So Ranveer has been distant these days because of his father and Ishaani has no clue of what's happening. Hmmm. There is pretty much cooking up at the moment with the plot.😉

Chapter 27 : Partners

Sheikar was getting home from work , usually times on work flies because of his partner 's company. But Ranveer had a day of and Sheikhar had to admit that work was really boring , he had just known Ranveer in few weeks but had already started trusting him with his life. Sheikar wondered why Ranveer took a day off and thought maybe he should call Ranveer to know if everything is okey. After all that was what partners do , they have each other's back .

Sheikar saw that he had one unmissed call from RV, that was what Sheikar called Ranveer and everyone in the unite started to call Ranveer Rv as well. Sheikhar called RV and listened to what his partner said and agreed to meet him. Sheikar drove as fast he could, concern for his partner getting the best of him.

" Sheikar can you do what I am asking you to do ?" asked Ranveer his partner

Sheikhar nodded and said firmly: " You are my partner Ranveer , I will always have your back. Don't worry I will make sure that this man will not come anywhere close to your family . " Sheikar said and wondered what kind of enmity Ranveer shared with this man .

" Thank you Sheikar , I knew I could trust you with this " Ranveer said and was thankful to have his partners support. Ranveer saw that Sheikhar looked confused.

" Ranveer , why would this man want to hurt your family ?" Sheikar asked

Ranveer eyes's turned dark and Sheikar got worried to see Ranveer like that , his partner was one of the good guys but seeing like him could make anyone unsure .

"Kailash Kapoor and I go long back , let 's just say that he want to write a different end then the end we had " Ranveer said.

"Ranveer maybe you should listen to what he says ?" Sheikar said not understanding why Ranveer was so stubborn about this matter.

Ranveer looked at Sheikar coldly and said :
"I rather die , than listen to what he has to says. This man can't rewrite the ending. " Ranveer said and Sheikhar wondered what did this man do to RV that made his partner hate him so much.

Sheikar sighed , knowing that his partner was a very personal person and that he would not easily tell him about what happened between him and this man.

" You got my words RV , I will make sure that he does not come face to face to anyone of you . " Sheikar said honestly

Ranveer thanked him and was leaving when Sheikar question stopped him :
" Where are you going ?"

" Where my heart is '' Ranveer said honestly before he left Sheikar thinking about Ranveer 's answer.
" Hmm , RV you are mystery my friend . But what to do , I am detective and it my job to detect. "

Sheikar said and decided that somethings his partner will tell him , something he will have to observe and something he had to detect.

"Didi , do you mind me asking something ?" Disha said calmly, worried how her sister will react.

" Of course Disha , you can ask me anything ?" Ishani said kindly.

"Do you love jiju ?" Disha asked Ishani seriously and Ishani was taken back by Dishas question.
Ishani stood up from the chair and said: " How can you ask me that Disha ? You know that I love Ranveer more than anything, Ranveer hai to main ho "Ishani said , love evident in her voice and in her eyes.

Disha smiled and said: "Then go and confront your man. Yes, I know he is a closed person , but you are his lifepartner and have every right to know what is going in his mind " Disha said and saw that her sister was thinking about her words.

"You are right, Disha . I don't know why I was getting emotional "Ishani said and followed her sister to her room before she decided to call Ranveer.

"Enough is enough Ranveer "Ishani said stubbornly, tired of their life always being complicated, for once could they not be an ordinary couple.

Ranveer called Ishani before Ishani could call him and said shortly: " I am coming at your house , I need to talk you " Ranveer said .

"Good, because we really need to talk "I shani said before she closed the call.

Sheikar called Harshad and said : " Meet me at the office , it is about RV "

"I will be there right away "Harshad said , worried if Ranveer was in trouble.

Short chapter MM. 😭😭😭 But a very informative one once again. So, Shikhar and Ranveer are the new partners in the precinct. 😛 I'm glad to see that their friendship is good enough over here and Ranveer can trust him, given the type of reserved personality he is in your story. Also, Ranveer's this side is pretty intense, given that he'd die rather than see or talk to his father. I'm happy however, that Ishaani is finally ready to talk her mind out to Ranveer and vice-versa. I wonder what Shikhar called Harshad for though. 😕

Chapter 28: Never judge a book by its cover

Shaikar waited impatiently, he could not stop thinking about the dark look in Ranveer 's eyes. He was not getting a good gut feeling about this, Ranveer was his partner and he needed to know what that look in Ranveer 's eyes meant.

