Chapter 29
Pain from the loved ones
He could not remember the last time when he was so nervous, maybe on her birthday when he was going to confess that he was madly in love with her. He knew they had to talk, because he was sure that that she knew something was wrong as much as he was certain that the earth was round.
He cursed his father, his hate for the man only getting bigger. They had enough of their problems, now his father had to show up. He sighed, why could not there life for once be without problems.
He knew how much pain Ishani was going through because of her sister's illness, and her worries will get bigger when he will tell her about his father. He had been there for both sisters, been a shoulder they could cry on. He had been best friend for both of them, letting them scream at him to get there frustration out and hugging them when they needed his care and love. What he was about to tell Ishani would only make her concern and worries more. But it would not be right if he did not tell her, after all Harshad uncles had once told him that the key to a successful relationship was communication.
He opened the door with the key that her father had given to him several years ago when Harshad had to go undercover for a mission and had asked him to stay with Ishani. Ranveer had given his words to Harshad that he would look after her. Ranveer saw no one in the living room, except one of the servant. Ranveer went to him and asked about Ishani, and was told that Ishani was in her room. He thanked the servant and went towards her room.
He stooped outside her room and thought again whether he should tell her or not. She has full right to know it he reminded himself. He opened the door slowly, making sure that he did not make any sound.
She was standing by the mirror in the room and was very nervous to meet him. She had never been nervous to meet him; since she was always comfortable with Ranveer and had known Ranveer from they were kids. She was really happy and thankful that her lifepartner was also her bestfriend that made things allot easier. She smiled and knew that Ranveer would understand her concern, because he would have confronted me if he was in my shoes.
He hugged her from behind and she saw there's reflection in the mirror, she had to admit that they looked very good together. But more importantly they were connected to each other with heart and soul , they always had been since children. They both shared a bond which was unbreakable, because there love for each other was immortal.
"Hey, beautiful "he whispered in her ears and she blushed by his word. Only Ranveer could do this , make her feel loved and wanted no matter how many worries were in there life. She could not help smile from ear to ear, she had missed him terribly in those days. Although they had been together throughout treatment to Disha, but they had not have time to spend some quality time together where they could only bee a normal couple.
But what had hurt her deeply was when he had stayed away from her the past days and how he had avoided having contact with her. The smile disappeared from her face.
He saw a tear fall in corners of her eyes, and Ranveer got tensed by seeing her tears. He turned her around gently so they could stand face to face. He wiped the tear and could clearly see that Ishani was upset and he knew she was upset regarding him. He felt like a bas***d, he knew how emotional Ishani got when it comes to her loved ones.
"I always say that I will not bring tears to your eyes, but I do not know why I can not keep that word" Ranveer said, feeling annoyed with himself.
One statement from Ranveer and Ishani could feel the depth of his love for her. Ishani leaned her forehead against his forehead, both of there's heart beating faster due to there closeness. Both smiled, feeling happy and content, and Ishani 's worry flying to Ranveer and Ranveer 's worries flying to Ishani.
" I'm not afraid of tears and do not care how many of them falls from my eyes , all that matters for me is that I have you to wipe them and that you care enough for asking me the reason for me having them " Ishani answered completely honest.
"Always and forever "Ranveer promised and wondered how Ishani always did this.
"How do you do that?" Ranveer asked her completely enchanted.
"Do what?" Ishani asked Ranveer in a singing voice, her eyes still closed.
"Get me to fall for you, all over again "Ranveer said and kissed her eyes, Ishani shivered by the contact.
She hugged Ranveer, resting her head on his chest listening to his heart. Ranveer had always teased her for her height by calling her chortu, but at the moment she was thankful for her height.
"You know I am happy that I am short, because short people can hear the other person's heartbeat when they hug them. It gets more special when the heartbeats are calling my name "Ishani said sweetly, and Ranveer smiled from ear to ear.
"Coming back to your question, what can I do after all I am amazing you are bound to fall for me all over again "Ishani said and heard Ranveer laugh in response . She got out of the hug and saw the sparkle in his eyes, which had been missing for a while now. She admired him watching he laugh, she blushed realizing how handsome her Ranveer was.
He laughed to his heart content. This reminded him of all the years they spent as friends. He stopped laughing, just Ishani could make him laugh no matter how intimate or serious the situation might be. As if some magic had happened, Ranveer and Ishani was no longer nervous of the conversation as both had faith that no matter what they would handle in together.
Both sat down on the bed and looked at there hands which were interlocked. Both were waiting for the other one to say something.
After a while Ranveer asked a question that had been in his mind for a while. "Do you think it is right to love someone who has caused you pain?" Ranveer asked, really interested to hear her opinion on it.
She was surprised by his question, but she could see that he genuinely was wondering about her opinion.
"It 's a very difficult question. I think it depends on the situation. After all, it is human's nature to hurt each other just as much as it is our nature to care about each other and love each other "Ishani answered thoughtful. She started pondering on her relationship with her father and as well her relationship with Ranveer.
"Take me and my father as an example. When my mother died, I needed him and my sister more than ever. But he sent my sister to the United States and he himself got busy with his work to forget his grief. It hurt me quite deeply, but I gradually realized thanks to you that his intention was never to hurt me. I forgave him, because of his intention and also because I newer stopped loving him. "Ishani answered completely honest.
Ishani studied his face, which was staring at there hands. She could see that there was a lot on his mind.
"Even you have hurt me "Ishani said, she got his attention now . He was looking in her eyes, pain , worry and love clear in his eyes.
"It pained me when I found about Disha 's illness and that you have hided it from me. But I could not hold a grudge against you when I knew that you intention was clean and you would never think of hurting me ever "Ishani said, she could still see the pain in Ranveer 's eyes.
She gave a kiss on his cheek to reassure him that she was fine. Ranveer smiled at her , wondering how lucky he was
"Ranveer, what is going on ? " She finally asked him
"My father is back "Ranveer said emotionless, and saw Ishani was completely stunned her eyes wide- open.
AN : Chapter 29 is done :D This is really unreal for me , can not believe it . I can't thank you guys enough for your gyuys love and support. I want you guys to know that from bottom of my heart that I am thankful for everything .
