twinkingly her heart finally finding hope that Ranveer might not have committed the crime he had said he had done.

But that was the thing about hope, it was beautiful and could heal the most broken heart but at the other point hope could also be dangerous like a fire because they could lie to us and having false hope could lead to even move broken heart because when a healed heart gets crushed again then the chances for it survive become less.

AN : Chapter 42 is Down and I know this Chapter was not a good one , and maybe it is confusing as well but in thenext chapter you will find out what made Ishani think other wise :) Sorry for any typos and please let me know what you think ?