Harshad arrived at the office and found a worried Shaikar sitting in his desk, Harshad could see that Shaikar was lost deep in his thought.

"Shaikar ?" Harshad said to get his attention, when Sheikhar did not react he said it once again this time louder. Shaikar looked at Harshad and was relieved that Harshad had come.

"Thank you sir for coming "Shaikar said kindly

Harshad nodded and said: "Shaikar what is so urgent that you needed to meet me at this time?" asked Harshad seriously.

Shaikar needed to get the information without telling Harshad about his meeting with Ranveer.

"Sir, you know my partner is a complicated man. Don't get me wrong there is no one rather than him that I would want to have my back " Shaikar said , admiration for Ranveer clear in his voice.

Harshad nodded and told Shaikar to go on.

"Well, he is my partner and it is important that I know everything about him. Do you remember that on our first day as partner you gave us both files that contained all the information we need to know about each other? "Shaikar asked Harshad.

"Yes, I remember that both of you refused to read it. " Harshad said calmly, understanding where Shaikar was going with this.

"RV said no to read mine first, when he did not read mine I did not read his "Shaikar tried to explain.

"Are you having a second thought about the file?" Harshad asked gently.

Shaikar nodded and Harshad told him to follow him. Harshad brought Ranveer 's file and handed it over to Shaikar. Harshad studied Shaikar; he could see that the young detective was struggling to decide what to do.

FLASHBACK

"Sir, I don't need to read Shaikar file to decide if we can be partners or not "Ranveer said and looked at a shocked Shaikar.

"Sir, I don't need words that are written from others about my partner. I want to get to know him by myself, and I want that trust you and Arjun have to be created between Shikhar and me.It is important that the trust comes naturally. I want to trust him, because I trust me judgement, and that to be proved when we fight by each other's side. Not because I read a file, I don't want to judge a book by its cover, because I know that a file never can describe everything about a person. I want to know Shaikhar by the source himself. All I need to know about Shaikar I will get to know from him. "Ranveer said honestly and gave Shaikar smile.

"Wow, Partner your thought's are different from everyone else "Shaikar said who was amazed by his partners response.

"What to do, I have a different perspective than others" Ranveer said with a smirk and Shaikar laughed. Harshad smiled and was happy that the partners were getting along.

"So Shaikar what about you?" Harshad asked Shaikar. Shikhar looked at the file, and then he looked at his partner.

Ranveer laughed and said: "You can read it, don't make a decision because you feel you have to the same as me." Ranveer said kindly.

Shaikar smiled and after a while said: "It would be an easy way out to read this file and get to know everything about RV. But I never take the easy way out sir, I am all in this partnership and I don't need to read this file sir. Because it would tell me what I already know that RV is a good cop. "Shaikar said and looked at RV, a new kind of understanding between them.

FLASHBACK ENDED
"Shaikar, are you not going to read the file?" Harshad asked gently, understanding how difficult it must be for him.

Shaikar looked at the file in his hands and said: "I have every right as his partner to know what is written in this file "Shaikar said more to him than he said to Harshad.

"Ranveer won't mind" Shikhar reassured himself before he closed his eyes and remembered RV refusing to read his file, all the stakeout's they had together. Shaikar opened his eyes and asked Harshad

"Did you ever read Arjun's file? "

Harshad smiled and said: "In our tenth years anniversary as partners, we both read it together "Shaikar laughed by hearing Harshad's reply .

"I can't read this sir "Shaikar said and Harshad smiled , understanding his decision.

"Because I trust my partner, and I know that he is one of the good guys. I am proud to be his partner"

So Shikhar and Ranveer have built a very good foundation of trust about their friendship. 😃😃 I'm really glad that he didn't read the file. 😆😆 But I really liked the whole file thing in this. It made for a very wonderful read with a lot of depth in it. ⭐️⭐️
