Chapter 26 : Our life is never without problems
She hated it.
Disha was not allowed to leave her room since her sister had found out about the illness. She loved her sister immensely, but she felt like she was trapped in her own house. Disha did not have the courage to say this to her sister , because she feared Ishani might turn into Sunny Deol like she did some days back when Disha had refused to eat the healthy meal Ishani had prepared . Disha sighed, she missed her jiju. Her jiju was overprotective like Ishani , but he knew that Disha needed to feel alive so he made sure that Disha also had some fun. But her poor jiju did not say anything when Ishani glared at him.
Disha does not want to tell her sister, but she was tired . Tired of fighting, tired of seeing her family broken because of her condition. Every day her family member will sit nearby her bed , holding her hand and talk with her . Disha was feeling weak and sore, the white walls in her room seemed to be trapping her.
The room was to lifeless, to still and to cold .
Disha stood up from her bed , she could not be here anymore .
"Sorry, Didi but if I will be her another minute I will go crazy "
The last month had been very hectic, treatments for Disha had fortunately gone well and Ranveer had been the biggest support to both sisters. But in recent weeks Ranveer was behaving suspiciously and first Ishani had assumed that it had been because of work , but now she was wondering that it was something completely different.
"What is bothering you?" Disha asked her dear sister.
Ishani was surprised to find her sister in the library .
"Hmm , nothing Disha . You should not be here, you need rest" scolded Ishani Disha.
"Di , I have rested the whole day , and I am tired of being in my room the whole day . So I came to the library, thought that maybe I could find a good book that I could read in. " Disha explained.
Ishani nodded and asked Disha to sit with here and Disha did like she was asked , afraid that Ishani would turn to Sunni Deol like she did some day .
" So I never thought that meri Disha would come to a library and look after a book " Ishani said because the Disha she has known had always been more into fashion rather than in book's like Ishani.
Disha smiled and said: " Me either, for being honest. But at hospital book's become my friend and now I understand why you love reading so much " Disha said kindly. Ishani froze at the mention of hospital and guilt overwhelmed her , knowing that her baby sister had to go through so much pain and she had not been with her at first.
Disha understood what her sister might be thinking, so she decided it was best if she changed to a lighter topic.
Did you know that my charming jiju introduced me to " The Kite Runner " Disha said and was expecting her sister to smile at the mention of Ranveer 's name , but to her surprise there was a frown on her face .
Disha wondered if everything was well between her jiju and didi. She had not seen anything before now that would make her worry, but she knew that since someday 's back Ranveer was acting different and he hold distance from Ishani and her .
" Didi , please tell me jiju is okay " Disha asked concerned , worrying for her jiju 's wellbeing.
" I wish I could tell you that , but the true is that I don 't know anything " Ishani said and then tears started running down from her eyes. Disha hugged her sister and made a promise that she would make sure nothing and no one would come between Ranveer and Ishani.
Disha said to herself : Jiju I love you , but if you have done something that will hurt my sister then God save you from me.
" Ranveer , please try to understand " Amba asked her son for hundredth time.
Ranveer was disgusted by his mother , he could not believe what his mother was saying,
" Maa , of all people this is coming from you . You want me to hear what he has to say , for me it does not matter if he is alive or dead okey." Ranveer said harsh and his mother started crying , thinking who unlucky she was.
Ranveer 's had never been able to stand tears in his mother 's eyes, so he gently with love and affection wiped away her tears.
"Maa , this is the reason I don't want any relationship with the man is the reason of you tears. I don't want to hear anything he has to say. Let 's forget all of this , okey maa . " Ranveer said gently and his mother did not say anything , Ranveer was worried what his mother would do but he trusted her enough to know that she will respect her feeling's.
" Maa , if you go and meet him or talk to him , then you can forget that you have a son " Ranveer said giving Amba a ultimatum Amba looked up shocked at her son's word , but she saw her son looking at her seriously and she knew that he was meaning every words.
"Maa , I am doing this to protect you and our family . We should focus on supporting uncle , Ishani and Disha those people who care and love us and supported us when we needed them the most. Now they need us, I don't know about you but I will support them rather than listening to the person who never knew our worth and did not care about our happiness." Ranveer said firmly before he walked out of his house.
Ranveer took up his cellphone and called the one person he knew could help him now.
"Come on Sheikhar , I need you take up the phone " Ranveer muttered .
